HTC Sense LWP port 1.0 RC1 1-13-11 - Hero CDMA Android Development

This is pretty awesome with Sense widgets.
This is a Hero Sense port of LWP support within Sense from freshes release on the legend section.
Minor changes for stability on our phones.
Minor bugs are being worked on as well. Like some lwp FC
New rosie frame with weather animations supported.
OC kernel recommend.
Must be running a HTC 2.1 sense Rom for now rooted.
Flash zip in recovery.
MOD EDIT: Link removed due to violation of rule #12

Does it work on zenexp

Everything at the moment is test and we can figure out what it works with and what it won't work on. The Rom listed on the OP is the only setup I know it works on at the moment.

So you start with the NFX Rom and then flash this new file?
Do you have screenshots of what it is/does/looks like?

Yes
It adds lwp inside of sense with out losing sense animations or changing launchers for lwp support.
Please report your findings. I'm still working on some fixes and ports

2.1 items usually don't mix well with Zenexp. Of course I'm curious enough to try it out tonight though (if someone doesn't beat me to it).

Well, I figured I would give this a try. On my Sprint Hero, I was running NFX-Sprint.STOCK.2.31.651.7.ODEX.A2SD, but wiped data and cache and loaded NFX-Sprint.STOCK.2.32.651.2.ODEX.A2SD and then flashed this Sense_Rosie_Hero-LiveWallPapers-MOD-1.0rc1.zip in recovery. The only LWP that worked for me was Maps. All the other LWP's on the list wouldn't load at all. So, I then wiped data and cache and loaded NFX-Sprint.STOCK.2.32.651.2.ODEX.A2SD again and flashed OverClock-691_Bootimg.691.ondemand.zip for it, and then flashed this Sense_Rosie_Hero-LiveWallPapers-MOD-1.0rc1.zip in recovery. Same results.
So much for trying this out...

I get the same results with any live wallpapers on 2.2 ROMs as well as 2.1. Barely any work. Maps works but is slow and a battery drain. I had a Matrix one working once, but that too wasn't worth the battery hit. I don't even bother with LWP anymore.

Sprint HTC Hero Sense UI on CM 6.1

I love the speed, and flexibility of the CM6.1 stable rom. However, there are some parts of the Sense UI I'd like to have back. For example, HTC sync with Outlook. I do not want to pay for the third party software for that. Is there any way this can be done on the CM6.1?

Yea, I don't know if this rom is stable enough yet. I'm really just a end user not in the dev business. I like CM6.1 just wanting some (not all) sense back. Sense by itself is stupidly slow.

I can't link it atm(on phone), but there is a sense mod for cm6 that I have injected to the latest stable cm. Just search my posts.

Yes it is, but I don't think you can just install it over the final, injecting it works, but installing it causes boot loops as far as I know.

Here's that sense based mod injected to 6.1 final.

I take no credit for this, just injected and re-posting since it's been asked for.
All props go to mrinehart93 of course for all of his work with the theme, all I did was inject it, so thanks to ASimmons for the injector also.
There is also a mod to use with Launcher Pro that makes the home screen look like sense also, it is all pretty easy to setup.

AwesomeRom-Triphoria-ICanHazNetflix? 5/12/11

Welcome to AwesomeRom!
This is my first rom on xda.
enjoy
v.1-Warm edition: a fantastic romp in the woods. this version includes a variety of images and theme files from Myn's Warm 2.2 rom for the HTC Evo.
v.2-Same as v.1 with a few behind the scenes elements. now incorporates bcnice20's 1.51 OC_UV kernel. system apps and frameworks have been zip aligned and png optimized to reduce roughly 5-6 megs. this allows for faster boot and load times, as well as allowing for smaller memory footprints. optional apps have been moved to SDCard for your installing pleasure. just use file explorer to install.
v.2.2- Same as v.1 and v.2 but with a few implemented fixes. Htc_ime should no longer continuously force close. changed system fonts to look a little bit smoother. changed a few misc image files to look a little bit smoother. Added a second option for everyone who doesnt want to use sense. Boot audio has been removed. Charging animation has been fixed. now more accurate
ReduxV1-fixed somethings, updated some images, busybox symlinked correctly, new bootanimation. other changes done, but its 331am and im still not feeling well. Images removed. Posting Updated Images Later.
ReduxV2-Fixed more things. restored old boot animation. updated some apps. updated visual voicemail (may get stuck "verifying account information" just hit the back button to make it shutup). couple of other odds and ends.
Triphoria-alot of changes. mostly to note: theme changes. phone boots with govenor on concervative 246mhz-1.3ghz by default. no need for setcpu. most sense artifacts have been removed. more updated list soon to come...
dont install setcpu or anything else unless you want to change the clock speed. its set to 246mhz-1.3ghz with a conservative governor on boot. enjoy

