That will bring you back to stock 2.1. Doesn't allow AT&T OTA updates but good enough if you want to then flash up to COG.
Is there a way to restore back to original out of the box that will allow OTA updates? I have Cog and I want to go back to the original ROM but would like it to be fully functional.

you can use Odin to wipe your phone completely back to factory settings. I beleive it even removes root if you need to service your phone under warranty. I did that just recently and then flashed Cognition.

Use the previously mentioned ODIN to flash back to stock. Then download the mini kies program from samsung. Do an update using mini kies and that will bring you up to the most recent ROM stock ROM. I don't know if this will now support OTA updates since there have been no new OTA updates beyond what the Mini Kies will give you.
Got it. So Mini Kies I can download directly from Samsung correct?

That's a bit more of a process on the droid 2 than your average htc phone.
There are detailed instructions on flashing back to stock in the d2 general forum.

Is this the same KJ6 as leak used in Development section? So WiFi stays not on par as on KD1?
I hope not. At least they are releasing something official. Maybe in 89 days we can get source.

I guess before running official update with kies you have to disable/uninstall lagfix at minimum... This will convert file system back to rfs.
I went ahead and let mini kies do its thing.... yes, I odined the kj1 kernel right on top for the voodoo and it works.
sorry for the dumb question, but after upgrading to gb will super one click work to root, and can we just use odin to flash one of the existing custom gb roms without needing to root. im assuming this had the correct gb bootloaders we need. thanks for the help.

Official kies will take care about bootloader... regarding super one click - newest version has claims to be able to root Samsung gb.
or you can apply pre-rooted kernel as champ1919 did.

there wont be a 2.3.7 update. Only 1 device received 2.3.7 officially and that was the NS4G and that was to fix a WiMax issue.

After following suggestion in GPS thread it works pretty good. I did not tested that much yet, but so far I can tell that it locks on 7+ satellites quicker than is KD1.
Hey guys...I have a rooted nexus s currently on Miui. I am wishing to go back to stock so I can get the official ICS rom from Google.
I wish to unroot my phone. I will flash back to my stock rom. Now, because I have all my apps, how do I unroot without wiping my phone? Since I will be unrooted titanium won't work. Would superoneclick work?
So my question is......(once I am back on my stock rom) ....how to I unroot without wiping my phone? Would superoneclick unroot button work? Please help. Thanks.

No...I don't mind if it is still unlock. Infact...I would prefer that ...i just simple want to unroot so I can update to the ota ICS when Google release it

OK, then I suppose you just uninstall superuser and re-flash stock images of everything but data. I wonder if you need to restore /etc/install-recovery.sh? Actually renaming that back to original and rebooting should install stock recovery, but flashing the stock recovery image file will also work.

Why don't you keep it rooted and install rom like any other when it is released? So you don't have to wait for it to roll to your device

Check to see if kies will do the update first, but if not then yeah do that.
Kies software statment : no root to upgrade
Personally I tried and didn't work
I be prefer to installed cwm recovery and take ICS ROM from development is running perfect. That what I have done.
Hi!
I stumbled across this post and was wondering which option I should download if I want to flash to a FP8 Stock ROM from my Tweaked 3.2 (FP5) ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40766145
Is this possible? Or will I have to return to stock FP5 first?
I am using a Droid Charge on FP5 running Tweaked 3.2. I have Clockwork Mod, Superuser, Titanium Backup, and ROM Manager installed. If possible, I would like to be able to flash it using my ROM Manager.
I want to do this to prep for the impending Tweaked on FP8 (and to shut up those OTA update notifications).
http://www.elementalxdesigns.com/ec...lipse-Droid-Charge-FP8-progress-build-4-15-13
Thanks!
You should return to stock ep4 and work your way up through software updates. I think there are 3 in total now. We don't have a stock Odin for fp1 or later.
