[ROM][PNK] "Mighty Nutella" ~ Ugly, Slow and Buggy (bloated too) CM7 builds.
Introduction

After a lot of requests I'm opening a new thread which will contain my latest CM7 builds (you can find my older builds in this thread). I'll be updating this post so people can follow progress easier, and post their requests/observations. In the next few days I'll be updating this thread with information on how to build your own CM7 ROM. Some might consider it messy, but that's how I've been doing it for quite some time now and the result is satisfactory (for me at least).
About the ROM
Click to collapse
The rom is not pure CM7. I build it from source with the latest commits, then I apply modifications, mostly focusing on speed and smoothness. The releases are not that frequent, you'll be (normally) seeing updates every time there's a bunch of noteworthy additions/fixes by the Cyanogenmod team, or when I'm making significant modifications (even less frequently). If you want a pure CM7 build with frequent (nightly) updates you can take a look at the thread by Kali- which hosts the official nightly releases.
Edit: Here you can find the commit i'm reverting on each release, just in case anyone wants to make their own personal build. <~ Apparently, this is no longer necessary.

Mirror #1: http://zantekk.de/~desire_hd/custom_roms/cm7_phunkycow/ (kindly provided by Zantekk - thanks!)
Mirror #2: http://www.eth0.it/Android/index.php?dir=PNK/ (kindly provided by maddler - thanks!)
Warning!
Make sure you disable Music syncing @ Accounts & Sync, under the settings menu. This is due to the experimental Honeycomb Music.apk. Thanks to the people that pointed it out in the thread! The Honeycomb Music player has been removed in the recent releases.
Bundled with the latest GApps (including the new Market).
You can flash the ROM using either CWM 2.5.1.3 or CWM 3.0.0.5, it's entirely up to you. If you're coming from an older PNK release, you don't have to wipe. If you encounter any problems you might have to, though - so it's advised.
Flashing with CWM 3.0.0.5 (Download)
If by any chance you get into bootloops, download FULL-WIPE.zip from this thread, flash it, and then flash the ROM. If you're still getting bootloops follow these steps:
Go to recovery > Wipe Data > Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache > Flash FULL_WIPE.zip (which you downloaded earlier) > Flash the ROM.
Alternatively you can flash CWM 2.5.1.3 and read below.
Flashing with CWM 2.5.1.3(Download)
If you're using CWM2 to flash and you get bootloops, download FULL-WIPE.zip from this thread, flash it, and then flash the ROM. If you're still getting bootloops follow these steps:
Go to recovery > Wipe Data > Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache > Flash FULL_WIPE.zip (which you downloaded earlier) > Flash the ROM.
What's not working
- Camera Auto-Focus when shooting videos.
- Camera Touch-Focus when shooting pictures.
- Video playback 2/3 blue in portrait.

Help! When I flash this ROM and boot: the notification bar is missing / this app keeps FC'ing / I see flying turtles all over my 4.3" screen
YOU DIDN'T WIPE CORRECTLY. Please read this whole post again. And again. And again.
Especially if you're coming from a Sense ROM.
Help! USB Mass Storage isn't working!
If USB isn't working, follow this excellent guide by Walker Street.
Why does my keyboard show japanese characters?
Since the last few builds the keyboard defaults to the japanese one. Just long press in a text input field > Input Method > Select "Android Keyboard".
Quadrant doesn't show anything when running the 3D tests. What's going on?
At the moment, we're missing the Adreno 205 (DesireHD's GPU) library files for Gingerbread. When they're released the problems will be resolved, but for the time being I'm affraid you're going to have to live with it.
Why isn't WiFi working?
Just reboot your device and it'll work just fine! It happens when you flash the ROM for the first time.
Adfree isn't working! I get JavaIOExeption all the time.
You don't need Adfree. The builds comes with a preinstalled hosts file to block ads automatically. You don't need to install an additional application for this.
The Application "xyz" keeps force closing. Can you fix this?
First, make sure you wiped correctly, as stated earlier. This is really one of the most common reasons of getting a force close. If you're absolutely certain that you've wiped and clean-installed the ROM, please take a look at the market comments/description of the app that's forceclosing. Some applications have not been updated to work on Gingerbread (2.3).
How dare you remove the Sim Toolkit application? You should be ashamed of yourself!
Sorry! Some people claim it has a negative effect on battery life. If you really need it, you can find it here. Just push it to /system/app/ or copy it to your sdcard and install it using your favorite file manager.

