So.. when could our cappy get froyo?
I do not expect gingerbread. ugh..
It's available in the UK now! Can't believe the performance improvements achieved. It's still not perfect, but it's much better than what was slapped onto the Galaxy S previously.

Leshak u rock man!
Leshak is Awesome.
Can anyone explain me if its faster or better then the samdroid turbo?
froyo is faster than eclair and the intial reports by users over at samdroid say it is faster and also samdroid turbo (frozen eclair) is a mix of froyo libs and hence froyo will be faster or equivalent to samdroid turbo.

it's a great news for us LeshaK is the mage lol but can 2.2 set the proxy?
This is awesome, looking forward to the "all-working" release. LeshaK u rock!
I'm somehow afraid we will never see 100% working and stable FroYo on Spica. There's much work to do and only few developers.
Anyway I look forward for it. As for now my device lags in UI and simple 2D games. That's something I can't stand. Where's the power of 800 mhz CPU?
I hope Froyo would change it. Anyone knows how games are performing? I mean Drop, Air Control, Hyper Jump, Abduction etc.
The first one runs very fast on Samdroid Turbo V7, but when stars show up, there is a lag. Sometimes even for no reason.
dude at samdroid tom3q is working on a 3d driver and the progress is good.
Leshak released an update ..link is the same...
I just upgraded from the Samsung Vibrant to the G2X and while the speed of thh G2X is amazing, the menus and navigation of the G2X are so bland (black and white) which I guess is what you get when you have a more vanilla OS. After seeing this I now know why it takes carriers so long to tweek the ROM's. So I'm looking for some software suggestions:
1) On the Vibrant, when I pulled down the indicator bar I ad controls for WIFI, Bluetooth, GMs and so forth. on the G2X, I feel they wasted space and just put "T-Mobile Get More? - any way to put controls in this space.
2) I hate the black and white look of the the contacts list - any good replacements to soice this up?
3) I installed the free version of Bueiness Calendar to add some color to my calensar - very nice. Anyone know of a good Exchange cliend other than touchdown?
Thanks
Max
New android user here (3 weeks) and I just got the new Infused on my phone last night. But im not too sure on what the actual differences are? I know it had a different launcher (one i didnt like because I like 5x5 icons) but thats all that really seemed different to me. The status bar looked like a diff with a diff battery icon and a few different icons. Not trying to be a downer but what is the main reason people switch over to the Infused rom???
The main features are Voodoo lagfix and sound. The lagfix changes the filesystem that the phone uses to one that is much faster which makes your phone faster and smoother all around. I'm not sure on the details about Voodoo sound but I believe it basically installs different sound drivers that make better use of the high end sound card that the infuse has, making all of your music sound better.
There are other things such as other speed improvements, removed stock AT&T apps, and new themes as well.
Basically, it makes your phone way faster and better, themes it, and removes all of the unwanted crap.

Speed I havent noticed too much yet, but it was also fast as hell before and im coming from an iphone 4 so the big speed jump from that made this one less noticeable to me. So basically it uncluttered the phone and mades a few things different so they ran more efficient and cleaner?
and is there anything special I can do now? I know it says unbranded app market so what apps are there that I couldnt get before?

It was a question about the infused rom which is part of development so I figured it belonged here, sorry for the mistake
I think moto was saying that you could have posted this "in" the Infused ROM thread.
I'm on Infused 1.5 too. There are a wealthy of improvement built into the rom. See the change log for everything you need to know man.
I'm surprised this thread is still open. I'll answer the question anyways. the rom is based on the updated firmware, many people are unable to get it ota, it is deodexed which removes unneeded files that take up space, it is zipaligned(not completely sure what that really does) att bloat is removed, sensor related batery drain is reduced, wifi poling is less frequent(saves battery if wifi is enabled but you are not connected) low mem killer is tweaked(may improve performance) rfs file system is replaced with ext4 with special mount options for best performance without losing data (there are faster file systems but many don't have journaling or are not very standard), it has an improved driver for the headphone amp with bass boost and presets for recording levels and quality settings. a launcher with less lag and transparent background, cwm recovery without a need to mod 3e recovery.
basically it is a bit smoother, which may be hard to notice because the infuse runs pretty good, it has less of what you font need, and it has somethings you need made easier. and even things you didn't know you wanted but once you try it out you won't want to get rid of it

