Hi there I'm using ADW Launcher app. I updated to 1.3.6 ver. Last night now when I open the app drawer the ADW Launcher app icon is missing also when I'm on my home screen and I hit the menu button I no longer have the option to select ADW settings. However I checked under my managed applications in the settings on my droid x and I do have ADW Lanucher installed some help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks PNLD87 I figured it out a few hours ago. The app icon disappeared after the update I wonder why the dev decided to do that.

How do I add more app shortcuts in the box at the bottom of the screen, by default there is only 3 spaces, how do you add more?
Thanx

go to ADW settings and UI Settings.
Disable DESKTOP DOTS and select SECONDARY ACTION BUTTONS.
That should do the trick
Or you can swipe the app drawer button up to reveal the dock bar.. You can add as many apps as you want to that.

Thanks for the help

how do you get the dock draw back? EDIT: nevermind, i found out, its harder to work out with no app shortcuts in the dock bar.
Also is there a way to scroll down the app drawer like the original Home Launcher?
i believe it scrolls across by default.
found solution.
go into adw settings, > drawer settings > disable horizontal drawer.

ah thanks for that, ive switched from HelixLauncher to this now
Don't no whether its just me again but, I feel that adw launcher drains my phone quicker than the standard home. Anyone else experiencing the same? Or I'm i just being paranoid about the battery life!? :0s lol

I've been using ADW for a while, and helix before that.. And I don't have any concerns about battery drain on adw.

what about the difference of battery time between helix launcher, adw and the built-in home? before update, helix improved the battery dramatically, what about it after firmware update?

"Close and restart" worked for me.
I just can't get the app to work. Does it work with custom icons? I have my doc removed and custom icons in the place, but they're just apps, not through Desktop Visualize or anything. I'm using ADW Launcher Ex and I have all of the "enablers" checked but nothing's happening.

hi guys!
i want to completly remove my dock, and add the app drawer button directly on the homescreen. but i didnt find a shortcut or an activity for this.
using Launcher Pro Plus and Desktop Visualizer.
any ideas?
I don't use LP so I can't help you... but if you want to get really funky and go one step further, you can install Prox without even using a shortcut (as long as you have a proximity sensor).
Not what you asked for I know
wow that looks pretty cool, im gonna play with it
but i think i takes much battery....
Only when the screen is on. I use a Tasker profile to turn my screen off using the proximity sensor. It really doesn't use much battery at all.
kk, i give it a try
thx bro!

I didn't think LP let you remove the dock completely. If you try ADW, you can do exactly that--that"s the way I use it. I specify no dock, five icon rows, and put an app drawer shortcut on the home screen.
sure, I can set the dock (icons) blank. thats all

Got it--I guess you end up with an empty row at the bottom of the screen. Didn't even think of that.
Even better: set your swipe down gesture to hide dock, go to homescreen, swipe down and hide it, then go back and change swipe down to whatever you want to. Presto: no dock!

For me the easiest solution is what I mentioned above. Use ADW and specify no dock in the settings. I'm using Launcher 7 at the moment--no dock there either.

my problem is not the dock...
I want to set the app drawer to the homescreen. and I want to stay on LPP (resize widgets).
I just want the app drawer button "in the middle of the screen".

That's easy then. iirc it's Long press Homescreen/Add Shortcut/Launcher Activity/Open App Drawer.
Or something similar.

I just google it to find how to add app drawer shortcut on launcher pro and find this link. I am using ADW Launcher EX but for some strange reason it can't add widgets over MIUI roms and also do not support MIUI icons, It use it owns icon pack so for that reason I install launcher pro, I can add widgets with it and it uses MIUI icons. Strange case here too no way to add app drawer shortcut
Anyone know how to turn stock task manager into widget?

Yes press and hold on the home screen select widgets scroll to aplication manager and put it on your home screen that is the task manager
I don't see any option for application manager.

Are you using a third party launcher like ADW? I noticed that the "Application Manager" widget only shows on the TouchWiz launcher.

are you rooted and have you deleted it if you are on a stock rom but it may have been removed from a custom rom... actually it is on a home screen by default.
Yeah look .... see you should see that in your widgets
I recently rooted and flashed liquid smooth onto my galaxy s3. Before I rooted it I had custom icons that took up the entire 1x1 grid on nova launcher prime. Now that I have flashed a custom rom my icons are a lot smaller. I'd like to know how to make the icons bigger that take up the whole 1x1 grid. Also when I go into the menu, whenever I press the icon size button, nova launcher immediately crashes. Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
This picture I uploaded is how the icons look now.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
You can change the icon size by going to nova settings/look and feel/ then icon size.
But as I've stated above it crashes on me every time. Would anyone know how to bypass this?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Did you restore nova via a back up? Glitches can develop in apps when restoring them to a new rom. It's best to reinstall and set up from scratch.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
Thanks for the quick reply! I did not restore from a back up because I forgot haha but I was successful in remaking the theme other than the icon size. I would reinstall nova launcher but when I go to the app store or app manager it doesn't give me the option to uninstall

Open apps manager through settings and uninstall it inside or use TB

LiquidSmooth comes with Nova as it's launcher. So to uninstall, you will need to install a different launcher as a temp, then using a root level file browser, delete the Nova Launcher apk file. Should be good to install it from Play store and continue from there.
