I currently have Seido Innocase 2 and I just put on a clarviue screen protector. The case lifts up screen protector, are there any good screen protectors + the case that doesnt do this?
Thanks
Best case at www.case-mate.com. I use the tough case and it's on sale last time I checked.
For screen, l use the anti glare screen protector from www.boxwave.com
I heard that the tough cases attract dust like crazy though..
Also black & black out of stock
Case-mate Barely there + Clarivue Screen protector here. I don't use the case all the time, but when I do - no problems with the screen protector.

I have the innocase 2 for my nexus one. With any screen protector that you use with the innocase 2 you are going to run into problems. I have tried a few different screen protectors from different manufacturers and i always run into the same problem, the case ends up lifting up the screen protector or if i do end up getting the case on without the screen protector lifting up, a bubble will form at one of the edges. the innocase 2 is such a tight fit, it's just a problem with the screen protectors.
i do like my innocase 2 and from all the marks it has, it has protected my nexus well for which my nexus has not one scratch and looks brand new. i have just learned to deal with the problem of the innocase 2 and screen protector.

i have one and i've been using it for a week, don't have a dust problem...and what i did to get black and black; order the shell and the silicone separately...they ship at the same time and it still comes in one box with a free screen protector

The black n black combo- i.e black toughcase set is out of stock but u can buy the hard cover and gel cover both in black separately and it costs the same as the case itself- i jus ordered mine a few days back but since i'm not in US i've to wait for 3-4 weeks
eagerly waiting tho!
I've had a Tough Case since May and it's not a dust magnet.
I recently got a case from Incipio for my Nexus One and I love it. It fits perfectly and it feels very durable. The case itself is made of two parts - a silicone "glove" that goes on first, and a plastic one that goes on the outside. It feels very sturdy and hardy.
I'm also using a Clarivue screen protector (anti-glare one), and the case doesn't disturb it at all.
I can't post a link since I'm a newbie (I love the case so much that I'm coming out from under my rock and making this reply ), but you can search for "Incipio Google Nexus One SILICRYLIC Hard Shell Case with Silicone Core."
Hope this helps!

only slightly with mine. just a little "lifting" / bubble on the lower left edge of my screen protector. it's a great case though.
Any picture? Is that only if the SP is perfect size an covers every inch of the screen or it doesnt matter if the SP is a couple mm off the sides it still happens?

i have the seidio innocase ii that i purchased off Amazon last month. it definitely interferes with the screen protector as it's not flush with the screen edge and overlaps it by ~1mm. my BSE screen protector subsequently was stretched and scratched along the sides. following the advice from some posts on various forums, i sanded down the case's edges. now the case edge no longer rides along the screen edge. i have some bulk 3M laminate, which will be cut down, being shipped to replace my current BSE screen protector. also, in regards to any full body laminate "shields'/skins, it will definitely be a very tight squeeze w/ this Seidio case; i've had to remove mine except for the screen and the area by the trackball.

So if i purchase the innocase II how would i go about sanding it?, Just get some sand paper an rub against the edges? Till i see it not interfering or what?

Bought my Innocase 2 on ebay.
My screen protector from Clarivue online.
Allow the screen protector to settle for a day and then put in the Innocase.
No bubbles on mine whatsoever. Also considering I've taken the case off for like 30plus times already probably.
Does anybody know if Seidio makes cases to go over their extended batteries? I do not see one (yet) for the Nexus, but they have a banner saying to look for new and exciting accessories.

But does it interfere with the SP, does it mess it up?
Anybody???
i've attached some photos of my phone and case. sorry for the poor photos as i tried to take it in macro mode w/o flash and i have no tripod. also, bear in mind that these are pictures after i had sanded the case edge.
the first pic is with the case on. i tried to highlight how the edge of case meets the screen edge. the second and third, with the case off, exhibit the Best Skin Ever screen protector and how it was affected by the case. when i put on the Seidio case initially the, ridge/rail on the case (seen in the fourth photo), scratched the protector and caused it to peel.
keep in mind, i also had a laminate on the battery cover at that point so it was a bit of a tight squeeze as the case is designed to fit the N1 very well. however, even after removing the skin from the battery cover, putting the case on/off still caused the screen protector to peel. if you're only installing the case once and don't intend to remove it frequently, i guess you this issue may not bother you. however, i wanted to remove my case (or at least slide it open) every night to charge w/ the N1 dock.
i subsequently sanded the edge of the case (4th pic). i sanded the side and posterior aspects with some sand paper. now, sliding the case on/off does not affect the screen protector and i have some new laminate being shipped to replace the current one (although it works fine).
i hope that helps!
thanks man i really appreciated.

