Hi to all,
Does anybody know how to change UI language in Google Latitude?
Mine reads regional settings and gives me whole UI in local language, and I prefer it in english.
But there is no way to change the language.
It is so annoying that I am on the verge to uninstall Google Latitude because of that.
Thanx in advance!
Google will per default direct you to your local language. I think it is possible to "trick" it to get you an English version
Just look around at the download page, should be a "change language" option for the download.
Google Latitude
Sorry Snapphane, but you are not right.
I have downloaded Google Latitude using my computer with all english settings.
Also, I tried to change regional settings on the phone, and if the settings US, then the program 'speaks' english. When I change it back to other country, it changes UI language to that country.
I was asking if there are hidden settings (some registry tweaks, maybe) to keep Google Maps (Latitude) using english for UI.
Delete the language files that are in the GoogleMaps folder.
I had the same problem so before installation of GoogleMaps I changed the regional settings to English. After installation I deleted the language files (only kept "gmm_launcher.dll", "gmm_setup.dll" and "GoogleMaps.exe".) and changed the regional settings to my native. GoogleMaps stayed English
Works!
Thank you Bulls-eye1!!!
Well, that was easier than I thought. Nice solution m8, thanks!

Click to collapse
Which one is the language file?
We bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab, but when we go into "Settings -> Locale and Text -> Select locale" the only options we get are English or Spanish.
Is it possible to add any more languages?
Willing to do whatever it takes.
I believe that language depends from roms...i'm not sure..
hello,
my device language is english and i want to change it into hebrew (which is right-to-left language) using "More locale".

I have a canadian version of the S8+ and I want to change the display language
I go to General Management-Language and Input-Language.
There I have some suggested languages and I have the option to add other languages
so I select to add a new language.
For example I select Greek and then I put it at the top.
After that I see that the phone is half translated.
Some of the icons i.e contacts, phone, calendar are translated in Greek but the most important
the Settings is not translated apart 2-3 options.
Just to be sure I delete English and I leave Greek as the only display language and again nothing.
The phone is not fully translated and espeically the settings.
I change the language to German.
I have the same result. Some options in Settings are translated in German but the rest remains in english.
Then I select french.
It seems French is ok. All settings are translated and all basic icons.
Is there a fix for that?
Why do I have half translated display languages?
Do I need to add a special code where the phone will start clean in that particular language?
Hello guys, can you please do a small test?
Please go to Settings -> Language Settings. Then scroll through the list of languages or search for any of these words - "Odia", "Oriya", "ଓଡ଼ିଆ" and select it as the primary default language. Now come back to the settings main menu (of ZenUI6).
Does it still display in English? Or does it change to a language with a curly script?
