Check the FAQ I created -- that link is one of the stickies in my signature. You can definitely reflash back to full stock.
Or here's the direct link to the stock ROM's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842000

i'm guessing you have an i9020A. follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033269
wipe data and cache with cwm, flash the stock rom and stock recovery, and then update to 2.3.4
edit: you can also use a rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13478981
they're unofficial and unsigned though so I don't know if they would work for getting back to stock
Thanks hopon
I installed the stock rom, but when I tried to update he phone, it gives me an exclamation mark and the update won't complete. I have locked bootloader already.
Any help is appreciated!
EDIT Solved
For those interested, download the corresponding update here and flash the update. Clockwork will be gone and your phone is stock (remember to delete files on your SD!)

you could have flashed it through the stock recovery too. i'm really hoping that it was only 2.3.4 that has to be updated in that way. I want to be able to install OTA updates regularly lol
Having a play with my mz601 (uk3g) and want to go back to out of the box stock..
Then bring it back up to Tiamat 222 noting name/build.prop changes etc between stock, hammerhead, moray and so forth..
How can I wipe/format all of the data on the device and then push all the stock stuff back.
Got the retail rom from motodev site, just need to push the 4 img files via fastboot?
I am in a similar position and need some advice please....
I rooted my European (UK) WiFi Xoom the other day and flashed it with the Tiamat Hammerhead build. Alas it did not take and is continually in a bootloop and as such would like to simply return it to stock. I have downloaded the official image from Motodev but when installing from ClockWork Mod Recovery, it aborts the installation process.
Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong or provide me with the idiot's guide to returning the Xoom back to stock?
Many Thanks,
Alty

Did some searching, found the following thread and followed the instructions - can confirm my Xoom is now back to stock Will deffo consider rooting again, just gonna leave it for a bit methinks....
The thread you need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079504
I basically grabbed the stock rom and pushed the img files to the device using fastboot, let the device update as far as it wanted too, I then rooted it, stuck CWM on it and then dropped 222 straight on.
I have kept a copy of all the files this time as well just incase
Hello, I think I need some help guys.
I did a backup through TWRP prior to flashing CM9... but it somehow got corrupted. Now I would like to return to stock and I have no way of doing so.
Is there a zip that someone posted to flash stock firmware from twrp? Can someone post their backup (as long as it doesn't contain any personal data)?
I don't really know what steps to take to return to Asus firmware without the backup.
Well, it looks like I found my answer... I should really learn how to search properly
Anyways, I will try the solution on this thread and see if that resolves my issue. Thanks!
The method I linked to earlier works, but you must use cwm. Twrp will just freeze...

Any reason why you went back to stock man?
Haven't seen anyone post about this (even after doing a Google search), but Verizon has started sending out the OTA today. My question is this: since my bootloader in unlocked, and I'm rooted, can I restore back to my stock ROM and take the update? Is there a possibility that I'd completely lose root? Obviously I'd lose superuser and such, but would it replace my bootloader and custom recovery?
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies. I've been around android for a while now, but I'm new to Samsung phones, and how the bootloaders work. (I'm used to HTC where you S-OFF and you're good to go)

Yup, you can restore back to stock (via nandroid or Odin) and take the update. You should switch back your recovery if you restore a stock nandroid though.

You answered your question, if you lose SU, you lose root. Verizon OTA's will replace your bootloader and custom recovery if you force the install to take through your custom recovery. It should fail initially but I've read around that folks installed the OTA in recovery.
I'll check my wife's phone tonight. If she gets the ota I will pull it from the cache and extract the boot loader and recovery and rezip it and see if it will flash via twrp

Ok thanks for the reply. What do you mean by switch back my recovery? I'm currently on TWRP which is what I rooted with, and I've been using it since. I just want a completely untampered stock OTA of the latest OTA.

I mean, the OTA will fail if you just try to accept it right now. It would also fail if you switched back to your stock nandroid because you still have TWRP installed too. That's how its always been. Switching to the stock recovery, you could use EZ Recovery to do so, would resolve that.
I've read that you can still have a custom recovery installed and successfully take the OTA with a custom recovery installed but idk the exact steps to take to make this happen. Since I have no need for accepting OTA's I try to learn from what people post here.
Edit: Seems my OTA/custom recovery inquiry has been answered pretty thoroughly here (post #10). You could try those steps if you desire too.

Hmmm sounds interesting. I doubt I'd be able to use EZ unlock like I did on ICS... I guess I'll wait for a recovery flashable file.

I'm rooted, unlocked and custom recovery w/stock ROM (odex).
How do I get this update installed and keep root/unlocked/custom recovery in place?
Also want to keep Google Wallet working correctly.

i flashed this and now my phone is stuck on the sprint boot logo and i never made a backup.
ODEXED-NE5-Vol_Nag_Remover.zip
anyway i can fix this?
i was on my stock rom android 4.4.2 with twrp installed
i can still boot to twrp.
can anyone make a flashable of the 4.4.2 framework from stock tw rom please!?
i need to get my stock rom back up and running!
framework.jar & framework.odex
does anyone have these files?
:crying: PLEASE HELP
First things first. Your device is not " BRICKED " . You have several choices here. The two easiest IMO since you did not make a Nandroid Backup are, ODIN back to Stock NE5. Or flash another Rom. Rwilco12's Mostly Stock NE5 is a good choice if you want to stay very close to Stock, but have a few added features.

What stock firmware were you on? Download which ever firmware you have on your phone currently, flash through odin. This will get u to same point your at now but not rooted and no bootloop, so after your done flashing stock firmware, root with method you had used before, everything should be the way it was before, now make a nandroid with you recovery.

What happens when you make a backup? Usually when you make a nandroid, it names the file with what firmware your on. I know its senseless to make a back up, but at least you can find firmware out.
