It would be great if someone could port this clock/weather widget from the LG Optimus. It is sort of like the miui clock, but a lot better looking. Thanks.
That is nice! Wouldn't mind that on my phone! Anyone cleverer than me know how to do it?!

Yeah I saw that on Gizmodo. the rest of the ui looks different from the touchwiz3 that came on my phone by default, I wonder if thats a new version.

Touchwiz is Samsung's UI, this one is from the new LG phones, they do look really similar though. I would think that it should be possible though, I am actually still using the the LG calendar that someone ripped from a previous LG phone.
"GO Weather" has a similar widget (Too similar?).
I attached a couple of screens.
Not sure what other phones it will work with but you can try this

I did try that a couple of days ago and it didn't have Seattle or surrounding area's available for weather. It's pretty close to the LG, but quite as clean, but still pretty good. If they can get more locations working I may consider it. Thanks

I have the Fascinate(Verizon's Galaxy S), from what I understand that will only work with HTC phones.
I figured I'd check on this to see if there has been any kind of progress made?
You would most likely have to port the framework....very difficult

I was hoping to try that GO weather app, because I really like how the widget looks. Unfortunately, I live in this rather small, obscure town that no one's heard of, and it didn't come up when I searched for it. Maybe someday they'll add Los Angeles, CA to their list, but it's not on there now.

Hi,
My Nexus one arrived today (UK).
My mate has a Hero, and on his hero he has a set of widgets from HTC, e.g sense clock etc.. Just wondering if you can get them for the nexus one, ive seen a few imitations, but I would really like the real thing!
Real things require the Rosie framework, which is HTC specific. That's why the imitations exist.
Ok thanks for that, looks like its imitations for me then

Does that mean that we won't get sense on the n1 until htc releases sense on a compatible piece of hardware like the bravo? Or do we just need someone to rip it out of the hero?
We probably won't get sense until an Android 2.1 compatible version comes out. I suppose it might technically be possible to use the current 1.6 Sense (I don't know, I'm not a developer, so don't quote me on that) but why would you wanna go from 2.1 back to 1.6?
It won't be long, though. Bravo supposedly releases in March, and Hero 2.1 update is supposed to be approx. the same time.

There's a 2.1 based Hero rom floating around, and the Espresso rom, so it's potentially possible, but neither of them is especially good. Once the Bravo comes out, the similar hardware should make for a quick (and almost perfect) SenseUI port I'd think. Look at the 32A Magic/Hero - same hardware, eventually got an official SenseUI, and it works very well.
That said, unless Espresso/Sense2 added a lot of new features, I'm not entirely sure of the appeal beyond just Rosie. 2.0/2.1 added most of the best features of Sense to stock Android.

Do they work OK on Nexus? I'd be interested in those. I don't like the Power bar because it takes up 4 spaces - really only want to toggle Wifi and Internet - Plus the individual ones can be put on different screens Are they .apk ?

Yeah, doesn't make sense at all Seriously, yeah, I'd just use the HTC Clock widget.
I still like the whatever-the-app-is when you touch the weather in the Sense Clock widget.. World weather, time, stopwatch, etc all in one place. Played with it in XDAndroid a bit, but using a stock Nexus One and have separate apps for such things now.
You do realise the HTC Clock Widget can only be used on Sense UI, right?

well, i dont know about him/her, but i would ALWAYS prefer a knock-off(no offense to dev) over the real thing.........lol. i dont get the op posting this and insulting the dev who put this up. you couldve taken the time to find the real culprit responsible for your issues rather than giving the dev a bad rep. Im sure its more likely a combination of your apps/kernel/rom/recovery image not playing nicely together. you need to locate the issue rather than insulting a dev that tries to provide ppls with no sense, the ability to experience one of its most popular, well-known widgets...im not surprised you got flamed for this one. Does something exist like that, that has a list of cities and you just pick the city and it displays the time in a widget?
try moxier world
http://www.appbrain.com/app/de.softxperience.android.worldclockwidget
Is exactly what I personally want, except.. to work. It doesn't keep up properly, not sure if it keeps time itself and doesn't keep synced or what, but it's pretty horrid sometimes.... I keep up with a TZ +9.5 from me and sometimes I'll see it as far off as +8.5...
The others I saw nothing interesting... Except the one wasting most of the widget space on an android icon
i am looking for the sprint stock apps and the htc stock ones as well... i updated my rom and would like to get some stuff back such as the clock widget on a stock rom, etc etc....
thanks in advance
The clock widget was a Sense widget. If your new ROM isn't a sense rom, you can't use the stock clock widget. There are quite a few replacement widgets in the market though.
Search around on the development forums. Devs like to strip out those apps but provide flashable zips for those who want them. Limit your search to the Sense roms.

need more info.. for starters, what rom are u using?
If you are using a non-Sense based ROM (i.e. CM) none of the widgets will work as they all need the Sense framework to run.
The Sprint apps will run however, and as was stated, take a look in the Development forums, they are all there.
thank u all for ure replys! yea im using cyanogenmod 7 and ill look around in those forums.... also, i understand that they need the framework for it to work, but those zip files stated on top... would they not contain those files? im new to android, i come from windows mobile... so sorry for the noobish questions

You won't find a Gingerbread ROM with Sense...you can theme it to look like Sense, but it will not be Sense.
As for the Sense framework, no, the zips that have the apps will not have the Sense framework...totally different beast

The Pro version gives the option to use a very Sense-like flip clock and weather animations similar to what you would see in Sense.

I actually have a few (Minimalistic Text, Beautiful Widgets, SimiClock, FancyWidgets and Miui) that I switch between or combo up...I'm a tool I like the weather forecast options of FancyWidgets, the clock look of Miui, battery stats of Minimalistic Text...I'm never satisfied Wish I could learn to make my own app to make it how I want it...I have tried and always just revert back recognizing the fact that I can theme, but not dev.

Hey all,
Want a HONEYCOMB style lockscreen?
Try this one. It looks really close, if not the same.
Works for 2.2, 2.2.1, 2.3.3
GSM & CDMA
*Known bugs
Some user experience a "double lockscreen" this is being worked on. This bug is on all versions paid or free. Reboots sometimes works, or stop the lockscreen and start it again from in app settings.
works landscape and portrait.
SRRY, forgot to ad the thanks, until reminded. Thanks, SunPengfei
I have found that this version works best in our tabs.
Feel free to update through market, but, again,I found this earlier version works best.
Enjoy.
Or get the paid version on the market, although I dont see any difference. (especially if your rom has an adblocker or adfree)

WOW! This was what i was looking for (I just really wanted an auto rotating lockscreen) !
I've found a few things:
The status bar is still openable
There isn't an option to make the wallpaper see-through. Meaning we cannot see the live wallpaper beneath it.
The lock circle gets cut off when moved to extreme points.
Not deal breakers and considering its actually pretty good as is, I can live with those things maybe there will be fixes and additional features!
Thanks!