Flash either with CWM3.x or CWM2.x.
If you're coming from a fresh install of "Irksome Jalapeño", make sure you reboot once before flashing the theme. This way you'll avoid potential bootloops.
Screenshot Information
The weather widget is "Beautiful Widgets". The widget at the bottom (wifi/bt etc) is SwitchPro.
I've bundled a zip with the icons and dock used and uploaded it here: http://postkreative.eu/themes/gingerlicious-setup.zip
The wallpaper can be found here: http://postkreative.eu/themes/Skulls_1.jpg
Unfortunately I can't recall where I found them or who created them, they're most definately not my work.

Compile your own CM7 Guide
I wont be adding a guide after all!
You can check out this excellent thread by Walker Street on how to build your own CM7 from source.
Make sure you thank him for his excellent guide.
thank you Phunkycow..I am very very interesting about this guide..I want to learn how i can modify a rom..I don't know even the basics..Now it's an opportunity for me to help in this also..
Looking forward to learning how to build from source, if you need a noob to test out anything then feel free to give me a shout. In the meantime the build is fantastic, have been using since your first release - keep em coming...

Nice to see! Could you quickly tell the changes from CM on your latest build? I mean like did you include the stock launcher instead of crappy ADW?
Installed and working great.

Usual changes in my builds:
Removed ADW, added GApps with new market, added new proprietary drivers (may increase performance and stability), added HTC_IME LatinIME with more dictionaries (by AdamG), modifications on the framework etc etc. Updated 2nd post with some of the changes.

Yep, pretty much everything as far as I'm concerned.
nice to see someone open a thread like this, support!
very nice, going to try this after i had some hours of sleep. thank you!
Hey, been using this rom all day and its nice altough had some problems with youtube app, sometimes being unresponsive and force closed but was ok after a reboot but i really really like the smoothness
Anyway my question is, is there a way to get radio s-off? i tried with the "one click radio s-off" tool but it says that incompatible kernel because i want to flash another radio.
And maybe this is a bug?, at 95% charged(still connected) the Orange LEd switched to green led even if its not fully charged.
Keep up the good job.
LE: sorry computerfreak for ninja edit , i need another radio thats why i want Radio S-off.

If you can flash ROMs you are already S-OFF.

You should better ask @ that thread, I'm sure they've got the answer. But if I was to guess..: Try flashing CM6.1.3 + Buzz kernel and try that tool again...

I have no idea about the keyboard. That's how it's compiled from source, unfortunately. About the market, can't you see protected applications? I'm sorry, I didn't understand what the problem is.

Thank you very much kblof! I don't accept donations, as this ROM is based on CyanogenMod and it's not entirely my work.
Awesome! Downloading pnk8 now!!
Does anyone have a mirror btw...download is going super slow
Also, a quick question.
I'm currently using pnk6. I use a messaging app called Kakao Talk.
The app fc's whenever i receive a new message...any ideas why this is happening?
thanks!

That's because that app isn't updated to support gingerbread (according to market comments - also crashes on nexus s).

