ADW Dockbar Stretch? - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

Are there any ADW themes that stretch the width of the tab?
All of mine ive found leave a half inch-ish on either side. Is it a limitation on ADW at this point

Appreciate the response. However, I am not refering the ADW Launcher app in general, but specifically the dock bar at the bottom of the ADW Launcher home screen.
None of the dock bars in any of the ADW themes stretch the width of the Galaxy Tab's screen.

Are you talking about the scrollable dockbar revealed when you hide the launcher buttons, or the AB launcher buttons? On the themes I use the "hidden" dockbar stretches, but the AB launcher buttons leave space to the left and right for me. On the themes I use, there's usually a few pixels space on either side on my droid, but maybe around 1/2 the width of an icon on either side on my tab. Your best bet is probably to check with the dev or with the issues on his github site.

Question about adw launcher

How do I add more app shortcuts in the box at the bottom of the screen, by default there is only 3 spaces, how do you add more?
Thanx

go to ADW settings and UI Settings.
Disable DESKTOP DOTS and select SECONDARY ACTION BUTTONS.
That should do the trick
Or you can swipe the app drawer button up to reveal the dock bar.. You can add as many apps as you want to that.

Thanks for the help

how do you get the dock draw back? EDIT: nevermind, i found out, its harder to work out with no app shortcuts in the dock bar.
Also is there a way to scroll down the app drawer like the original Home Launcher?
i believe it scrolls across by default.
found solution.
go into adw settings, > drawer settings > disable horizontal drawer.

ah thanks for that, ive switched from HelixLauncher to this now
Don't no whether its just me again but, I feel that adw launcher drains my phone quicker than the standard home. Anyone else experiencing the same? Or I'm i just being paranoid about the battery life!? :0s lol

I've been using ADW for a while, and helix before that.. And I don't have any concerns about battery drain on adw.

what about the difference of battery time between helix launcher, adw and the built-in home? before update, helix improved the battery dramatically, what about it after firmware update?

"Close and restart" worked for me.

Can I make the icons bigger on my Nexus One with Froyo?

Ie, bigger icons and less space between them.
Yes, I did the search and read the answers and nothing that I can find. I'm happy with the icons but I want them bigger and less wasted space.
THanks
George
Are you allowed to bump posts which I just did?
Have you tried http://www.appbrain.com/app/lcd-density-changer/com.beansoft.lcd_density_changer ?
No but looking at it, it seems it's doing the opposite of what I want.
Thanks though
George
You can resize icons with launcher pro

No you can't.
im looking for this as well.the only thing that i don like about android its icon size.yesterday i installed miui and saw that it had larger icons than stock android icon size it looks wicked.i tried lcd density changer but didnt like it coz its not compatible with some programs.widgets or something are so long way.you must resize and put the widgets one by one.
Use Desktop visualizer...?
And you can resize with launcher pro, if you have the plus version.
how do you resize icon with the plus version? I can't seem to find that option anywhere..
Download "Multicon" from the market then find out how.

You can't resize icons in LauncherPro Plus, you can only resize widgets. Besides, I think this person wants to make their icons bigger yet keep them within the restraints of a 1x1 area.
Multicon can do that. Just select one column by one row and select your app.

[Q] Dockbar widget

I'm looking for a widget that will let me put multiple icons on it and scroll through them. Pretty much exactly like the ADW launcher dockbar but full-size icons and can be placed anywhere.

Launch-x pro or free. the pro is $.99 and has more options. check out the free one first

Scrollable apps widget?

Im wondering if theres an app like launch-x where you can have a 4x1 widget with a list of apps in it but where you can scroll through the pages instead of button press like on launch-x.
I think you can do that only with sweeter home which has horizontal and vertical scrolling of widgets and other great functions but it is a pain in the @ss to configure. Also i don't remember if it is paid or free app but i think it's paid.

Ill take a look at that one.
Hope a standalone app comes out that does this
Actually folder organizer can do that if you configure properly, but it can only show 4 or 5 icons in a row, which is a drawback

[Q] Alternative Launcher

Hey all,
I have always been a fan of other home launchers like launcher pro and go launcher.
What i have noticed though is that they are not "tabled optimized".
With that i mean that you still have the dock like you have on your phone and the icons and widgets are much smaller.
Is there a way to get one of them working the same way as the default launcher?
I like the sizes and i don't need the dock, only thing i do want is the extra options which the alternative launchers provide and i do believe they are smoother than the default launcher.
Thanks!
Try ADWLauncher EX. It's tablet optimized, has a ton of options and the launcher bar can be hidden or not used if you want.

i often get that when i wake my TF that it laggs al little or needs to reload all the widgets and icons.
I want to see if this is due to the default launcher by using a different launcher.
But all the other launchers have smaller icons, have the dock, have other widget sizes, and the app list is ugly!
so far i tried LP, ADW, GO.
None have the same sizes as the default one, so i was wondering if this can be adjusted with some simple settings..
As far as I know you can't adgust the size of the icons on the dock. I also wanted to do this but was unable to. As for resizing all other icons, go into the ADWLauncher EX settings > Icons > New Icons Settings > Icon Size and you will be given a slider to adjust the icon sizes.
Most widgets can be resized using ADWLauncher EX. There are some that will not resize despite what you do.

Not the answer i was hoping for
so i guess i will have to wait until one of them makes a tablet version the wait i want it
or seem to find out why my launcher lags or needs to reload everything.
Maybe its prime.
I use desktop visualizer app to resize my icons. You can download PNG files from Google or Bing to create custom icons as well. Works well with adw ex. You can have your icon take up the whole screen if you really want to.

ADW EX has The ability to use larger icons. Its in asd settings/ui/icons. Then just check the box for the density hack. Makes the icons the same size as the asus launcher. ADW is what I use and it is a huge improvement over the stock launcher IMHO. For those looking to hide the dock and expand the desktop area it does that to. You just need to select that in the main dock settings, then in the new hidden dock settings disable that to and presto no more dock.

I personally like the hidden dock. I just swipe down and it goes away, swipe down again and it comes right back. Kind of like touchwiz mini apps.

With Folder Organizer app, you won't ever need to go to app list. Just add the container labels to the Home screen or notification area. App Organizer is an alternative from the same developer.

i tried it out its not that great. It lags realy badly and also costs 15$
Having purchased SPB shell 3d for my phone, I've tried it on my Asus as well. Performance is OK but I don't like that you can see parts of the adjacent screens. Not running it right now on either phone or tablet.
After it's last update, I think ADW blows everything else out of the water. It's really nice.

I don't have any lag issues with ADW EX on my Transformer. It makes it as smooth as (if not smoother) than iOS... I recently showed and iPad 2 owner my Transformer and he absolutley loved it - couldn't believe how smooth everything was...
