I just got the g tab and I'm having trouble getting clockwork to work? Downloaded it, extracted it, did the power and volume + thing and when it reboots i see some text breifly in the top left corner... but then it boots normally? I have a captive that is rooted and ive loaded many roms, but this tablet seems to work differently.. how can they call this android 2.2, its nothing like froyo im used to!
Anyone have any advise? I've got to change this rom!
I don't use CWM yet, but will get the ball rolling .
Which CWM did you get and where did you put the eztracted files?

hello all, I am having a bit of an issue. So as you know, there is a new 2.2 version of froyo, so i and my noob self wanted to download it, so i searched on Google on how to do it using Odin, and i did, then next thing i knew i was stuck at the recovery menu because there wasn't a "select" key on the vibrant, so my phone was semi-bricked kinda. but i fixed it by going to the download mode and downgrading my firmware back using Odin, but there was a problem, every time i booted my phone, the "Samsung GT-i9000" logo would show up, then 3 seconds later the "Vibrant" logo would show up, so 2 logos at once, that seems weird and i don't want that. but i really want my phone to be normal again! (and also my phone got unrooted for some reason after i "downgraded") and whenever i wanted my phone to go to recovery mode, you would have to use the i9000 method to get that to work, but obviously i cant use that method because i don't have a middle button on my Vibrant, and i don't want that, so my question is:
How do i make my phone normal again? do i have to use Odin to do that and what files do i have to use to bring it "back"?

I know this was really stupid cause I'm kicking myself right now,but I tried to flash CM7 and didn't flash the update before I rebooted my phone. Now my phone comes on and shows the vibrant screen as usual and goes to the cyanogen mod screen and then goes black after that. I can't get into recovery with the three button method and I have a mac. So I can't use Odin, even though I can get into download mode. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to try and go through the process of ordering a new phone, even though I do have insurance.

I'm a semi noob when it comes to all this, BUT I did thoroughly look over the forums for almost 8 hours now trying to figure all this out on my own, but now I think I may have taken a turn for the worse.
First of all I have a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant 4g. I first rooted my phone successfully using the SuperOneClick, no problem. Then I wanted to use team whiskey's Bionix Frost rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1119986) which I LOVED on my other vibrant galaxy s (not 4g).
I then went to this thread to get CWM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099374) which was placed in all the right folders I believe, BUT here was when the problems started....
I did not run the update.zip file twice... I went in CWM mod (by pressing the volume buttons and power button) and then reinstalled packages and then selected the update.zip....THEN I thought I could go ahead and install the Bionix rom by selecting that zip file..
It unloaded and then went to reboot...but the screen never passed the GALAXY S 4g logo....
so back to the forums I went. I really couldn't find anything that would help except load the old firmware with odin, so I went to http://www.akaskriller.com/free/vibrantflashing1.php and followed his steps..but I think that was a bad move because these files aren't particularly for my 4g
so when I went to flash the original stock (which was 2.1) I think I really screwed it up because it said FAIL when I tried to run it through odin..
now here's the big probem:
I can't get into download mode any longer (by pressing JUST the volume buttons and then usb and then battery). I took the picture and attached it, so now what can I do?
the picture is a cellular mobile phone connected to a yellow triangle with an exclamation point connected by dots to a computer.
please please please help if you can and leave step by step instructions if possible. I would greatly appreciate it, and I know it's stressful reading these things, but I honestly have tried for 8 hours now trying to figure this out on my own, and now I'm asking the community. Thanks!

I have had lots of success installing roms. but this morning i updated build 8 of this

which is a great rom, but my phone will not pass the ATT boot screen now. Can't connect to USB to get adb to send a bootloader command, can't three button in to Clockwork Mod,

I have nandroid backups and can restore the phone is someone could just give me an idea of how to get into Clockwork.
So I still have no idea how to get into the phone. How do you get the phone in a state that the computer will recognize it as a connected device? It's like it's not even there when i plug it in. Although, it does go to the stuck black screen, with a stuck spinning circle icon, instead of the ATT screen.
anyone have any thoughts?
after much reading, ordered a jig from Ebay, hopefully this will get me to my backups and where i can reflash the rom.
well, totally rebuilt the Cappy, now it's running v11 just fine.
So my brother in law just gave me his old galaxy tab 10.1 2, and i'm thinking it's been rooted or something. I was hoping one of you guys on here would be able to help me out. Under Settings - About Tablet it says its' on 4.4.4, Kernel version 3.0.101 SlimKat+. Under Slim Version it says Slim-4.4.4 build.6-OFFICIAL-5268. Under Build number it says slim_p5110-userdebug4.4.4.KTU84P 5268 test-keys.
Now, heres what's wrong. The home key does not work, when you touch it it will highlight, but nothing happens, the only way to get out of an app is to hit the back key enough times until you back out to the home screen. also, the "open apps" key does not work either. I've tried to boot into a recovery to see if it has twrp or cmw installed, but when i hold the power and volume key, it goes into a download mode....no recovery. And as if that were not enough, something is wrong with the wifi and i can't get online to download goo manager. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? I'd like to either fix this rom or install another one, but not sure what to do if it doesn't have a recovery installed.... thanks guys.
