Now...I've seen ports for almost every possible HTC device out there that are less powerfull tan omnia i8000...Why arent there any ports for omnia i8000...I tried the HTC HD2 port of Froyo with haret.exe...and i cant get it to work...maybe i'm doing something wrong or it maybe because it is a port for yet another HTC device...
Are there any at all?
It's been like a month..and i wanna ask that again..so bump...HD2 gets everything...
Well, it seems it's only you and me. Me and you hope this device able to run Froyo at least. Any other? I think it's difficult pherahaps because drivers for i.e. Galaxy S hardware aren't good for i8000 hardware. Pherhaps (but I don't know really) HTC deserves less differences between its devices. I can say only I am very very sad.
I already got Galaxy Tab, but it's so painful to see i8000 at the terminus.
Android 2.1 on Omnia 2 progress
Hey guys, don't miss me out...I'm an Omnia i8000 user too...i heard that the development of Android 2.1 on our Omnia are still under going...so probably more patience in order to get a functional Android on our phone. (It won't be long I think as currently they already received news back from Samsung.)
By the way, below is some link which shows the progress of Android development.(No fake videos and links, all are uploaded from the members of Omnia2droid).
Seriously, just check 'em out and you will know that our Omnia 2 are still not dead yet and somebody out there are currently putting their effort in porting Android to Omnia i8000.
But for the Android Froyo, I think the one that they currently developing is Android 2.1 Eclair, but they claimed that they will port to Android Froyo as soon as the Android 2.1 was fully working on our Omnia 2.

FOR ANDROID ON i8000, CHECK THIS OUT.
Now that nearly all 3.0 not native tablets have received an unofficial hoenycomb port, I think it would be fantastic if we make an effort to port honeycomb also to AC100. Yeah I know there aren't official google sources... But all who ported honeycomb to 2.2 native devices didn't use sources. So we can also do the same. Regarding kernel here is a useful resource: http://gitorious.org/ac100
I continue to think that for all who love android a 3.0 port would be a loved addition!
If anyone able to port honeycomb wants to join me in porting honeycomb to ac100, is welcome. I am not very expert doing these things, but I will be enthusiast to learn!
Waiting for anwers.
I would like to see Android 3.0 on the AC100 too. I'm sorry I cant realy help on this, but to port Honeycomb will not be trivial. I think. I have seen the problems to port Linix/Ubuntu for AC100 and the main problem should be the missing of the Toshiba sources.
There is a rom in the works at tabletroms dot com!!! not fully functional yet
hey forum , just wondering if theres a version of honey comb for pc like how 1.6 was implemented for pc awhile ago thanks for the help guys
I imagine this one is specifically tailored only for ARM processors, so... probably not.
i've wondering if it's possible to make an Android ROM based on Honeycomb for Tablet have it running on a nokia n800? what do i need? if this is possible, nitdroid project has not been active for the n800 port, i have seen some video showing n800s running eclair or even froyo, but this people doesnt responde at all, nitdroid says the n800 port has been stopped and instead n900 port is in the making, i wanna give a try for myself if something can give me some guidance i would appreciate it so much
Thanks so much in advance
BTW
I managed to install nitdroid on my n800,. but we are talking about donut, and is kinda slow , dont have sound at all, and the main objective is to ditch maemo and to have android as primary OS in the tablet, before getting enough money to buy a MMP powered with android, like the samsung galaxy player 50 or some other android device equally small like the n800
Thanks again guys for any help
Does anyone know how far they are with BBM for optimus 3D
Well I heard that they are on the final stages of development but im not 100% sure on this.
