Website said they could not generate unlock code? - Droid 2 Global General

I requested for a sim unlock code from cell-unlockers.com and they claim that after about 24 hours of trying they could not generate an unlock code for me and sometimes "because of certain firmware versions" they cannot generate the unlock code Sounds weird and the firmware shouldnt matter, but anyways I'm not an Verizon customer so I cant get an unlock code from them so anyone had better luck with some other website?
Also I am aware that I need more then this to get it working on AT&T but I still need this as the first step.

Going to Europe

I've got my TILT security unlocked with, new HARDSPL and have a cooked ROM and working well in the US.
I'm going to Nuremberg mid December. Is my phone ready to accept a prepaid sim that I buy over there? Or do I need to do more unlocking?
Thanks
you need to sim unlock
I think it should work. No worries there.
Really,
after all the mods and unlocking I've done "sim unlock" didn't get rolled in there at some point..wow.
So, can I just call AT&T to get an unlock code or have all my modifications messed up going that route?

sometimes they will give it to your if you call them and say you are going out of the country (like you really are) otherwise you can extract the code by your self. You can learn how to do that here. I've used it before, works great.
Well, after reading of the trials and tribulations of those who have attempted this I think it would be easier if I just called them and got the code. The questions now is, since I'm running 6.1 and all the latest and greatest, must I reflash 6.0 and spl's and all that to even be able to call them and get the code or will their code work no matter what I have loaded.
Damn these phones have some heavy security measures to keep folks from screwing with them. 1) have to have a hard spl so that we can flash without getting our spl's replaced everytime by the ROMS we are trying to load. 2) Security unlock needs to be done or we get stuck with radios we might not want to keep 3) sim unlock so we can run a different carriers SIM.
What else is in these things to trip us up...??

Downgrading to 6.0 to unlock?
you wont need to downgrade to 6.0 to put the code in. The unlock code they provide is attached to IMEI number and would unlock the regardless of what software you have installed.
Thanks, cingular is emailing me the code....Last time I did this with my blackjack it only took a few days.

We received your request for the device unlock code for the HTC IMEI ***********. If the equipment was purchased outright from an AT&T store, you will need to fax the receipt to 217-612-7800 ATTN: Device Unlock Team and include the name on the account, cellular number, and the IMEI number. The receipt must show the “full retail price” was paid for the equipment. If the receipt shows a discount was received for the equipment, we will not release the unlock code. Please review the receipt prior to faxing in the receipt to avoid a delay in processing your request. Please enter *#06# from the handset to view the IMEI number.
Thank you,
Device Unlock Team
figured tey might give you trouble.... you could call and complain, but it will probably take just as long as the unlocker and you may get nowhere.

[Q] Problems unlocking Rogers Samsung S3

I purchased an unlock code from Rogers, but when I enter it into the phone using the other service provider's SIM card, I get an error message that says "Network unlock unsuccessful". Rogers can't figure out why the unlock code isn't working. They've refunded me the costs, but I can't get it to unlock so now I'm without a phone. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be?
Did you confirm that Rogers has the correct MEI number to that phone?
There are other options online too for getting the unlock code for your phone... since you're willing to spend money for it, you could try one of the respected unlock sites and get the code that way.. there is really no reason why the correct unlock code wouldn't work..

Incorrect SIM unlock code entered

I've bought a new Galaxy S6 and was given an unlock code for it from the place I bought it. However, the code I was first given was incorrect. After contacting the shop I was given the correct code, however, apparently entering the wrong code wrong 5 times blocked the unlock process. The shop told me to go back so that they can reset the "unlock counter", but I would have to wait until Monday. Is there a way to do it by myself?
Thanks.

AT&T M8 - Unlock code not accepted

I have AT&T M8 with WIN10 preview for developers.
I recently ordered unlock code from eBay. Order was processed and in 15 min i got unlock code(s). Two of them to be precise.
Upon inserting T-mobile SIM phone booted up and asked me for unlock code. I typed in first code and got error "incorrect code" and same happen with second code.
I tried each code once more with no success and by that time my counter was down to 6 available tries.
Then I ordered code from different source - HTCUNLOCK.com and received only one code - identical to first one received from eBay purchase.
I decided to try my luck again and rebooted phone with T-mobile card at which point I realized (to my surprise) that unlock counter was back to 10 tries.
My question is did anyone had luck unlocking AT&T M8? What is possibility that WIN10 preview prevents proper code entry? How likely is that two totally independent sources would provide same unlock code (both of them being incorrect)?
Any help or suggestions are welcome, I just want to unlock my phone
Thanks
I sent a request directly to ATT granted the phone i refurbished after it was recycled and given to me. I got an unlock code rather quick. I used two websites prior to going to att's unlock website. One didn't give me a code yet and the other the code did not work. Looks like I'll have to work on getting my money back as the att unlock was free.. who would have thought
I unlocked my AT&T device using this link: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/
I also ordered a code online (sim-unlock.net) and I got the same code as AT&T sent me.
Cheers, T.
