Yea I would tell you why if the forum search was working. You need to make a flashable zip for this to work. Don't remember the reasoning behind it. A zip was posted in one of the cyanogen threads if I recall correctly. Once search is back up I suggest searching for 'adfree' and clicking the "show posts" radio button.

How are you installing busybox? If you haven't already tried this way, install titanium backup, then open titanium and click the "problems" button on the bottom. That will give you the option to install a working version of busybox.

Just go clockworkmod and push hosts file to /system/etc via ADB.
P.S. don't forget mount system first.

This is sweet
I read that people who are using the new market are having issues with downloads, just thought I let you guys know.

I used root explorer to copy the apk to system app, rebooted and installed. Worked good that way for me.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
I got it installed. it comes up fine/searches. When I try to access "My Apps" or download anything it force closes. I rebooted a couple times and fixed permissions in Rom Manager. Can't get it to not force close at all.

That's what I tried to warn you guys about. People have had issues downloading from the new market. Just wait two weeks and it will officially be out.

lg optimus one
either /data/app
/system/app
or if you use Froyos "move application to sd" it would end up in the .android_secure folder on your sdcard. If that's the case you'd have to move them back in Settings->Applications
I am using optimus one.Stock rom. Not rooted and having app2sd.

Clockwork won't stick, any ideas?

So I'm on 2.3.5 and I rooted using (one click root) method and everything is cool but I find myself having to flash clockwork every time via rom manager, is there any way to make it stick?

Where is Android Market 3.1.5?

Am I missing something? Where is the updated Android Market for this phone? Why does my wife's G2 have a better Market when I'm stuck with the older one?

Hooray For The Old Market App!
I go to the Android Market for Android Apps. When I got the updated app on my G2, I got used to it. But I never liked it. Yes, I'm sure I could have gone back, but it wasn't a big issue with me.
I don't buy movies on the Android Market
I don't buy books on the Android Market
I do get free apps and paid apps on the Android Market and that's what my market app does.
Hooray for the older, simpler app!
Im using the android market from undead's rom. Its good but its very buggy. Switching back to older version
I was actually able to find everything I was looking for here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1284647
Just replace the file (of course make sure you backup, just in case) and restart the phone. The vending.apk is located in \system\app
Versión 3.2.0 is out already.

Titanium backup not recognising root

Whenever I go into titanium backup it says sorry could not acquire root privileges. All I've done is unlocked the bootloader and installed cwm, superuser and busy box. Also I'm on stock Rom and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that hasn't worked.