So why another Rogers based build or updated Virtudude Rogers Rom V3 build? The reason for this rom is because I had a few friends request it and there's been several requests in Virtudude's thread.
Before flashing this rom, like most other Roger builds, this requires SPL 1.33.2005. If you want all the "auto" goodness like apps2sd, compcache, etc, please feel free to look the following builds:
Enomther's TheOfficial Rogers (dream/sapphire-32B) MOD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556933
Soulife's Roger Remix! Please check out his thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523608
These guys provided alot of support for this build directly. Thanks again!
Before swapping over to Soulife's awesome Roger's Remix, I ran VirtuDude's v3 rom for sometime. It was always stable & ran well. I don't consider myself a "developer." By day, I work as a Sun SSE, but I do run linux @ home besides Solaris, OpenSolaris, etc. All I did was compile the kernel & a lot of repacking based on others work. All the credit really goes to the all the great developers here especially Soulife, Virtudude, Haykuro, JF, Cyanogen, & enomther. If you like this rom, then please donate to them! They deserve it. Thanks for making this stuff enjoyable to learn!
Here's a quick run down. I've decided to Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) from here on out w/ this mod. Here's the deal, if you want auto apps2sd, then flash the kb7sqi-a2sd-mod.zip after you flash the rom. The stock builds does come w/ an a2sd script in bin & if you choose to have a userinit.sh script on /system/sd, it'll run it otherwise it automatically sets the platform properly, enables compache by default and sets the clock speed to 528/245 Max/Min Mhz. This makes it a win/win for all & make things simpler for me to have to explain. But please NOTE, the auto apps2sd script I've included ONLY moves apps2sd, NO DATA! It's much safer that way. It works exactly the way Soulife's Roger's Remix version does and it's been customized for this build specifically! Thanks Soulife!
This build is based off the latest Rogers HTC Dream Update 1.86.631.1 release on 08/25/2009. Thanks goes out to Charrion for risking his Dream & providing the dump! Here's the information posted on the HTC web site:
The ROM software update posted below provides several key enhancements for your HTC Dream:
-Improves the overall device functionality and stability
-Enables correct SMS timestamp
-Enables Chinese character display for POP3 HTML Emails
-Corrects E-mail client exchange Issues
V2.7.2 - New Build based off of V2.3 that includes the following:
-New Kernel based off my Magic Build that includes the new compcache-0.5.4 modules & swap_free_notify_patch. Compcache now enabled by default
-New init structure! Keep it Simple Stupid. ;-) a2d is not enabled by default, use the a2sd update previded below!
-Removed QuickOffice from build. Warez Free!
-Added HTC_CIME.apk for complete Chinese Support as requested.
-Updated the APN list and fixed the Network Search issue! I'm sure this will make many European users happy! This required reverting back to the stock libhtc_ril.so and updating the build.prop files. Now you'll notice an H most of the time when using 3g. It's ok.
-Updated both the modules.sqf & updated xbin.sqf from Magic Build.
V2.3 - I got the hint release - from the 20-40 people who really use the ROM. lol
- This build is based on V2.1 with the following changes:
- This is again a non odex release - You have 60 megs free on a wipe
- I've cleaned up the boot process again
- Chinese Support, all ringtones, wallpaper, etc are back.
- Loccy's BetterBrowser has been removed & back is the stock browser
- PID priotization has been added but as an option. See the /system/bin/userinit example script.
- Fixed the apn issue as in the V2.2 release
- If you're upgrading from V2.1 or lower no wipe required, but if you installed V2.2, I'd recommend it. Sorry.
- If you want to install a theme, use Enomther's hero v2 theme from his thread, but the Advanced Launcher will not be themed!
V2.2 - One for for the road - Fastest Build to date! ;-)
- This build is odex`ed. Please WIPE before installing. - Sorry, but you'll thank me!
-Cleaned up the boot process.
-Fixed the apn issue - reverted back to old apns-conf.xml file.
-Removed Chinese Supoort, all but required wallpaper & ringtones, & notifications. Sorry, but need the space for odex'ing!
-Fasted build to date & 82 megs free after fresh install.
-Don't install themes - It'll break the build! Sorry.
V2.1 - Nice Speed Improvement & Alternative Launcher!
-This started out as slight experiment w/ using Soulife's optimized apk's from his 3.0 build. It was a nice speed increase as well space saver! Thanks Soulife.
-added Irrenhuas/Rogro82's Advanced Launcher - Rogers Themed - fast/multiple-homescreens/auto-rotate/(5x4/6x3) app drawer/sub-folders/etc.
-added Loccy's BetterBrowser as default (simply better)
-added PID priotization from miketaylor's script (speedup phone ringtimes, music performance and media boost)
You can thank Enomther for the Roger's Themed AdvancedLauncher & the last minute PID priotization. We were trying to find away to completely replace the HTCLauncher, but adding the AdvancedLauncer is nice alternative! Thanks to both Soulife & Enomther!
- Updated to the latest lucid script
- included nano in xbin.cramfs
- updated the fixperm script to the latest v1.29
- And some other changes, I'm sure I forgot. ;-)
Here's the complete changelog:
1. The kernel has been updated to 2.6.27-00399-gc7f8bce. I took the time to setup a complete android build environment & built my own kernel. This kernel inlcudes support for tun, ipsec, ipfilter, ipv6, fuse, cifs, cramfs, ext2/3, cpu scaling,. Close to what JF's 1.51 kernel contained minus unionfs support, and I didn't apply any multi touch patches. If you'd like to see other things added, feel free to let me know. It's easy enough to re-compile the kernel. Only takes 10 min or so. The kernel update was done because of the following security alerts:
- Kernel security update fixes a critical vulnerability common to all linux kernels that are un-patched (sock_sendpage() Local Root0 exploit).
http://www.ryebrye.com/blog/2009/08/16/android-rooting-in-1-click-in-progress/
http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2009-2692
http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/36038/exploit
2. /system/frameworks is no longer using cramfs. It's extracted like most other updated Roger's builds. The reason for this is so others can easily theme it.
3. I removed sbin/busybox from the boot.img's ramdisk. Updated the init.rc in boot.img to export TERMINFO & set max/min cpu scaling 384/128 to extend battery life.
4. Included the new wlan.ko in /system/lib/modules to be compatible w/ the new kernel and added the following changes:
Google Maps updated to 3.1.2
Reomved HTC QuickOffice to 1.0.1
Updated the apn list
Included Cyanogen's Donut Dalvik VM from 3.9.1
Updated lucid script in /system/bin to the latest release - Hint this will do apps2sd if you choose to use it. That's why Virtudude included it.
Updated the build.prop to be seen as a T-Mobile G1 so MyAccount 2.0 works, and protected/paid apps work correctly again.
Added iptables to /system/bin - WiFi Tethering works great!
Added Haykuro's HTC_IME.apk.
Added HTC_CIME.apk
Added Java from Hero. Jbed.apk in /system/app & libjbedvm.so to system/lib
Re-added Stericson's tweaked Amazon apk
Re-added PCSCII.apk - Which is needed for those using HTC Sync.
Added bash to system/xbin.cramfs
Compiled/Added Compcache 0.5.4 w/ARM fix Enable by default.
Removed all the Rogers apps, & the Updater app.
I added these changes taken from Soulife's excellent Rogers Remix:
~added cyanogens sexy black terminal
~added cyanogens log collector (no more excuses for lack of logs)
~clearcache added to bin (clear Android Market, Browser, GMail, Google Maps, StreetView, Youtube cache)
~lowered boot sound in extended (so when i restart my phone at 2am i dont scare the **** out of myself)
Added rwsystem and rosystem to bin (just type rwsystem as su in terminal to mount system as read write etc..)
From Cyanogen's 3.9.9.1 release, I've added:
his terminfo in /system/etc/terminfo
his updated e2fsck, mke2fs, tune2fs, busybox, powertop & his new htop port in /system/xbin
updated toolbox, sh, su in /system/bin
From Cyanogen's 4.0.2 release, I've added:
Added the dropbear SSH server into xbin
Make sure you check out this thread for setting up the dropbear ssh server:

