Do you know some good email app working on the Tab (ie at the Tab resolution)
I come from WM 6.5.5 (with Sense) and I find it difficult to like the default email app... Did someone try Improved Email ? Installs well on the Tab ? Something else to suggest ? I miss the color arrows in outlook showing whether emails had been answered or forwarded. I miss also the ability to select several emails at the same time (For deletion or moving to some folder), etc, etc...
I think that Profimail is a good program. You find it on Market or in lonelycatgames pages. There is a 30 days free trial.
best one for free so far is K-9
it has imap idle (push)
K-9 too. The best one ;-)
That's because you have not tried Z Mail from Seven...

Can it do push ? I have an exchange account so K-9 is not really worth it for the moment...

Mail2web is not going to offer free Active Synch from May 1st 2009! Is there any other free option?
mate i would suggest your to purchase "profimail" from Lonelycategames.. and use gmail IMAP
this way you can get instant email within few sec and also html email support..
there are other couple free exchange email companies but most of them provides under 250mb space and with very few options.. i will reply back as i will find those links again
Thanks for the suggestion, problem with Gmail is that it doesn't synch your contacts with Outlook, at least not yet.
But do let me know... thanks again.
no i mean use gmail with profimail as imap.. it will better than any exchange account very fast. with html support if email is your main concern
why you don't try flexmail, or if you love gmail, go get java gmail mail client its fRee
Hmm...I would have to forward all my mail to that one Gmail account then! This is what I do now direct everything to mail2web. I have no issues with the mail part, gmail is great and I am sure Profimail will be too, only there will be no contacts synching! I am not so bothered about calendar and tasks since I don't use them. But contacts backing up on the web is great. I might have to use My Mobile from Windows then.

I would like to avoid using 3rd party software and rather stick to the built in Outlook, which for my purpose is enough. And the Java gmail is quite buggy for the Windows Mobile. I have 60 days before I have to start paying for mail2web so the hunt will go on...

yes profimail is great
it has today screen option too.. you can hide it also so it will working hiddenly and send you alert about new emails.. I am using this method with myself .. I am using Xperia.
If you are worried about contacts than you can use pim backup software which is free i think which will backup your calender and contacts to your memory card
in no way i am affiliated with Lonelycat games but so far it has been great for me
Hi i was wonder is there a email apps like HTC VIVID? gmail, yahoo, hotmail all in one email apps.
K-9 mail works great

K-9 is a great "free" email app for Android but if you don't mind dropping some money for an email app you can check out Kaiten Email which is a more supported and refined version of K-9. Also, I was lucky enough to get Enhanced Email when it was Amazon's FAOTD and I think it adds more features but also a higher price tag, but I have had no issues with any of them.

I have enhanced email but I like the stock better, I only wished it had the check marks so I can delete multiple email from the list w/out having to open like the enhanced email.
One thing to note...
The enhanced email developer is really interested on people's opinion.
That is a good thing!
I expect a couple of updates to this program soon.
I tried stock & K9 and found Enhanced Email works best for me after fixing a few default settings.
I've got an EE widget pasted on my lockscreen so I can see how many new emails I have without having to log into the phone.

K9 was probably more powerful & had more options. But was just too flakey.
And missing a couple critical (to me) features that made no sense why it didn't have them.
edit: Enhanced Email is flakey with Hotmail & Live (at least with settings I'm using). It's flawless with Gmail and Yahoo though. Still using & loving it.
Also, there is no option to mark email as "SPAM".
I use K-9, but was wondering what were the critical features you wanted?

K-9 does outlook exchange 2010 yet
Is there anything to auto delete bulk mail?
Looking for suggestions on what the best email program is for mail received via a POP server? Enhanced Mail? Maildroid?
I am sick of the stock email client randomly deleting messages when downloading with option to leave on server.
Iv'e been using Enhanced Email for a long time now, after i tried all the mail apps i could find.
Kaiten Email is very nice and looks good, but i find it to be to complicated.
MailDroidl is to expencive.
K-9 is free, but not as good as Enhanced Email.
Moxier Mail and TouchDown has many funcitons but is also to complicated like kaiteien.
That's just my opinion ;-)
I'm looking for a mail app which use exchange (i don't want push but interval connections) and with good features. The stock sense 3.5 is quite good but not very ergonomic (deleting mails for example). And when deleting mails, they stay on my gmail account so it's a little bit annoying because i have to delete twice.
Maybe some of you have found a pearl unknown ?
Thank you
Moxier mail, however it's quite costy...
Tried K9 Mail?
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium
... and there's also Kaiten Mail, let's say 'paid version of k9'.
Thank you for your advices.
I tried K9 Mail a few weeks ago but it didn't please to me more than that.
I've tried it again this morning and finally, after learning it, it is very parametrable and i will use it daily.
K9mail is rocks and ruled! It's so simply an useful; try it.
what email app is widely used as a replacement for the standard one from Android ?
I just use the gmail app.

ehm gmail app is only for gmail I guess I wonder what more general-use email app many ppl use (and like). It needs to connect to my own email server (POP3) etc.
Kaiten Mail.
Besides the native e-mail clients pre-installed on my phones/tablets and K9 this is the only mail app I ever used.
IMO the best.
Every other app I tried had a few flaws I didnĀ“t like.
Kaiten is my choice.
Enhanced email : it's support pop3, imap and exchange
Only con's : interface is not still adapted for ICS (no dual pane like gmail)
Kaiten is in fact the best, has all the good features, but there's no free version.
K9-mail isn't tablet adapted, made for vertical view, doesn't have dual panel view (most efective on tablets).
Other option is MailDroid, it's free, has all the goodies including dual panel viewing.
Thanks for all the suggestions. More are always welcome ofcourse.
Check the options and help in the gmail web interface. I have it fetching mail from 2 accounts and sending using their SMTPs. Not synced with the accounts though, so mail not removed there, nor sent mail stored except in gmail.
You may want to look into Moxier for Tablets and there is one other that has a tablet-specific version of all apps (Email, tasks, calendar, etc)... They are not free, but have free demos available (2 week fully functional demos) - I always end up back with the stock apps for one reason or another though... But, if you need to sync tasks, etc with Outlook, they are a nice option since there is no tasks app in Android by default....
