Well, you can try this app called SUFBS, it really cool it has a file manager and terminal, AND it has the option to mount system as read-write or only read. So try that it might work...

This is sweet
I read that people who are using the new market are having issues with downloads, just thought I let you guys know.
Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
I used root explorer to copy the apk to system app, rebooted and installed. Worked good that way for me.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
I got it installed. it comes up fine/searches. When I try to access "My Apps" or download anything it force closes. I rebooted a couple times and fixed permissions in Rom Manager. Can't get it to not force close at all.

That's what I tried to warn you guys about. People have had issues downloading from the new market. Just wait two weeks and it will officially be out.

That's only for 2.2 ROMS right?
Reflashing gapps gets everything working again. Looks awesome though

lg optimus one
either /data/app
/system/app
or if you use Froyos "move application to sd" it would end up in the .android_secure folder on your sdcard. If that's the case you'd have to move them back in Settings->Applications
I am using optimus one.Stock rom. Not rooted and having app2sd.

Yea I would tell you why if the forum search was working. You need to make a flashable zip for this to work. Don't remember the reasoning behind it. A zip was posted in one of the cyanogen threads if I recall correctly. Once search is back up I suggest searching for 'adfree' and clicking the "show posts" radio button.

How are you installing busybox? If you haven't already tried this way, install titanium backup, then open titanium and click the "problems" button on the bottom. That will give you the option to install a working version of busybox.
Sent from my cm6.1 Aria using XDA App
Just go clockworkmod and push hosts file to /system/etc via ADB.
P.S. don't forget mount system first.

Boot Scripts?

Is there anyway to run a script automatically at boot on the mes?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
What type of scripts are you wanting to run at boot.
Tap-a-Talked
A mount script I want to mount a second partition on the SD card I already have the script and it will mount the partition I just can't figure out how to get it to run automatically at boot.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Ah. Honestly that one I dont know about. I know that others have made scripts that run at boot and they always go into ect/init.d folder but I do not know if that would work in your case. Some of the XDA vets will chime in here in a bit and should be able to say if its possible and if so how.
Tap-a-Talked
Ok thanks I could not find the init.d in the ect/ folder.

Which file explorer are you using
Tap-a-Talked
Root explorer
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Same here. That's weird. Well give em some time. Its the holiday weekend. They'll swing through here and give ya a better answer then what I can. Sorry couldn't do more for ya.
Tap-a-Talked
No problem thanks for the help!
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
I found a way using autostart (root) from the market it will run any script during boot.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Cool deal
Tap-a-Talked
Well I thought it was working well but it seems that this mounts the partition a lil to late any other advise?

7.5 gigs free, cannot install an apk due to no space?

So I am truly confused.
I am trying to install an apk that is 6mb and I keep getting an error that I have insufficient space.
Problem is, 14 regular market apps updated just fine.
And I've 7.5 gigs free space.
I've rebooted into cwm recover, and fixed permissions, cleared the cache, still no fix.
Any ideas?

Yes sir.
The only thing done was a root. Other than this I'm stock.
Meaning I am not running any custom rom.
I have installed Google now... But that's it. That's the only mod flashed and it's been there two days before this problem manifested.