Why do you restart your phone at 2 am? :-D
I think a load boot sound is good so you have fear to start it in the night :-D
It is funny, but the boot sound and animation is the thing I miss using CM's ROMs.

LOL. That update came straight from Soulife's changelog btw. I believe he had changed it out in 2.9. After running this rom for over 12 hours now, I'm happy with it! It does what is designed to do...Run stable & don't automatically push apps to SD. I'd like to hear some feedback from some others who've tried it though. Still looking forward to what Soulife can do w/ the update though. Take care.

Just FYI, if didn't re-read the 1st post, I've posted a faster d/l link and some screenshots. Take care.
I've uploaded v2 of this build. Minor fixes. The first post has been updated.
Thank you, awesome. Need remove multi-touch too, it make verything confuse.

Thanks for the feedback funbacon. Because of work, my time to really work on this is limited, but I have made progress in setting up a real build environment. I'll look at re-building the kernel. I'll let you know how it goes.

Virtudude's last build was V3 & there was serveral requests for a V4. Basically that's what this build is all about. I took his V3 & updated it w/ everything listed in the first post. That was my 3rd release of the rom. The 4th release has been posted. It's work in progress. Iron'ing out all the mistakes. As stated in the first post, I don't claim to be a developer. I simply re-packaged this & learning as I go. All credit goes to the great developer's here. In saying all that, the lastest release runs well. Funbacon, the build.prop has been fixed for the last time. Sorry, I had made a couple of changes. Those are fixed now & I made sure I could d/l protected apps from the market. I currently have about 70 apps installed to sd w/ the lucid script & everything has been running great. Even took the time to test out CoPilot today and did some tethering w/ the laptop via wifi. No problems. Hope that clears things up. Take care.

