Brick? - Need help - Captivate General

Tried to flash Cezar's rom and now I am stuck in the boot animation. Ive tried everything to get into download mode or recovery... I must be doing something wrong.
Can anyone provide assistance? Is my phone perma-bricked?
Thanks.
Update: I found a way to get it unbricked, havent seen it before...
I couldnt get into download, recovery, - NOTHING...
I noticed Odin would say "added" then "removed" pretty soon after I would try to get into download. So I opened up a terminal window and typed out adb reboot download. Then I tried to get into download again and the second ODIN saw it (added) I pressed enter on my terminal window. It then went into download mode and I was able to recover
Phew!

[Q] Help! "no boot or recovery img"

I've been trying to flash a new rom, and I can't. Fastboot pops up every time I try to boot recovery saying "No boot or recovery image"
My phone still boots it's rom normally and can connect to the computer via usb just fine, but I've tried flashing several different CWM recoveries and none of them work, it all just gives this same error. I can't re-flash now, and this rom is not working well. What do I do?

are you spelling the name of the recovery correctly? is the recovery file(.img) in the same folder in your computer as fastboot is?
Search "flash image GUI" I think, here on xda, on the thread download the apk, then install on your phone, then go to rom manager the WEBSITE, find a recovery image that corresponds with your phone then download it. Now go to flash image gui and flash the CWR image you just got like 2 or 3 times just so it sticks now see if it works.
Nevermind, as simms said (didn't read properly). You can use the tab key to autofinish the name of the recovery.
Hi guys, I found the problem, but thank you all for your suggestions. the problem was my fastboot was still locked! (I'm not sure how I got this far without unlocking it, but now it's moot) Anyways, it works now, and all is well. Thanks!

Non-booting Tablet

Okay. I work for a school district and we have deployed tablets to our students for use. I have one -5113 that boots only to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 logo and then goes blank. No animated swirl Samsung logo. Trying to boot into recovery doesn't do anything but go to a black screen. The only thing that I can boot into is download mode. First I tried to flash a stock version of the ROM to the device, but it still operates the same. Then I tried to flash custom recoveries to no avail. The flashable version of Clockworkmod I found boots to the hat and gear logo screen, but then freezes there and eventually the tablet restarts. TWRP will install and I can boot into it, but can't do anything because it wants a passcode that has never been set. I have also tried CF-auto root to install a new ROM, but that was unsuccessful too. I was hoping someone could see the error of my ways so I can get this up and running. Thanks in advance.
According to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2090104
you can try this:
Ok, I was able to fix this. Here is how in case this happens to someone else.
1. Uninstalled Kies
2. Reboot PC
3. Plug in tab and wait for drivers to load
4. Start Odin (I found the DL link in the dev area)
5. download the firmware that you want to load - I had JB
6. extract the md5 file
follow Odin instructions to flash a file, this worked without being in Download Mode.

I have been able to flash through Odin. That works great, but it doesn't change how the device is working.
Suuuuuuuuuper bummed, I was running with not 1 issue, custom rom/kernel/recovery was working perfect.. well for some reason, tab crashed, wouldn't boot back up, went into recovery, tried to clear dalvik cache and tab rebooted, tried again , same thing, well, I went to just restore nandroid and didn't work. I rebooted into download mode tried to Odin stock back, Odin hung. So I opened up kies and I went to reboot download mode for a "fresh start" and when I booted back up, brick.. no recovery, no download mode.. I'm irritated ... :/ down to only old EpicTouch and my S4.. was cool for a bit to have a tab to play with too.. oh well.. I get tab3 later.. :/

[Q] Will not go to DOWNLOAD MODE

I was given a table from my friend and when I tried to power it on it went the the default recovery mode. But when I try to reboot it to go into Dowload mode to set it back to Default Firmware it gets stuck on the Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 10.1 loading screen. Anyone know how to fix this?
loaded recovery mode
So I was finally able to load into recovery mode after a few times of trying. But I got a bunch or errors.
Seems like something´s wrong with the partition or fstab... maybe something happend to the Bootloader?
Have you flashed anything? If yes please write all steps you did and post the links from files you used.
Boot the recovery,
If it´s booted pres Power+Volume Up until it entered Download mode!
- No DownloadMode - No easy chance
Flash a Stockrom using Odin.
Well, I'm not sure how your table is able to go to download mode, let alone power on.
jkjkjkjk lol It looks like all of your partitions are corrupted. Maybe you have to flash a pit file with Odin?

[Q] Trying to restore to stock, stuck in bootloop when trying to enter recovery mode

Hey guys. I just got a Galaxy Note 10.1 WiFi for Christmas (GT-n8013). I downloaded Cyanogenmod 10.2 on it to play around, but decided I wanted to go back to stock. However, something has gone horribly wrong. I flashed the stock ROM via ODIN and that seemed to work, but my device then went into a bootloop. I get the Samsung boot logo, and then an Android with a spinning blue object in his chest with a download bar. The download bar hangs at about 1/5 of the way, and then the device resets. I am unable to post images due to new user rules.
That download bar does not move past that point. It hangs there for a minute or so and then reboots, shows the "Samsung Note 10.1" boot logo, goes to this download again, then freezes and reboots. I am able to get into download mode, which shows that my device is on stock firmware, but the custom binary count remains at 1 (which I've read is due to installing ClockworkRecoveryMod?).
I am unable to boot into recovery mode. I get the aforementioned bootloop. I've attempted to flash the stock recovery with ODIN, and though it says it's successful, I continue to get a bootloop. My computer is also unable to recognize the USB device when bootlooping, even though ODIN says I have the correct drivers installed.
Sorry I can't link directly to the images, the forums won't let me. I'm definitely in way over my head here and would really appreciate some help. Thank you!
I have the same peoblem
the answer i got was to download the firmware form sammobile ( GT-N8013 )
then flash it with odin. Right know i am downloading the file (the size is very large)
If you have GT-N8013 then you can get the firmware form this link terafile.co/3f6559556907/N8013UEUCMA3_N8013XARCMA3_XAR.zip
I am new to this so i hope you can help flash this file on my tablet because we both the have kind of the same problem.

I am currently attempting this and will report back with my results.
EDIT: It worked!!!! The firmware flash didn't immediately fix the bootloop, but it allowed me to enter recovery mode. From there, I did a data wipe/factory reset from the recovery menu, restarted, and it's working!

No Download Mode or Recovery Mode

Wow, I've searched over and over and tried all possible methods as described in posts here and other forums but to no avail. Phone is in boot loop. It boots up to the point where you see blaze, etc., then restarts continously.
I flashed recovery thru Odin 1.85 which went alright. Load supersuper thru CWM. It went alright. Then I flashed cm-11-20140224-NIGHTLY-t769 and got error. Wiped Data/Cache/Dalvik. When I reboot the phone,it goes into boot loop. I then took battery out and wait for stock download (SGH-T769_NA_TMB_ICS_Opensource) to return to stock.
After the download, I put battery on, used jig to put phone in download mode but it cannot. Tried to put in CWM (Up/Down/Power) but still cannot. When I let go, it boots up continously.
Is there a way around this?
Thanks!

When you flashed cm was the error a "status 7"?

Maybe adb reboot recovery?
That's if you can get adb

It's ok now. I pulled battery out and let it sit 24hrs. When I put battery back in and plug in the jig, it went directly to download mode! Before, no matter what I did following procedures it never went recovery or download mode. I then flash back stock T769UVMB1_T769TMBMB1 with odin 1.85.
Thanks guys!
