Moving wallpaper? - Samsung Mesmerize

Does any one know how too keep the wallpaper from moving when you scroll through home screens? I would like to keep the image in the middle of the screen no matter which home screen I move to. I am still pretty new to this android fun
Thanks guys!

install an alternative launcher such as launcherpro or ADWLauncher and find the scrolling wallpaper toggle in the preferences and disable it.
If you are still using stock then one of those would be a pretty major UI change to get used to but once you get your Widgets and stuff configured you'll love the added speed and functionality.

Launchers?

Anyone else have a rooted phone but not a new rom and use a custom launcher?
I have tried most of them, but have narrowed it down to Zeam(which i use on my nook color) or Go launcher - what are your favorites? I like the theme options on Go.

What does a new ROM have to do with a custom launcher?
I use LauncherPro. I've heard positive things about GO and ADW.
Nothing specific just that I wanted to make it obvious I do not have a custom rom as sometimes that will change the basic home screen anyway.

Yeah the ROM will also have a custom launcher, but if you put another custom launcher, it will look the same as without the ROM. Doesn't matter if you're rooted, either.
Im using stock deodexed rooted with launcher pro

using spb shell 3d
LauncherPro has been the most stable and snappy for me.

i started using MXHome, it is a regular launcher for the most part with some really nice features. A full 3d home cover along with what MX is calling a "smart" appdrawer. It allows you to put your apps in alphabetical, sort by category and other options. I am currently using the glass theme and it is really nice. Check out this vid on YouTube to see some of it's features in action:

I like this look.
I prefer Go Launcher with the themes and app drawer transition effects and that it has running apps and recent apps tabs in the app drawer.
Using zeam launcher, very nice app and low memory use

Using Zeam Launcher for low memory foot print, and has most of the functions Launcher Pro has.
Go Launcher is no doubt my favorite, nice simple features...everything seems to make sense....and that's after trying Zeam, Launcher Pro, SPB (another favorite but I get tired of the flashiness after a while), and adw is nice also.

Wallpaper question?

I'm new to Android and was wondering if there is anyway to make the lockscreen wallpaper different then the background wallpaper?
Sent with the power of the flux capacitor
you need widget locker from the market to customize your lock screen
Cool just checked it out. Worked great thanks for your help

There's also an application called Lockbot, the free version allows you to change the wallpaper..if that's all you want to do.. . The pay version, not nearly as customizable as widget locker, does give a few more options.
But as far as I'm concerned... Widgetlocker rules.

Customizing my galaxy s2

Hi, i've bought a galaxy s2 and have rooted the phone using android. Currently i'm using villain rom.
I've downloaded Launcher Pro Plus.
But I can't figure out how to customize my apps with custom skins. I tried press and hold to see if that works but no. Only works on the 5 bottom application! Can anyone help me how to customize the rest of the apps.
Thank you
What u mean my apps with custom skin? Did u mean custom icon for ur apps or the apps to suit with ur custom launcher?

Custom icon for my app's!

You have to assign the icon as you add it. Long-press & add shortcut/application that way. Once the icon is on the screen, you can't change it. Just one of the many reasons I chose ADW EX over LP+.
You can also use Desktop Visualizer. If you add your apps as widgets you can change the icons later by opening Desktop Visualizer, selecting menu, then refresh widgets in edit mode. Then you can select the Desktop Visualizer widget you want to change as if you were launching it & you'll be taken to the configuration screen. When you're done editing the icons change back to normal mode by selecting the notification or menu > refresh widgets > normal mode within Desktop Visualizer.
By the way, you didn't have to root to do these things. And in my opinion, ADW (Ex) is a billion times better for customization.

If you want to change icon at ur homescreen, then Yes,can. But if u want to change on app drawer,it hard to do.
For me,im just using Folder Organizer to change icon on the homescreen only.
Other method is using adw launcher.

[REQUEST] Special Launcher for Widgets

I have a lot of widgets and lot of them are fullscreen widgets.
They need a lot of space and a lot of homescreens and switching between that many screes is a hell lot tedious.
I would suggest some developer to try making a launcher with following feature.
Icons for widgets. Click the 1x1 icon to see the full widget.
Others may put their ideas too...

I suggest you make it.

What widgets are you folks using these days?

I have found myself creating only shortcuts to apps lately rather than only using widgets. I always liked the appeal of being able to use the widgets, but it just seems easier for me to use the app shortcuts these days. Only widgets I'm using are weather and clock.
So what other widgets are you guys currently using? Just wanting to know if I am missing out on a cool widget. They are after all one of the things that make owning an Android unique.
