We all need a little help here. We just did a manual upgrade to Froyo couple days ago.We loved all the features. but after update, we are not able to run apps installer. everytime i try to run it it says "the application Apps Installer (process com.mmg.appin) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"
now we cannot install apps from SD Card anymore.
anybody know how to fix that?
Many thanks
Frank
I'm rooted with NVFlash and did the pre-dexopt patch.
I cannot get to the market app. I see the icon but when I click on it I see the prompt:
"Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
If it matters, here is the order I rooted/flashed.
1. Rooted using SuperRoot
2. Rom Manager fake-flash
3. Attempted Pre-Dexopt (but I don't think it worked because I was fake flashed)
4. NVFlash
5. Pre-Dexopt Flash.
6. Wiped SD Card
I think it was wiping the SD card, but that doesn't make any sense. Market app stays on the phone.
Either way, can someone post the Market app?
Aww, no market app love?
Downloaded file for hidden app on noob by Brianf21. File is downloaded but when i attempt to install get following error message "the application browser (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
May be the App is not compatible with you firmware version or may be corrupted app.
Try to re download and re install.
Hi everyone,
I got this message, and it's really annoying,
I'm new in rooting, it happens while using "Link2SD" application, I tried to convert a "system application" "Google Search" to a "user application"
and error happens, then the Google search widget disappear,
Then I found this application in one website " Google_Search_2.2.10.546669_For_Android.apk"
and whenever i tried to install it,
the process stopped in the message"There is a problem parsing the package".......
Anyone know how to pass this?
Thank you!

Try using a root explorer to place the apk into the system-apps folder then set permissions for rw-r-r and reboot.

Dear cjsspape,
Thank you very much for your responding,
I got the program " root explorer"
1. I set permissions in app folder to RlW
2. paste the application there.
and I got the same message...
error parsing message...
the problem is I think when I tried to move it firstly using "Link2SD"
it crashed the program when trying moving it to the SD Card and the system still behaving like the program is still there, when it actually nothing remains from the google search widget.
If you know other hints or tricks I can do to pass this message to complete the installation,
Or Can I get the original program apk from another Xperia Arc S phone to get it again working fine?
Thank you very much,
Best regards.
I have installed an apk file previously and now intend to install another updated apk file to my android phone. However the installation of the new apk file failed with message "an existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed".
I had tried to uninstall the first apk and then install the new apk file but the installation failed with the same message appeared. My phone is not rooted. Is there any way to rectify the error ?
Thank you in advance.

I found another user who could fix a similar issue with YouTube.apk: [Q] Installing the new YouTube V5 apk Issues (task's AOKP).
Maybe it works for you too.
Alternatively you can check if the un-installed (first) app is really completely uninstalled. Maybe it's a system app which still has some left-overs in another folder and is just "de-activated" or "disabled".
However, completely uninstalling of system apps requires root access.
If you still have issues and you can't contact the app/update dev for help, you can post your questions in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
