missing textures in games - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I own a toshiba ac100 with a tegra 2 graphic processor. I runs without problems games like fruit ninja, minigore raging thunder 1.
But when I tried to run other games such as need for speed shift or the sims 3 it only shows white and grey textures. I think tegra 2 is enough powerful for these games.
What do you think the problem is?
Waiting for answers.

I have the same problem, i'm with Galaxy S.
games like Asphalt5, The sims 3 and Avatar HD are unplayable cause of missing and white textures.

Can OMAP4 devices run "Tegra zone" games?

Hey guys,
Before making a decision to hold on on the Atrix for the Optimus 3D, I was wondering, will the Optimus 3D (with its OMAP4) and SGS2 (with its Exynos) be able to run Tegra Zone games, or were the Tegra games "coded" with an entirely different chip architecture in mind?
I know OMAP4 is probably the fastest of all three, but then I don't want to find out the "Tegra zone" games were only 'written' for Terga 2 chips...
Most of the Tegra Zone games will be available on Market.
Those will definitely work.
Don't think that there will be many, if any exclusive Tegra only games, since the market is too small to make a profit.
Tegra Zone games on:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/tegra-zone.html
Backbreaker
Dungeon Defenders: First Wave Deluxe HD
Fruit Ninja
Galaxy on Fire 2
Monster Madness
Samurai II: Vengeance
Vendetta Online
Hardwood Solitaire IV
Hardwood Spades
These require tegra 2, others playable on any fast phone:
Galaxy on Fire 2 (did not find it on Market)
Monster Madness
Vendetta Online (tablet only)
Hardwood Solitaire IV (card game, wtf?)
Hardwood Spades (card game, wtf?)

Not sure, it may be a legal thing, someone needs to buy the rights or something.
Either way, there are already PS1 emulators that can run all games, not just the few that has been announced in the PS Suite.

qhd games ? 540x960

there is games for 540x960 ?
basically any game you buy from Gameloft via phone browser .. so far i've tested Asphalt 6 HD, Dungeon Hunter 2, Asassins Creed 2 HD, Avatar HD, Prince of Persia HD, UNO HD, Angry Birds (freeware) there are also some shooters, one is called something like N.O.V.A or whatever, but iam not realy into shooters. Theres one small, yet annoying (at least for me) problem with games from gameloft, if uou buy it you'll get like 100MB installer which one will download additional usualy 750MB-1GB and since gameloft dwnload speed suck monkey tralala, its like pain in ass and takes ages.
all the Gameloft games are gorgeous graphics wise.
like they say on their ads, very polished.
Angry Birds look great as well. especially Rio.
not sure any of them are native qhd resolution but they look great.
Now that the Samurai II Vengence has support for qHD displays in version 1.01 i recommend u buy it aswell, very nice game with brilliant graphics
Cut The Rope, great game, beautiful in QHD, even nicer than on my iPhone4
and a not well know but my most preferred game, Nano Panda, gooorrgeous.

Yes... Street Fighter 4 works perfectly with the Qualcomm plugin of Chainfire3D and GB 2.3.6. Absolutely no lags or white background. Street Fighter 4 does not work on ICS. This is not a limitation of the ATRIX 2 however, but a compatibility issue with the game itself.

Is there any way to run tegra games on the atrix? If there's so, can you teach me?

There is a way actually as I remember playing Samurai II: Vengeance THD (Tegra version) a few months back on my ATRIX 2 device. You will need the Chainfire3D app along with the nvidia GPU plugin for it to work.
I suggest buying a Tegra3 device if you can afford. Very high end is Tegra territory. The Optimus 4x HD is available for a sweet price, after the launch of the Nexus 4.
Atrix 2 is capable. I guarantee it will run most games (non-tegra), but, it is not something that will last. If you were asking this same question 8-9 months back, I would've suggested you to go for it, but, not now.

FIFA, NBA Y2K 2013, 2014, Etc.

Anyone noticed that one s can't play some of the more graphic intense games like FIFA and NBA Y2k? Other phone like Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 which has a slow CPU but had a more updated GPU can play the about games. I wonder is it because of the GPU. Anyone got any ideas?

I didn't try these games, but I can play Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3, Nova 3 and Modern Combat 4 smoothly with graphics set to max. Almost no lag when playing.
Which rom are you using ?

Well, i can't even found those games in the Google Play market. I assume must be the compatibility issues. I am using the stock one that come with the phone. I haven't changed anything.

Which Android version is installed on the phone? I played those games and some more graphic intense one real racing 3 and gta san andreas almost without any lag at maximum graphics. I was both on 4.2.2 with Sense 5 and 4.4.2 vanilla and didn't experience any problems. The GPU inside the One S is quite capable even in 2014
Mine's fine just get's it just heats up loads when playing!
Me too, I'm very angry with it. Why should htc one s have not these games while other devices less powerful can play them??
