I was given a table from my friend and when I tried to power it on it went the the default recovery mode. But when I try to reboot it to go into Dowload mode to set it back to Default Firmware it gets stuck on the Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 10.1 loading screen. Anyone know how to fix this?
loaded recovery mode
So I was finally able to load into recovery mode after a few times of trying. But I got a bunch or errors.
Seems like something´s wrong with the partition or fstab... maybe something happend to the Bootloader?
Have you flashed anything? If yes please write all steps you did and post the links from files you used.
Boot the recovery,
If it´s booted pres Power+Volume Up until it entered Download mode!
- No DownloadMode - No easy chance
Flash a Stockrom using Odin.
Well, I'm not sure how your table is able to go to download mode, let alone power on.
jkjkjkjk lol It looks like all of your partitions are corrupted. Maybe you have to flash a pit file with Odin?

So I am facing a bit of a situation. My tab, I815, will only boot into download mode. I was using the tab, when it completely froze up so I powered it down by long pressing the power button. Tried to boot back up, stuck in a boot loop. Tried to go into recovery to do a reset, but am unable to get into recovery. Thought maybe something happened to my recovery partition so I booted into download mode and reflashed CWM, everything looked ok on ODIN, so I once again tried to boot into recovery and nothing. So let's see if anyone has some ideas on how to fix this. I can only boot into download mode and the lack of factory ODIN files for the I815 is making this into a problem. Any ideas?
Also I no longer use verizon for service so I do not care about the LTE service. The I815 and the 6800 have the same partitions. Do you think it would be possible to use a factory ODIN firmware from the 6800? I know I wouldn't have any cell service, but I am now only using it as a WiFi tab anyway.
My Phone (Obviously T769) is stuck in the Download mode saying
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
I tried that, Kies does not detect my phone in this mode. (I think. may be wrong)
What I did that got me up to here:
Tried to reflash to stock using Odin since my ROM was damaged.
Loads the PIT and TAR
Goes into download mode
Starts.
IT FAILS.
I try to just go back to android.
End up wid dis screen.

EDIT:Fixed this by flashing AGAIN with Odin.
NOW IM IN A MOTHER
FREAKING
BOOTLOOP. (I did uncheck re-partition)(ALSO, I cannot enter download mode. Does not work for whatsoever reason.)
If anyone can help this, that would be nice

Boot to the recovery and factory reset.
If still no go, use Odin to flash cwm and boot to it and do a factory reset, wipe cache, and davlik cache.
And again, if it still wont boot get into cwm again and do a full wipe (all of the previous wipes and format /system), then rerun Odin to flash the stock firmware.

I didn't see your edit down there.
To get in into the recovery, with the phone off, hold both the volume up and down (the whole rocker) and the power button until you see the recovery.
If your having issues getting into Download mode take a look at these tips. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27360727&postcount=57

The phone just keeps to vibrate nonstop as I keep doing that. (Entering recovery mode) it doesnt seem to work.
Should I try ADB to force it into download mode? (If so, HALP? )

NOW when I try to flash something with Odin, it just detects but thenI start the process, it tells me it failed and then its not detected. . Using 1.8.5 by K0nane

You have to release the power button when the samsung logo appears. It should enter recovery then.

Okay. I work for a school district and we have deployed tablets to our students for use. I have one -5113 that boots only to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 logo and then goes blank. No animated swirl Samsung logo. Trying to boot into recovery doesn't do anything but go to a black screen. The only thing that I can boot into is download mode. First I tried to flash a stock version of the ROM to the device, but it still operates the same. Then I tried to flash custom recoveries to no avail. The flashable version of Clockworkmod I found boots to the hat and gear logo screen, but then freezes there and eventually the tablet restarts. TWRP will install and I can boot into it, but can't do anything because it wants a passcode that has never been set. I have also tried CF-auto root to install a new ROM, but that was unsuccessful too. I was hoping someone could see the error of my ways so I can get this up and running. Thanks in advance.
According to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2090104
you can try this:
Ok, I was able to fix this. Here is how in case this happens to someone else.
1. Uninstalled Kies
2. Reboot PC
3. Plug in tab and wait for drivers to load
4. Start Odin (I found the DL link in the dev area)
5. download the firmware that you want to load - I had JB
6. extract the md5 file
follow Odin instructions to flash a file, this worked without being in Download Mode.

I have been able to flash through Odin. That works great, but it doesn't change how the device is working.
Suuuuuuuuuper bummed, I was running with not 1 issue, custom rom/kernel/recovery was working perfect.. well for some reason, tab crashed, wouldn't boot back up, went into recovery, tried to clear dalvik cache and tab rebooted, tried again , same thing, well, I went to just restore nandroid and didn't work. I rebooted into download mode tried to Odin stock back, Odin hung. So I opened up kies and I went to reboot download mode for a "fresh start" and when I booted back up, brick.. no recovery, no download mode.. I'm irritated ... :/ down to only old EpicTouch and my S4.. was cool for a bit to have a tab to play with too.. oh well.. I get tab3 later.. :/

Can only enter download mode in odin flashing pda files has no effect however succeed every time, probably have corrupt files in every partition right now, have just repartitioned, what is the next step?
My GT-N8000 became stuck on the white text on black background boot screen spontaneously. I tried all variations of attempting to boot.
I was unable to enter recovery mode.(Holding power+up resulted in nothing)
I could enter Odin download mode.
I tried to flash a custom recovery to come back from nothing.
This flash succeeded in odin however nothing changed on the tablet.
I attempted to start from scratch and repartition which succeeded however after flashing a stock rom attempting to boot normally gives me a completely white screen.
Attempting to enter recovery gives me a white screen with ****ed up pixels.
I am still able to enter odin download
What do i do from here?
I can repartition again, what is the next step to come back from there?

how do you guys brick your tabs ???????????????????????????
as long as you can enter Odin mode so there is still hope.
According to my knowledge about other phones OS there are more than one file to revive the phone. Stock firmware usually have most of them. try in this direction to find the other OS files, I know there is a PIT file that restores something about partitions files system.
Maybe try another stock firmware.
I hope that would help to revive your tablet.

the post above has the solution that worked for me just follow those directions with the firmware for your device
Good luck
So I bricked my device again. *applause*
What Happened?
Flashed CWM using Odin
Booted into CWM Recovery
Deleted everything - /data, /sys, and most definitely the battery stats (I know that frustrated look on your face)
Rebooted *mwahahaha*
Output:
Stuck at boot logo
Can't boot into recovery anymore
Can't go into download mode either for unknown reasons (apart from faulty side buttons)
Odin shows COM1 port but can't establish connection when I try flashing and booting CWM (we know why; we haven't gone into download mode have we?!)
Stuck at boot logo
Stuck a-
Discovered solutions:
Strategy is to try going into EDL by hook or by crook. So we take the device apart (done), press on the power key and volume down key with a screw driver (done), and boot into download mode (done)
Flash CWM again via Odin
Reboot into Recovery (DOES NOT WORK)
It's probably because SAMSUNG does a battery check before the boot. And finds absolute garbage.
So my question is, is there a way to flash the entire firmware as a whole (including modem images, battery shiz and all that) VIA ODIN? This one solution if available will settle the whole puzzle for me.

I think ( yes think because I am not an expert ??!!! ) th problem is with recovery. Why don't you try again with different version of CWM. If still not, try TWRP.

(Sorry ! Read your post more carefully and am replying ) yes you can flash entire firmware via odin. What you actually did was you wiped out the whole system. Well try to install any recovery and you can also install a custom rom of android 7 ( the latest for our tab but outdated too ).