Hey NexVision, too be honest, I hadn't even thought about themes yet. I was hoping some others would test it as is. The latest version V4 does run well & I was actually going to "uncramfs" /system/framework like Soulife's build so that way others could theme it. I'm been floating between a slightly modified version of this rom using the framework-res.apk from Soulife's beta theme & one of his themed HTCLauncher.apk's. It's not perfect, but I like the look of it. I'm anxious to see what Soulife can do w/ the HTC update. The other build I've been testing is one based off of 2.9.1 w/ all the CRC1 updates & Cyanogen's Dalvik VM from Donut from 3.9.1. It wouldn't work w/ 2.9.2. I threw a few other updates that I had installed the lastest V4 mod here. I've had it running the last 48 hours and it runs just as fast as the 2.9.2 release does. If you'd like to test it, let me know. While you tested the 2.9.2.extended.crc1 build did you run into any problems? Any FC's, etc? I've had 1 w/ the 2.9.1 version when running CoPilot. If I kept everything running internally w/ the Virtudude build, I haven't seen any problems, except getting low on space. lol.
Throw it up i'll test it out. Soulife is a little delayed still my doing as I still havent made it to ups tried to go twice and got diverted but lappy is in truck so as soon as I get a chance im going.
Hi kb7sqi,
first of all thank you for this rom; I installed it 2 days ago over a Virtude v3 and it seems to run faster.
I had some problem with my company email account (exchange), I had to go into manage applications, clear all the data of email application, and config my account again to let it work, but finally everithing is ok.
I made some other change for personal purpose (use the standard mms.apk, change the boot gif with HTC since I don't like T-mobile, I modified the build.prop to with EU info to have € instead of $ for market, removed the HTC_CIME, and so on).
Finally I installed the other version of HTC_IME that has signs and numbers over the letters(image1), instead of the provided one (image2)and I would like to know why you choose this second one?? Did you find any problems with the most complete one??

This is a STRICTLY AOSP Gingerbread build for the Motorola Milestone.
Most of the credits goes to the amazing guys from CyanogenMod, nadlabak, f_pasha, mtwebster, rcerqueira, koush, MDijkstra, Skrilax_CZ, cvpcs and everyone else that had the patience to help me out figuring out how to put everything together.
To get it working for you, the baseband files for your region should be applied thru OpenRecovery as usual; you can get them at Dexter’s site: http://dext3r.komodin.org/.
Default language is set to PT-BR, change at the initial screen for your likings.
If you are currently using any Froyo release, you don’t need to do anything else, just copy the update to the OpenRecovery update folder and install as usual. If you’re not using any Froyo release, you need to apply a 2.2 SBF first.
Please note that FULL WIPE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for new installations. If you're upgrading from any previous SMBR Gingerbread build, you only need to wipe caches.
CHANGELOG
Build 7:
- Updated to AOSP master branch, hundreds of bugfixes.
- Fixed some issues with wifi (props to nadlabak)
- Fixed color blending issues (mostly visible on scroll glow).
- Fixed some video recording issues, now uses h264/aac for high quality mode.
- Some changes on APN list for Brazilian carriers.
Build 6:
- More memory tuning. Now based on Google’s recommendation for low memory devices.
- Zipaligned all Google Apps
- Fixed light sensor (props to nadlabak)
- Disabled 3D drawer again (will provide as a separate patch)
- Added Nexus S wallpapers.
- Several other bugfixes that might result in crash of the phone.
Build 5:
- More memory tuning. This should fix a plethora of problems (browser downloads, market, notifications, and so on).
- Reverted to use a slightly older kernel (g4bc8ed0). Hopefully this will fix the reboots.
- 3D drawer is back due to popular demand.
- Enabled SIP over 3G networks.
- Removed some unnecessary libraries from the system (used only by Froyo).
- Fixed a couple of EGL issues. Nothing major.
Build 4:
- Skipped
Build 3:
- Fixed gps/compass (props to nadlabak)
- Fixed hires video recording (cvpcs)
- Massive memory tuning.
- JIT is disabled again -- yes, your linpack will suck, but you'll get much smoother experience overall.
- Disabled 3D drawer on Launcher2 -- too slow.
- Removed the OTA updater for now to save some memory.
Build 2:
- Fixed GMail/GReader breakage, now it works as expected.
- HSPA icon shows instead of just 3G.
- Screen off animation turned on.
- USB connected icon fixed.
- Some memory tuning done.
- Added full AOSP languages with dictionaries where available.
- Added full APN list based on CyanogenMod’s.
KNOWN BUGS
- Starting the camera using the hardware camera button unleashes hell.