Fire & Ice looks sick. Might have to flash back to Shooter to give this a go. Great job bill!
Bug help?
Flashed Fire & Ice and it is much smoother than the stock Shooter theme on my EVO.
It seems to have broken Titanium Backup (FC after all app data loads), and all of my shortcut icons are the same blue market one (shortcuts still work though). Icons are normal in the programs list.
Same results with Blue Lightning.
Any suggestions for a fix, or is it possible to roll back to the stock Shooter theme without re-flashing the ROM?
TIA
-Will
That is an odd one....might try wiping cache and reflash the theme...all the files in both themes are the same ones used in the shooter rom. Just edited some images. Might have been a bad flash or download
If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll put a stock theme together for you to roll back to.

Thanks Bill!
I cleared cache/dalvik, re-downloaded & re-installed. Only icons for apps installed on the SD card (98%) didn't load. The card tests A-OK though.
I JFGI'd (shoulda done that first--my apologies). It seems this is a somewhat common GB/sense issue according to the Mik Mik forums: goo.gl/gS6Ib
I force stopped HTC Sense. All my SD app icons came back within seconds of HTC Sense restarting.
This seems like a tolerable band-aid to me for now until I upgrade ROM releases. Next time, I'll have more patience with restoring apps & data.
Thanks again Bill and to all for input.
Thanks Bill for the new version 2.4 of fire and Ice.
I see you tweaked it a bit and shrunk by about 18mb for more space.

[ROM][ERA][EC05] Simply AOSP Version 4.01 Released 10/17/11

Simply AOSP 4.0
NOT SO STANDARD DISCLAIMER:
I, nor any of the ERA team is (are?) responsible for bricked phones, damaged SD cards, bad flashes, hurt feelings, crying, sleepless nights, restless leg syndrome, constipation, Cher, or any of the other various things you may encounter by installing custom firmware on your phone. Reboot into recovery, wipe everything 3 times, select ROM. Those are your instructions. Anything you do outside of that is on you.
Changelog:
Completely new base ROM used. Ecooce's as-of-yet unreleased Frankenstein v.4 was used as the base for this version. Ecooce provided a very stable, very small ROM that works perfectly with the Simply AOSP we've come to know and love.
All of the latest and greatest build.prop tweaks have come together to create a very fast and stable ROM with excellent battery life.
Volume Hack (Thanks mkasick)
Hotspot Hack (Thanks necrosan)
RFS/EXT4 Compatible (Thanks Officerpolabear)
Wifi scan interval set to 5 minutes to save battery
Simply Settings theme app included
Original Moto Droid 1 AOSP wallpaper (The one that started it all! Well, sort of...)
Genocide 2.0 Kernel (Thanks Rodderick)
Root/SU in ROM rather than kernel, feel free to flash!
Journaling On by default
No default memory-killing settings: compatible with v6 supercharger and other great scripts (by popular demand!)
Audio files and sound defaults from Cyanogenmod used for alarms, notifications, ringtones, and UI. Really can't get more AOSP than that!
I know everyone says this, but there really is a lot included that isn't listed here. There was a lot of moving and tweaking until just the right mix was found.
Huge thanks to TheDub, JohnCorleone, Ksmullins, Compkid, the ERA Team, and a whole slew of other people that helped with testing and answering questions. I couldn't have done it without you!
A COUPLE OF NOTES:
Updated Changelog
We tried to correct all of the issues that people had mentioned; all of the original UI notification sounds are back, tts service has been put back which should correct any navigation fc's, Revolted kernel is included. Also the same hotspot hack files are included in this that I used in the ERA EC05 ROM, so everything should be good to go there.
As always, let us know what you find! Download Link Below!
HUGE, HUGE thanks to pvtjoker42. He has been instrumental in getting this release out as apparently my internet service provider forgot the "provider" part and I've had no way to upload this. Also his persistence and reliability in testing this ROM have been invaluable. Find him and thank him.
This is EC05 based
The lockscreen mod is NOT built into this ROM. A tough decision to make considering it is one of my very favorite mods, but in the end it detracted from the AOSP feel of the ROM.
After to speaking with TheDub who was kind enough to let me update his ROM, he has suggested not including other themes with the Simply Settings app. While there are many great themes out there, I have chosen to respect his wishes.
You will find the standard Froyo, Touchwiz, and Gingerbread themes included.
This ROM is small; about 117 MB actually. That was one of my goals because if you're anything like me I download a LOT of ROMs directly to my phone. That being said, there aren't a lot of apps included in there. Please make sure you have good, recent backups of anything you may want.
With all of that being said, please download and enjoy! I will be checking this thread OFTEN so please come back and let me know what you think. We have done a lot of testing with this and haven't found any ROM-related problems (personal note, don't try and load 137 apps all at once. It slows things down. Yep, that was me...)
Please let me know if you have run into anything and I will try my best to help you.