Please excuse the dbag, quite a few of them here, but there are enough helpful people that make this place usefull.
Rom developement forum is for the devs to post info on roms. I think they prefer questions in the rom thread itself or in general.
Motomudder77 , good job making newbies feel welcome. He said he was new to android. So reading the change log 100 times would do no good. If you cant post something helpful then dont post.
Dave
Ask your question in the Infused ROM thread, don't start a new thread.
Closed.
What would you like to be improved on your stock Sensation
Htc Sensation improvements & bugfixes
Improvements:
Android 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 (mainly for gtalk video)
Improved speed.
Improved stability.
Battery life improvements.
Ability to remove certain apps like htc locations, peep, friends stream, stocks, reader, dices & teeter.
Bugfixes:
WiFi deathgrip.
Screen unresponseness.
Mail app keeps storing the same attachments a 100 times!?
Please add things you would like to see in the next update (i hope someone from Htc will read this)
I just got my Sensation 3 days ago. Here's what I'm wanting so far:
- these 7 spinning Home pages - I cant seem to get a few to go away
- the phone pad covers up the speakerphone and end call/call buttons
- stop the BRIGHT light on start-up....make it black or something
- delete apps, or organize apps
- obviously the speaker sucks, so anything to improve that
- be able to adjust the auto-brightness - down some at least
- my turn-off automation doesnt seem to stop all the automation
*keep in mind i'm a noob, prob some simple answers to these I just dont know yet
I'd like it to feel like it actually has two cores running at a higher clockspeed than the Desire HD, instead of feeling slower.
Being able to remove inbuilt applications in the applications console would be great.
Apart from that, tis nice
I would just like to see them refine Sense 3.0, the home screen lag and constant reloading are too annoying. If they refined the launcher to use less RAM and fixed some of the bugs, I'd be happy.
you and me both...

this is the only phone, out of the EVO 3d, Samsung g2 and the LG G2x where the validity, or visible evidence of dual core speed is perpetually questioned. Whether Sense is not "optimized" or one core is working until certain processes need it, the phone does not, IMO, hang with its competition in its stock form.
ps- did I mention that I would like the FIRST FREAKING UPDATE here in the UU on T-Mo. Everyone else around the globe wants "another" one and we have yet to get our first (to my knowledge).
Speaker improvement, try and alleviate the WiFi issues, better BT support, and just overall optimization.
What I would like is to get the contact I am pressing instead of someone else in the text messaging.......... I have no idea how this is still an issue Oh and perhaps sense not restarting every time I exit a program, getting a little tired of the white HTC screen!
To all LG P920 end users, I would need your comment & feedback if you have upgraded your LG P920 base on below reference to 21A so far and have there been any issues you're noticing?
I actually want to try this new GB 2.3.5 version as I can't wait for LG to upgrade through official LG update tool anymore as there are about 3 months already in waiting.
One more question, what are the big changes from froyo 2.2 to GB 2.3.5 you have noticed?
Model Number: LG-P920
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband version: L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
Kernel version:2.6.35.7
Build number: FRG8G
Software version: LGP920-V10c-SEP-27-2011
Appreciate for your advice & feedback with thank.
Went from 10K(vodafone branded)>V21a no issues
Optus Aust 10J > 21a no issues.
GB Seems to have
Slightly better battery life
New status bar icons,
An unshaded status bar (The Froyo status bar had a white to grey gradient, while GB is just black).
Two fingers can both move and zoom on stock gallery (Froyo was zoom only.)
Better gallery - Pictures in the froyo gallery were lower quality than they actually were. The GB Gallery shows them at full resolution. Also has more animations
Dolby Digital sound
Video stablizer for 2D as well as 3D (Froyo only had it for 3D)
Video editor (Useless?)
Black instead of offwhite menu bar. Looks nicer imo.
3D Button takes a picture instead of changing camera to 3d mode
The right hand camera bar with controls will become transparent if a widescreen video is being taken.
Music player's horizontal rotation is 1 line of album arts, instead of 3 (or 4, cant remember how much). I actually prefer the 3/4 rows of album art, as it looked better and was easier to use.
Also, Scrolling seems to be changed so that the menus don't follow your finger, but instead smoothly move to the position of your finger. This annoys me.
Froyo seems to be somewhat faster (Dungeon defenders seems to be able to handle situations with lots of stuff better than GB).
Thank you so much and noted you're living in Sydney which I believe there is no issue with Data network as well as low phone signal.
Did you cam from Froyo to GB using manual LG update tool and not from official update tool ( I mean OTA using PC internet network)?

Yeah. I used this method to flash GB. You can flash 21B, but its almost the same as 21A and can't be rooted.
Some people seem to be getting missed calls, but it hasn't happened to me.
Agree with 314. If you will have problems with signal you can back to stock froyo.
T-mobile-uk gingerbread offical v20a
Hi- my biggest upset is Smartshare - had a option in wireless+networks, enable smartshare,on FRODO. Now since getting Gingerbread this has disappeared and as a result I can not stream content without buffering to my tv