How about the APAC nandroid? Or will it need to be a 2.2 sbf (latest one is the VIVO one right?)?
Bah downloading both anyway
APAC nandroid will do. Any working Froyo release works. We just need the VR and the basic 2.2 partitions.
wow.. good news , does radio/gsm work??

omg!
everytime i finish setting up and install everything someone comes out with new irresistible release...

so? how is it?
this is a great thing to start the day with..

And so it begins..! Gingerbread on Milestone!!
Just a question though: Has the problem with the GSM Radio been solved? Because if we can't make calls, the ROM is only for those who use Milestone as their secondary phone.
Yes, the radio is working.

Great job guys, will be looking for Gingerbread Development from now on!
Edgar, just another question if you have the time explaining me the following:
Although I've read the first post about Basebands, because I've never done it before, I don't know how to do it..
What should I do through OpenRecovery to have a working phone in Europe (Greece)?
Thank you for your time.
Any reviews? Problems? I wanna know what are the bugs before I flash this.

Its exactly the same steps as to install the ROM, you just need to put the update zip at OpenRecovery update folder and apply it.
For Greece, the correct baseband is this one:

This is somehow the continuation of giant_rider's GBRider_Cronos. It's a port of the HTC Hero ROM Cronos Ginger X from Cronos Project Team.
Credits:
- Feeyo and Cronos Team for the ROM development. You can find his work and donate if you feel like it in this forum. I think you should. ;
- carz12 for Kernel 2.6.34.4;
- giant_rider for the work he has done so far and for the ROM that i used as a base in order to see what i needed to change to make the ROM work;
- dsixda for his script used during all the porting process.
You'll need Radio 6.35.16.19 or 6.35.10.18 and SPL 1.76.2007 to properly run this ROM.
Latest Radio, SPL and Recoveries:
Radio - 6.35.16.19
SPL - 1.76.2007
Recovery - recovery-RA-magic+-v2.0.0.1-seo or recovery-RA-magic+-v2.2.1 or carz-clockworkmod-4.0.0.2-recovery
To change Radio/SPL/Recovery use the procedure described in this thread
How to Install the ROM:
- Fully charge your battery to properly calibrate it;
- Boot to recovery and do these steps:
Do a Nandroid Backup
Wipe all except battery stats
Flash the ROM
Reboot to system
- Reboot to recovery and Flash Gapps:
Gapps Light (It has only market and some other essential apps. After you enter the system you can choose which apps you want to install)
or
Gapps Full (It has all Google Apps) (It's indicated to those that don't have a WiFi connecting and no Data Plan)
- Reboot to system
The Kernel is OverClocked to 710Mhz. The CPU is set to max 614Mhz by default and min 352Mhz. If you change the minimum frequency to a value below 352Mhz, the phone will have unlock delay or even DIS (Death In Sleap). You can change the CPU setting in "Settings » CPU Settings".
Bugs:
- Airplane mode drains all the battery (kernel related)
- Sometimes buttons backlight stops working (Hero ROM related)
Updates notes in the 2nd post.
I choose not to follow the version numeration that giant was using because i might release some updates between feeyo's releases. But despite this, i'll always indicate the update used as a base to each release.
Notes:
I'm not a programmer and i have very little knowledge in this area. All i know is based on tutorials, Google searches and from the work done in other ROM's. I'm very curious and this ROM is somehow a result of that. So if you find any bug that is not related to Hero's ROM just tell me and i will see what i can do about it.
I'm not responsible to any damage that you might do to your phone. To avoid some undesired results always backup. It doesn't take much time.

Thanks.
The only bugs that i'm aware of are buttons backlight that randomly work/doesn't work, power widget, airplane mode drain (kernel related). And there's nothing i can do about it. I will add a list if you guys really want it. About the benchmarks i will not add any because they are most of the times inaccurate and some ROM's have some tricks that can boost the result in the benchmark test but the actual performance of the ROM is the same as in other ROM's. The best test you can do is flash all the ROM's and see for your self.

