[Q] Only primary gmail calendar loads on my phone - General Questions and Answers

Samsung Vibrant running Nero v4.1
Beginning today calendar syncing with google is not working. When I go to Settings\Calendars only "My Calendar" and my primary google calendar are shown, although I have 5 other calendars that were working last night.
When I try to sync with google calendar, the sync icon just keeps spinning and spinning and never completes.
I also have a Windows 7 desktop gadget that I use to display my google calendars; it too is now only able to load the primary calendar.
Any ideas??

Calendar Sync

So I am a bit confused about Calendar syncing in WP7, and I keep getting different answers.
I am strongly thinking about getting a WP7 phone.
However the most important feature to me is my calendar. I use my calendar for my personal, and business use and rely on it heavily.
My calendar at home syncs with my google calendar, and my calendar at work syncs with my google calendar, which right now syncs with my phone. Basically any change I make on my calendar on any of my devices changes them over all of my calendars.
I also have my calendar syncing with my family's google calendar, and my wifes family's google calendar.
If your in google calendar and you see "My Calendar" all of my sections are broken down (work, home, church, etc). They are all in my calendar. Nothing is is "Other Calendar"
Will i be able to see and sync all of those events and change them etc from a WP7 phone?
I know only your Primary calendar syncs, but is that everything listed under my calendar, or is it just "work" for example?
Thank you
Regardless of how many calendars you have in Google Calendar, you only have 1 primary calendar. This is usually the one named 'Calendar'. Only this one calendar can sync to your Windows Phone due to Google actively blocking Windows Phone 7 devices.
Each one of those entries under My Calendar is a separate calendar, Google just shows them in a single Calendar view for your convenience. You still only have 1 primary calendar, and that's the only one that will sync at the moment.
Once Mango comes out, there is a trick you can do to activate multiple calendars to be sync'd to your device.
So it looks like i need to wait for mango to be released before I do anything about getting a WP7 phone. Thank you for the information.

[Q] calendar sync nightmare

Dears;
I need your help and direction to solve this calendar sync nightmare I am experiencing.
main objective:
sync outlook2007 calendar (on business computer) to my google calendar so that I can have my work appointmnets always available on line and in my android ( galaxy s3 android 4.1.2) phone which syncs with google calendar
issue:
:crying: Google sync (which would have sync outlook 2007 with google calendar) is not supported by Google anymore, and even installing some .exe available in the internet is not giving any good result..for some reasons software is not working well anymore and some appointments are simply skipped..
Samsung Kies allows me to sync outlook calendar (clumsy but works) with the internal android "my calendar" ..which being the internal calendar do NOT sync with google calendar..
Any solution?
Thanks for help!

[Q] Google Calendar Problem

Hi everybody!
I have got a problem with syncing my google calendar. Out of a sudden it will not sync appointments / events on all of my android devices.
On HTC there are only the birthdays visible and nothing else and on my tablet (JB Cyanogen Mod 4.2.2), there are only the calendar weeks and mondays visible. Same thing on another android device.
When I sync, the syncing process works without an error.
When I go to my desktop PC, I can see all apointments in google calendar.
What is going on?
Hi!
Did you select the calendars you wanna show in Android? There is a option to change this..
You can try use Bussines Calendar.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=netgenius.bizcal
I have the paid version, is a great app to manage the calendar.
Have a try in this app!

[Q] Calendar Sync Error, not the usual one.

When I sync my google account it says sync error with the red symbol,BUT it does in fact sync everything and I have all my contacts and apps and stuff.
All of the sync arrow cycles seems to go through, next to the check boxes, they're all fine EXCEPT, there is no option for "Sync Google Calendar" ... This is where my issue differs from ones I've seen.
YES I've tried removing and re-adding account, Re-installing Google Calendar AND making a new account and syncing that, new accounts made ALSO don't show "Sync Google Calendar".
With the chrome webapp for Google Calendar it does infact sync everything and that works through Chrome in that tiny interface. I also have all my desktop chrome bookmarks via the 2 step verification in chrome.
So my only issues are, the red error for Sync Google account and nothing showing for Google Calendar app.
When I click "Calendars to Sync" it just stays blank and loads forever, and I KNOW I have Calendars to sync since they DO show up on the webapp.
Error says:
"Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly"
Please Help.

Calendar events not showing - only birthdays

I have my Google account syncing just fine on the phone, but when I go to Calendar app to view what my agenda shows for the day, nothing shows except the birthdays.
I have tried adding the account again but zmesssge says "Account already installed."
I've looked in the app to see what calendars get shown and all I see is the phones contacts.
How do I get my Google calendar appointments to show up and not just birthdays.
Thanks very much.
PS - I'm not having syncing problems like other users have posted, it's just that nothing shows up, only birthdays.
Are you using Google calendar app or default Huawei...?
I'm using Google Calendar but it doesn't show up as one of the calendars listed even though the account is installed on the phone.
I've always used my Google calendar as my default on my phone without installing any extra app as the entries normally just sync via Account settings.
I know I can download and install the actual Google Calendar app but would rather just have everything sync with the default installed calendar app.
