I know about '3g watchdog' - which monitors data usage.
but I need an app which monitor time used. Here (thailand) I can buy hours of data usage time, and not by data usage data size.
any1 know an app which does this? I use juicedefender to auto turn off/on data usage, but need an app which sums upp the time for when edge/3g has been on.

the 2gb limit it easy to stay under. most roms have an option to turn off the cell data stream. use wifi as often as possible.

Go into Settings>Wireless and Networks and uncheck "Mobile Network". That will turn off data. You can get widgets that will turn it off more easily. I usually keep it off unless I need to use it. I don't need syncing all the time. Also uncheck Stocks, Weather, News, etc.(whichever you don't want) under Settings>Accounts and Sync.
i got the grandfathered unlimited plan, i've only gone over 1gig if i tethered up.
also, on our iphones with 2gig, its been steady, at first it was towards 2gig but then it went down.
i found if you use alot of streaming apps like pandora and such, u can go thru the data quickly
Download an app such as 3G Watchdog from the market. It will allow you to enter your monthly limit and your bill cycle. It tracks your usage on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and even tells you how much you're on pace to use. It's free in the Market.
Anyone know of an app that can tell me what other apps are using regarding net data?

Just a general tip (not help with your request though) -
Leave your data connection turned off. Only turn it on when you actually want to use something.
Saves a massive amount of battery, and you will not have the worry of something eating your data allowance when you least expect it.
I also use net sentry. It is a basic 3g/wifi usage that does that and nothing but that. No extra useless features on it. Dont think it tracks individual apps though.

I like the data saver mode on chrome - however, is there a way to make it disable it, while I'm connected to a WiFi? I only need it for my mobile data because of my low data cap.
Can someone explain me why Android OS uses so much data? I have most of my apps disabled and I also turned off background data usage for most of the apps. But data usage on 4g is 20 times more than on Wi-Fi. How to fix it?

I need an app to monitor real time traffic data (dl/ul) PER APP.
Apps like internet speed meter display traffic data in total not per app.
There are other apps that can display data usage per app but not real time....
Where can i find that app to be like network log and do this job?