I don't have any problem with this ROM. I usually had some random reboot with CM7, but with this one i didn't have any so far. And i've been using the phone like mad lately. Btw, i don't use Opera Mini. In what circumstances the phone crashes?
ex. if i will go to widgets - restart, if i have several apps opened - restart to bootanimation. I have this problem on My Kasier with 128 ram
Newest CM 7.1 android 2.3.5 is faster, more stable and have mord options, ex. default app storage

Anyone else that helped (or I borrowed a feature or a fix from)
A massive, massive thanks to Albinoman and Bruce for their work on bringing the Pyramid to JB and Team-Hydra for supporting it.
Arco also deserves a line -he fixed the video glitches/tearing along with so many other fixes.
No disrespect if your name is not on here and it should be. Let me know and I'll be sure to add it.

Bugs:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Halo lag
- DSP Manager (process randomly dies)
- Video autofocus (normal picture taking mode works fine)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To do:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- libwvm.so
- Port over CAF MSM kernel to build for Sensation.
- Fix video auto-focus
- Fix DSP Manager
- Add option to choose between Slim customisation (lockscreen handle and wallpaper)
- Refactor a few things
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FAQ:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last App/Button mapping doesn't work:
- Settings > Interface > Hardware Keys > (Select your button) > Screen Off
- Reboot.
- Settings > Interface > Hardware Keys > (Select your button) > Last App/Your button map
My phone is getting hot!:
- Flash another kernel. (Sultan recommended)
- OC to 1.5GHz if not done so already.
- Make sure min CPU freq is above 384MHz.
- The phone will get hot while charging.
Help! My phone reboots when I turn on 'USB Storage':
This is caused by an application running on the SDCard. The phone can not kill the application so reboots, and this in turns allows you to turn on USB Storage.
A simple fix is to move all applications to internal storage.
- Go into Settings > Apps > Slide to 'ON SD CARD'
- Click on the applications with a checkbox.
- Move to Phone.
- Rinse and repeat for each application on the SD Card.
Facebook or an application is acting up:
Halo does cause issues with some applications. Try closing Halo and closing all applications through the 'Recent Apps' menu.
I can't install an APK, I can't click the install button:
Again, close Halo temporarily and try again.
Changelog:
14 June 13:
- Added more audio related libs
- Replaced SlimFileManager with CyanogenMod's File Manager
- Integrated Halo
- Fixed Halo Settings
- Moved Halo Settings under Interface
- Added Halo App
- Fixed a few bugs
- Upstream Changes
11/12 June 13:
- Corrected a glitch with DSP Manager.
- Added in missing audio resampler libs.
- Added in misc audio libs.
- Fixed OpenPDroid. Should be as stable as non-OpenPDroid builds.
- Upstream to build 6.2
- Various optimisations and bug-fixes.
- Added QWERTY character map.
- Video auto focus still not fixed (sorry!)
- Fixed sOuterContext logcat spam on OpenPDroid build by nulling the variable so it can be reused (Not very clever but it worked).
02 June 13:
- Open music player on headset connect now resides in Settings > Interface > Sound
- Default Wallpaper changed (it seemed cool when looking at it full size, now not so much)
- Added APNs (Spiderio)
- Optimized a few things (forgot what I changed exactly)
- Kernel changes from Albinoman (see his CM10.1 thread)
- KCM reverted, will switch a QWERTY keyboard later
- WiFi region seems to work after reboot (for me at least)
- Under Volt init.d script removed.
- Removed any swap clearing init.d scripts.
- Fixed crons again.
- All Slim changes included, latest build is 6.
21 May 13:
- Clean source.
- Launcher freezes fixed.
- Default wallpaper changed.
- Audio routing properly fixed. Headset now works on boot/reboot. ( Thanks CyanogenMod -beat me to it, by five minutes  )
- Fast-charge compiled but turned off.
- Fixed SU problems.
- Found SDCard 'USB Storage' soft reboots problem. FAQ for solution.
- Added all previous fixes, minus ASEC fix.
- KCM (keyboard character map) is now fixed. Using type FULL instead of type QWERTY.
- OpenPDroid build has the same changelog (as it's rebased) but with all OpenPDroid things.
OpenPDroid build being released later.
10 May 13:
(Build will be uploaded after I've compiled and tested them!)
OpenPDroid:
- OpenGL errors corrected.
- Latest kernel from Albinoman. S2W and fast-charge enabled.
- Clean source. No fixes other than wired-headset fix and OpenGL fix.
- All build.prop tweaks from ROM w/o OpenPDroid included.
- Other fixes will be added, this is more or less a test.
Without OpenPDroid:
- Fresh source.
- Reapplied all (almost all) fixes.
- Added init.d script to calibrate proximity sensor on boot.
- S2W enabled.
- Fixed 01slim init.d script. Now runs and zip aligns/fixes permission on boot.
- Added ASEC script to run on boot (as init.d script).
- Several other fixes (too lazy to list them today).
- Updated Apex to version 2.0.0
3 May 13:
- Updated to Build 5.
- Smart Capture, Audio Triggers and several resolutions added to Camera application.
- Removed a lib that was causing issues.
2 May 13:
- Added init.d script to clean swap every hour/day or week.
Edit /sdcard/cron/cron.conf to change which swaps you have. By default all three are enabled.
- Corrected dirty fix for "voip_flag=" spam.
- Updated to latest source. (Video fix included, thanks Arco!)
- Fast Charge and Sweep2Wake are not complied with the kernel. This is to ensure proximity sensor works and extend battery life (fast charge causes problems with charge level as far as I know).
- Used S2W fix from Albinoman's/Team-Hydra's Phone Application.
- Several build.prop tweaks (they'll be tested before I push the real build)
- Compile missing libs (some libs are just plain missing).
- Working to fix libc error.
- Developer options enabled by default.
- Fixed Audio (again!)
29 April 13:
- Init.d scripts are working, you can now install Turbo Boost!
- Dirty fix for the "voip_flag=" logcat spam whenever you do something audio related.
- Cleaned and updated source. Yet to upload.
- Removed SlimIRC
- Search(Assistant) Key is now mappable too.
- Changed lockscreen handle from the Slim symbol to stock android. (It looks better)
27 April 13:
- Replaced Music with Apollo.
- Replaced MusicFX with DSPManager
- Using latest Kernel from Team-Hydra (Visit Albinoman's CM10 ROM thread for more details)
- Cleaned up source.
- Updated source.
- Will remove SlimIRC on next build.
- Will update hardware keys to enable mapping for search button.
25 April 13:
- Corrected headset problem
- Updated to latest SlimBean.
- Fixed EGL errors by using CyanogenMod framework libs.
- Camera fixed by fixing EGL errors.
- Added SlimBean bootanimation.
- Uploaded source.
- Used Albinoman's latest kernel, more info in his CM thread.
22 April 13:
-Initial release. Expect problems, but do report them eh?
-Corrected LCD Density.