This is based off of Froyo. I try and leave all of the leaks to ksmullins and I kinda fool with all of our EC05 Roms. Until GB drops, that is, and I'm out of a job!
The hotspot and volume hacks are included but the lockscreen isn't. In order to add it (and I haven't tested this theory) I would think it best to use an AIO Mod rather than just the lockscreen mod as they seem to modify some of the same files and I'm not sure if everything would be functional afterwards.
Also, JohnCorleone and a couple of others had tested with various EC05 themes and found no problems. I would venture to say that 'most' EC05 themes should work just fine.

You have to modify the zip file with update-binary-installer to install.
So far it is slightly smoother, no idea about battery life.

I had no problems installing it as is. I can't say I can tell a big difference. It gives you alot of options, some I wasn't even sure what they were. I also noticed some of the things didn't install. Like a couple of themes that it offers never showed up in theme chooser. I'm running the latest release of AOKP btw.

I used it on aokp but I never can tell the difference. I think my battery life has slightly decreased.
I am testing it now on MIUI.
It took it some minutes, but it does feel smoother and faster.
I think battery is not improved, but i'll let it soak for a few days.
used MIUI as stock based and applied only what I understood what it does.

I flashed it on aokp and some of the tweaks seem to have worked. The tweak used to return from dialer and shorten the black screen when closing apps worked at first. Now it seems like it reverted itself. Or I restored a nandroid prior to when I installed this.
In using it on RemICS, seems to be working fine. Battery life on my 2800 is around the same I get on GB. But I'm also using jefe kod kernel

... I also noticed some of the things didn't install. Like a couple of themes that it offers never showed up in theme chooser. I'm running the latest release of AOKP btw.

Just extract the archive and pull the .apk files from \aroma\themes\cm9
As I mentioned in the SGH-T959W LB6 modem thread, I get insane battery life having that modem with Pimp My ROM tweaks on both MIUI & AOKP.

You mentioned that you only applied the tweaks that you understood. Would you mind sharing the tweaks you applied (or if easier, the ones you left out) so others can see if they get the same results? So far my results have been mixed.
Thanks.
Yep. I applied everything except for kernel tweaks and memory tweaks. I set multitasking as mid and sdcard cache as 128 mb. Used AOSP based for AOKP and stock based for MIUI.
Wiped cache, dalvik and batt stats.
After doing so, I left the device uncharged with wifi on through the night, to make it get used to it.
Let it work through the day.
After next charge you will feel the difference.

on AOKP camera tweaks cause image to be rotated or blocked in camera. You can remove it from build.prop if it happens.