Is not about the bubbles its about the edges of the screen protector on the sides people are saying the sides of the case ride up on the SP an mess it up as pictured above

I have this SPIGEN SGP Galaxy S4 Screen Protector GLAS.tR SLIM Premium Tempered Glass from 10th of September 2013 on my phone.
I loved it until about a month ago for no apparent reason it started developing this bubble under the glass in the top right corner (see pictures).
I didn't drop the phone nor tried to lift the screen protector since I put it on. At first it was smaller but it keeps getting bigger little by little.
I tried squeezing on it, to get it to stick back or push out air bubble with significant force to no avail. I take good care of my gadgets keep them in cases and clean so they look like new, so this thing annoys me a lot
Anyone knows why this would happen?
That's just what happens with glass screen protectors sometimes. My iloome did it for my iPhone 5 and now my S4 as well. My friends bought Chinese glass screen protectors and it did it for them on their S4. My seidio vitreo did it on my iPad 3. Though my iloome on my iPod is fine, and it's been there for a while. And my mime protector on my iPad mini is fine for now. So it's really hit and miss in my opinion. Hear the thin ones (spigen nano, iloome flex, mime feather) have a slimmer chance of this happening though.

It happens when force is applied to the edge of the phone/screen protector.
I found that it doesn't take much to cause the glass sp to lift up.
In my particular case, the lip of my case would apply just enough to lift top left corner of my glass sp.

It's a shame I really like this glass screen protector but now it looks ugly, I guess next time I'll go for slimmer version.
But still something had to cause this because it was OK for four months. And as I said I take care of my phone, never dropped it sat on it etc.
So it's bit strange why it would do that.

All the time I used Spigen Neo Hybrid case on my phone so it's designed by the same company and doesn't touch the glass.
I just recently purchase Case Mate barely there case that you see in the pictures which doesn't touch the glass either.
This has happened to me with every tempered glass product I've used from Spigen. And it happened relatively soon too; within the first few days of use. I can't see it being an issue with my screen being improperly prepared either, as I am very meticulous when it comes to screen protectors.
I absolutely love their cases and plastic screen protectors but I can no longer justify spending $30+ on their tempered glass.
Decided to go with Iloome Flex and I have been having much better luck so far. Over 60 days use and still no issues.
Here's a couple pictures of the Iloome Flex just for comparison http://i.imgur.com/LvG0JMr.jpg
Just wondered what the best way is to clean these without ruining the oleophobic coating? Thanks

Good day! the defender comes with its own screen protector but is not an anti glare one, and out on a sunny day the screen is just not visible, will i have problems if i install one inside the case? will it still be an antiglare screen even if there is another screen protector over it? i dont want to remove the builtin one just so that everybody knows.

The only thing I see happening is that it would make it weird to look at since the screen protector in front is still not anti-glare. You might get the effect you want by buying a cheap anti-glare protector and installing it on the Otterbox's existing protector.
thanks for the reply! but do you mean to install the antiglare protector ON the otterbox screen protector itself? it kind of makes sense though.
I always punch the Otterbox plastic screen protector out of the case (camera side too if it has one). Seems silly to put a cheap piece of plastic over a nice screen. Then you can add the film, over the screen, which does look better than the Otterbox plastic.
I'm a huge fan of the Otterbox Defender series except for the built in screen protector. Can't stand it. Ripped mine out and have found that I can put the defender case on on top of the Zagg Glass ( my personal favorite screen protector ) , and had zero issues, even dropped it several times with no problems.
The new s5 defender case has enough problems snapping together without a screen protector on it its a very tight fit however the silicon on this one really holds the show together. If you do intend to to fit one as someone said removing the built in one might have to be the way to go as i seriously don't think you would be able to clip the shells together.

Did this with my s4. The plastic will tend to adhere to the sticky screen protector making it look like water In between. A lot of lifeproof cases do this too. I heard baby powder wiped on and off the back of the Otterbox plastic screen would help cure that. Popping out the built in screen protector works better In my opinion. You still protect the screen from scratches and almost as much from falls.