The tweaks are listed on their site, if I tweak anything myself I'll let you know... (Link in post #1)
I'll just list the apps left without GApps, or you can check the last screenshot. Whichever works.

I haven't added any myself, so all tweaks are Slim tweaks or CM tweaks (since they seem to be similar). This is just a first compile to see what works, what doesn't and what needs to be fixed first.
Possibly the first big bug has to be the missing Camera... opps.

Going by other CM10 ROMs, it may not be. As I don't have an MHL cable; if you're willing to test it out for me I would really appreciate it!
Great job on the build.
Zero problems to report. All extra interface options are all working.Having used the official S3 ROM, I have to say that this is just as good.
I've attached a few extra screenshots to help wet the appetites.-(The Dark/Stock theme switch is a winner).
Thanks to the OP for the share.
Regards
eagerly looking forward to working camera... great rom overall...
Will try this when I'm home. I like 4.2.2 and love Slim. Thanks man.

No problem. This is experimental though!
Logcats and dmesgs please!
I'm working on fixing things but need sleep right now... and pop tarts. If you guys find more bugs or errors let me know.
Seems like Camera libs are broken. Camera app is installed yet doesnot appear in drawer.
I tried the camera from 16:9 mod thread, and same problem there too.
Otherwise, the ROM's pretty smooth and love the dark theme. Some tweaks available on interface menu are pretty cool. Thanks alot.
I was about to release my SlimBeam, but I think I will help to fix this one...

If i was you i would ask albinoman or bruce for help getting the camera fixed on this one...pretty sure they can help you out, anyways im glad to see you delivering such a great ROM to the sensation as I'm running it right now on my replacement Samsung Galaxy S2 and its smooth as butter:good: good luck!
Sweep2wake isn't working, which isn't too big if a deal to me, but headphone playback isn't working (from my limited testing on YouTube and the music player)
Slim bean has been my favorite rom since the 4.2.2 version was released and I will be switching back once headphone playback is fixed, but for now back to cm10.1.
Fantastic first build keep up the good work.
