I have tried to install the dark 10 themes but when i do the key bord font change.. my xperia x10i got bricked.. trying again and again to boot but it fails to boot.. my phone is rooted with android 2.1 version.. help me to resolve this issue
you try to remove the battery for 10 seconds
open pc Compain or seus
Reinstall the battery
hold down the back and connects your phone to usb
should reinstall the latest fw
You can always run SEUS and follow the steps to restore latest original firmware.
@piero79 is correct.
er.sivanantham: which version did you have before? I also wants to install Dark10 as my theme but am worried if it'll work since I have 2.1 rooted. Also the pictures for 2.1 instructions Dark10 are not there.

i Rooted my phone using the new superoneclick.
installed busybox succesfully
installed xrecovery succesfully.
tried 100 times pressinf the back button 3 times on the SE LOGO.

The 1 u posted is X10 mini. I din c before i run it. Now my hp cant boot up anymore.
What do you mean HP?
the title says X10? Why would you try it on a HP?
Geeks, please help us
Same prob
Now we know for sure, that xRecovery is dangerous if we don't know how to handle it
i havent met any problem entering the xrecovery menu even when i first installed it even though i was a complete noob on android (now i am just noob)
only thing i was doing is that i never pressed the back button only 3 times, i always keep pressing it until i get the xrecovery menu
Yes, keep pressing the back button until you enter the XRecovery menu.
If it still fails then I would revert my phone to the STOCK SE ROM (basically means repairing your phone using Sony Ericsson's PC Companion or Update Service utility), and then use FlashTool to root the device and install Busy Box and XRecovery.
FlashTool is basically an all in one solution and is less painful to use for beginners. Just do a search for it in the XDA forums.
Hope this helps.
Hey guys i had my phone rooted and with xRecovery and all of the good stuff and with like wolfpacks old Rom, I wanted to reformat my phone and make it clean again with at&t 2.1 firmware after i tried doing it on PC companion... it keep rebooting and rebooting and at first i though it was just installing the update, but now it is just rebooting when the logo pops up it restarts again need help! any ideas?
i think u can go for flashtool easy to find in this forum .daownload it together with the rom + baseband if needed.intruction is all in this forum
Guys , I was on Jelly Sandwich with sirikay's kernel. I had some speed problems with wifi. So I thought of flashing stock ICS Rom ST18i_4.1.B.0.587_Kernel.ftf using uniflash.exe and did it. After flashing it didnt restart. So I clicked the power button to restart manually but just got a vibration sound and nothing else .. just the blank screen. So I searched for stuff about unbricking my device since I thought it's bricked. I downloaded this package "FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick.exe" and started flashing the firmwares. So I held down my volumedown button and connected it to the usb port. It says error and that I have to select usb debugging mode and connect again but I can't even start my mobile.
Plz help .. Thanks in Advance
Try using flash tool!
and flash stock ftf through that.....

Hi
I confirm, just had the same problem while updating a custom ROM.
Get the Stock ftf file for your phone/model then use Flashtool to flash it.
Search the forum for the proper links there are likely to be all there somewhere
Hopefully, your phone will be back to life on a stock version.
And yes, if you want to re-install a custom ROM you need to re-do all the process: root, (optional) unlock Bootloader etc.
Good luck.
PS: I saw a thread saying to use the SEUS to restore the phone to stock. Worth a try but for me it didn't work since SEUS was telling my phone already had the latest version. Fix hard bricked ray
Hello everyone,
Yesterday I've tried to update my Xperia J to the new Jelly Bean firmware, but before that, I've done a full wipe and format system and cache through CWM. After that, I reboot my phone and it never goes after the Sony logo. I've tried to repair it with PC Companion, SUS and Flashtool, but everytime it starts to flash new Rom, the green led goes off and nothing is done.
Is there any solution for this, or should I go to the store and pray that it isn't to expensive to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Its not hard bricked. Its really normal for green light to go off while flashing ftf.Just wait for the flashtool to complete preparing files and then connect your phone in flash mode(green led) after the prompt appears. It will instantly start the flashing process (and yes, the green led goes off as soon as flashing starts so dont worry).
You may also experience a strange problem where the flashtool gets stuck at 0 percent. You can fix that by trying some older version of flashtool.
Good luck

Thanks a lot for your help, I'm really getting stucked at 0 percent at Flashtool. I canĀ“t even repair it with PC Companion, that's why I was afraid that is was an hard brick. I'm going to try with an older version of Flashtool as you've said.
Thanks again.
EDIT: I've tried with an older version of Flashtool and still no luck, always getting stucked at 0 percent. I read somewhere that my problem must be that my phone at this moment don't have any operating system and that probably I couldn't fix it at home. Is this true or is there something more I can do?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Well i used to get this problem with my flashtool.Installing an older version did the trick for me.You can try flashing from some other system

Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
If you got unlocked bootloader then you can fastboot flash fxp kernel followed by the rom itself. This will atleast make your device functional again.

Unfortunately my bootloader is locked.
I will try again, but this time on my computer here at work.
EDIT: Still no luck in another computer. I guess I will need to go to Vodafone Store at the end of the day and see what they can do with my phone.
Good news!!
I've installed PC Companion here on my work computer and it repaired my phone. Probably there's some kind of problem with my computer at home. I'm already flashing Jelly Bean normally with flashtool.
Thanks a lot for your help balboarocky.
Use Flashtool for this

you should download stock kernel, maybe the one from matej. and flash back to stock kernel after using the cwm as xperia j JB has no permanent cwm yet

first I want you to go through this guide :Using Flashtool,
then 2. install the drivers for your xperia j as mentioned in the above guide.
3. if your bootloader is unlocked then try to flash this stock kernel if you were running jelly bean 11.2.A.0.31 : stock kernel by connecting your device in fastboot mode.
if your bootloader is locked then download this stock firmware : 11.2.A.0.31 by connecting your device in flashmode
then Flash this downloaded firmware as mentioned in the above guide.
4.Wait untill flashing completes. start your device when you are told to do so.
Good luck