Folks
Recently I bought the UAG Maverick Case for my Note 4, and it's stunning beauty made like to resist any space impact with a style.
The screen protector film came with it is indeed offers decent protection, but it's terribly one fingerprint/smudge magnet. My hands do sweat at times and indeed gets oily often. So y'all can imagine how awkward using a beast.
Also the touch feel has been horribly ruined with the protection film, The feel of Spigen premium series is entirely different from this.
Many of the Note 4 users has said, Tempered Glass offers tough protection without taking down much the actual glass feel of the touch screen. So pals, Please do suggest me the best tempered glass solutions which covers a bit out of the display area (black screen) with the UAG Case on.
No Halo effects, Fingerprints and smudge shouldn't be attracted and must be wiped like in actual screen.
Thanks

I have a UAG case with a Moshi iVisor edge-to-edge protector on. Application was easy and there is no halo. It fits fine with the UAG case. However, please note that I have not tried taking the case off, and I have only been using this setup for just over a week. Others have reported that the iVisor can get dust under it through time, as it only has adhesive round the edges and not under the glass. As yet, I have not experienced this. An alternative might be the Momax or the Tough Armour as I believe these do have adhesive under the glass as well as the edges. I purchased a Momax too, but have not tried it as the iVisor is perfect at the moment. (Note that the first Momax had the capacitive buttons wrong (menu instead of recent apps), but on the one I got that has been corrected). Have a good read through the many threads on Tempered Glass protectors, as others have experimented with different brands and also use UAG cases.
I bought an arcadia full screen protector. It did not work well with UAG. Popped the glass up. I loved the look of the glass that I got rid of my 2 uag cases.

Thanks Kinsman-UK giving your view on Moshi iVisor! :good: Just can't think of getting dust/debris getting through the edges as it may result more damage than actually keeping the screen bare. I've checked the Momax website and found Glass Pro XS Screen Protector but turned down no luck to order one
I ordered my Momax from shop.brando.com - they seem to still have black and white versions available, post internationally.
Is that all?
I've gone nuts selecting over tons of brands, seriously picking up the right phone was never been this hard.
My prime needs are,
1. Compatibility with UAG Case over the phone. It must not pop of even on the small impact with the case.
2. It must sit some area more than actual screen (black area).
3. Good bonding with screen and don't let any dust/debris let through the groves or edges of the protector.
Somewhere landed between some premium and well known brands, viz
iloome, Moshi, MOMAX, intelliARMOR
I don't know about other people's experience but I have dropped my Note 4 three times in the past week (I know! Unbelievable, never dropped my old phone once, and then I get a new one and...) - anyway, the Moshi was not affected by the drops and is still firmly attached. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, and haven't had the UAG off an on yet, but it seems fine. I think the Momax will probably be even better as it has adhesive all over, but I haven't tried it on yet because the Moshi is fine for the moment. The only thing I would say is that when applying the Moshi I left the phone out of the case for two days, and applied pressure all around the edges to make sure it was well adhered before putting the UAG on. This is just my experience, so just FWIW and YMMV etc etc
EDIT: Note that the Moshi does have a 'dot matrix' pattern in the glass (something to do with the way it is strengthened I think), but it is only noticeable if you look closely in direct sunlight. I only mention it because some people may see this as a problem - doesn't bother me (in fact I struggle to see it at all in normal use).

If you're happy with it, then it's totally worth! :good:
I purchased a Seidio Surface and Tech Armor clear screen protectors. The problem is that the screen protector fits nearly edge to edge. The pressure from the new double insulated surface cases causes the screen protector to bubble/lift/bunch on the edge in certain places.
I used some scissors to trim the screen protector with some success.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a screen protector that fits within the edges of Seidio Surface?
Thanks.

I have always used Seidio surfaces cases specifically because they looked good, slim, and they provided decent protection (offered a holster option).
The problem I have found after about 5 phones (Gnex (2), Moto X 2013 (2), S4 (2), and the N6) is that they actually hurt the phone. When I say hurt, they create these little scuffing marks where ever the case comes in contact with the phone. This comes from fine dust/sand and dirt that gets in between the case and phone. I had good results with my N6 as I would take the case off once a week and clean/blow the case/phone.
My Nexus 6 looks good, but not perfect after about 6 months.
I *think* Seidio is on to this effect as all the new phones have a dual TPU soft shell and hard shell. I am hopeful this fixes this issue.
Regarding the buttons, they are harder to press and not perfect. It is certainly functional and not a big issue to me. You do notice it. It doesn't bother me that much since the phone turns on by the finger sensor anyway. I really never use the power button anymore.

The Seidio case and IntelliArmor tempered glass screen protector are a near perfect match. There is just a tiny edge between the glass and the case so you don't have to worry about the case pushing on the glass protector. The glass itself is very nice, I purchased some cheaper tempered glass protectors from Ebay and you can really see the difference. They are very clear and even though they do show fingerprints and smudges, they are way less noticeable than the cheaper protectors I bought.
