Running CM6.1 Final and connected to corporate Win2003 Exchange (cannot change that)
All of a sudden, I am getting my battery to discharge in 4 hours. It used to work for almost 2 days with the low voltage kernel.
If I disable Sync and/or the account, the battery dissipation goes back to the 2 days.
When it is chewing through the battery and getting really warm in the process. What I see is this in logcat. Can anyone suggest things I can try. I have no problems going and hacking at Email.apk, if I know where to look

Anyone else use Aldiko with one of those CM releases?
I'm noticing that when you exit the book and return it returns to the beginning of the chapter which isn't normal behavior here. I don't know if it did this with the stock N1 or not but I know it isn't supposed to reset to chapter beginning nor did that happen on the G1.
It does not do that on my stock N1, but I haven't used cyanogenmod to see if the behavior changes directly due to that.

It's what I'm kind of thinking is the X factor causing this.
im getting the same behavior. i recall aldiko working fine for the day i had my nexus before rooting it.

I've had it do that for a while, then on the last upgrade I did a wipe and fix permissions. Might want to try uninstall/reinstall before trying a wipe.
Hmm. Tried wipe reinstall and all that. I'm not so much annoyed as curious what would cause that in a custom ROM.
Mine has same issue, hope it will be solved soon.
Have you emailed the author of the app? Why just sit around and hope it eventually gets fixed?
On mine, with CM 5.0.3, it messed up the book titles on the first screen, where it shows the recently opened books at the top. When I click on the actual bookshelf, it's fine. Not sure about the chapter thing, though...
It worked fine when I first got my nexus one.
Then when i rooted and installed a baked rom it went to **** resetting chapetrs after close.
On my N1, Aldiko has always reset to the beginning of the chapter. I have only recently rooted my phone and installed CM on it, and the app still resets to the beginning when I exit out. I always thought it was supposed to do that and it was quite annoying to have to remember to save a bookmark every time I finished reading.

I don't think this is app's issue cause aldiko worked well with stock rom. When I root the phone and install Cyanogen 5, the issue came.

I wish I checked the logs when this was happening. I suspect it has something to do with write access to save a default bookmark. Did the wipe help? Other things to try is recovery > others > fix permissions and wipe > dalvik cache

I don't think it'll solve the issue, cause everytime I upgrade Cyanogen ROM, I always do wipe data and dalvik cache.
same here, just wrote to customer support...

Why did you assume I hadn't? I was trying to see if it was a problem with Android 2.1 or Cyanogenmod.

I did get a logcat of it and sent it to the developer. I don't know if it was helpful or not This is what I sent:

+1.
I've tried other roms, here is my result:
With Enomther 1.7.1 and stock rom: Things are ok, Aldiko starts with the page which I read before, not the chapter; the book titles are ok.
With Cyanogen 5.x and CyanogenMod rom Bakedgoods: There are issues, Aldiko reset at the beginning of the chapter, the book titles on the recent read look like you said, can't see it.
Sorry for my bad English

The search percentage stays at 0 and it never seems to find anything because perhaps the search task is getting killed?
People have posted the same issue with getting Facebook to sync... I'm wondering if there's a way to fix it and make the settings a little less aggressive, or perhaps to tell it that if a process uses a massive amount of memory for a couple minutes, then kill it... not immediately like it seems to be doing now.
i think its too weak...although i do agree it clutters logcat
i know where its at, lemme find it
the lowmemkilsker is in sys/module/
I have a solution to this but it won't be released for a few more weeks.
Until then you'll have to echo different settings into it yourself or download an app from the market that will do it for you.

I'm running VR12 and I'm using ADW instead of Rosie (Rosie is only there to allow the USB connect dialog to function properly). I installed the FB app from the market and configured it to never update, only manual update when I want it.
How come I'm still seeing these unresolved api.facebook.com messages?
This is with wifi and 3G disabled.
Thx,
Xlilo
I'm noticing the same thing...my phone Awake Time = Up Time with the new FB app...
This is for the new FB app. My problem was still with the old one... And was not a wake lock issue...

I am having a really lame problem with my nexus s and cm7 rc1. Sometimes when the phone boots up, setcpu does not get superuser permission and just hangs. The superuser app shows that setcpu has root permission, but i know it doesn't in some random instances of booting up because of it not fully loading and just hanging. This is the same behavior of any app waiting for root permssion. Is there a lower level that I can set root permission instead of useing the Superuser app to set it?
After looking at logcat when trying to run setcpu and having it hang...i'm not sure if it is a permissions issue or not:

It seems that the method tryAcquireEglSurface() is ran and has something to do with executing in root.
Can anyone help?
Also, is this the right forum for this or could this go into Development?

I am having a really lame problem with my nexus s and cm7 rc1. Sometimes when the phone boots up, setcpu does not get superuser permission and just hangs. The superuser app shows that setcpu has root permission, but i know it doesn't in some random instances of booting up because of it not fully loading and just hanging. This is the same behavior of any app waiting for root permssion. Is there a lower level that I can set root permission instead of useing the Superuser app to set it?

I only had the issue with this on bfs kernels. I say reflash the cfs kernel and the run fix permission before you reboot.
Hello,
So I have the latest xenonhd rom, I've restored all my other apps with Ti, but for some reason I can't login gtalk... (after Ti backup suggested to reboot and since then its not logging in)
Is there some sort of conf file to clean or re-install the app....
Thanks!
EDIT, more info from adb logcat....
