Err, you do know that caps lock is one of the easiest ways to encourage folk to troll/flame you, right? You may wish to lay off of that or cut back on your caffeine in the future.
That being said, yes, there are complaints about the way Samsung did a few things with the galaxy S line, like using a terrible file format system and neglecting to use working GPS hardware. However, I can tell you that my Focus is really fantastic to use, and is working great, so I'd imagine that the upcoming Nexus S will work great as well. As always, pay attention to the bits of reviews that talk about the parts that are important to you, instead of blindly following the overall opinions of another gadget fanboy. The smartphone is one of the most personal items you will ever own, and you need to make sure that you are looking for what matters to you.

My friend pl
U can use YouTube for comparison of both phones.it will give u more info and I Think GPS problem is only thing to bother with nexus s otherwise best phone IMHO
lg optimus one

Most negative things about Samsung has to do with their slow or lack of ability to update their devices. I have a Samsung Epic and love it. Now the Nexus S is a different breed from the other Galaxy S line up in the update department because Google is in charge of rolling out updates to it. It will be among, if not first, to receive updates to the OS. So that being said, Samsung and their ability to not roll out updates will not effect the Nexus S. You should be happy with the Nexus S, untill dual core processors come out next year such as the LG Star.
Sent from my shoe, I mean....Epic shoe... I mean Samsung Epic! http://mobilehighway.blogspot.com/

Worst experience with the galaxy S is that hummingbird processor of theres is screwy. I work for T-mobile and have a friend who works for verizon. We both have people come in all the time talking about their phone running very slowly. It seems like the buffer is overrunning and sadly Samsung expects people to ride em down til they're non-functional before they'll replace that. Hummingbird is certainly not the best, it's as unstable as they come. That and the lack of updates but since the Nexus S is a google phone you wont have to worry bout that part

It simply comes down to the lack of updates. I currently own the Fascinate (only Samsung product I own) and have been happy with it other than the inexistent to no support for this phone.
I just take it as a lesson and not upset at all. I've already moved on to other products other than Samsung and will never buy another product from them again. Live and learn I guess.

The Pron you can get on samsung is of the same quality that you get on other phones. Cheap, nasty and badly acted. In other words 5 stars.

Would you still want to keep your Nexus S after CES?

There will be new phones announced at CES coming this January. Will you be loyal to your Nexus S after seeing all the second generation phones? In example the dual-core processors, the new 4g headsets, honeycomb tablets, and etc.
I still would want to get one, yet the thing I don't know after I would still want to.
Thanks.
Yes, I will have this phone until the next Nexus device.

Can we please please please stop this
Be right back, let me get in my time machine...
Can we get the mod to ban anyone else that starts a post with a totally negative feel. There can be nothing positive or constructive about a needless post like this... The phone is quality, we are very happy, now you have your answer;/

Largely just bad timing, mate. We had a string of trolls roll through here lately making threads along the lines of yours. Plus this topic in general has been discussed to death in a number of really, really great threads.

truth is, nexus s came very late. to an end of an era. nexus S, desire HD, desire Z. all of those are very best. but the very best of old technology.
new phones coming up. some early Jan, some in mid of next year and some at the end of next year. this is very typical.
the smart thing is to know what do YOU really need ?
people who bought the nexus S didnt buy it for its super power. Nexus S isnt the most powerful phone . hell desire HD has more ram in it. they only bought this phone because they are sick of lag fixing, waiting for months and months to get a decent firmware update. Samsung / Sony ericsson / HTC are **** when it comes to updating their firmware " specially Sony, f**k you Sony with your 1.6 firmware on a 2010 phone and waiting till the end of 2010 to finally get 2.1
The people here don't want this. they bought an android for their software not hardware. as far as i can tell. i dont know one game or application that doesnt run super smooth on desire HD/ Nexus S. till the new games/Apps starts to lag and perform bad on these devices, then its the day people should start looking for new phone.
if you are already a nexus S owner, then its stupid to waste your money on a new device that you wont get advantage from it software side. UNLESS there is a hardware feature you wanted on the phone. like for the example the new LG phone has HDMI out and 1080p Video recording. if YOU need that, then yeah the phone is good. BUT if you buy the phone thinking software wise the phone is better, then you are wrong and wasting money.
I donot see another Stock android experience coming any time soon..and personally having a dual core phone means nothing if you are running outdated software

Actually, it is the most powerful phone atm. 768MB RAM isn't power. 90 million triangles on stock Gingerbread is power. Not that the Desire HD isn't super fast either. Just the Hummingbird is currently unmatched except for the Tegra2 which hasn't truly debuted yet and isn't necesarily "better".
Tmobile has to be getting something great for me to even begin to decide
until we all stop replying to this kine of threads and non-sense posts, this is going to continue on and on... Just ignore and ignore as I been doing, until we get some good moderator on this Nexus S area.
I just want T-Mobile to get better coverage
Sent from my Nexus S
If Verizon announces a Galaxy S type device (ie., SAMOLED screen that's 4" or 4.3", with a top end CPU and GPU, and the large 1GB ROM space for apps) with Gingerbread, and due out by March, I am all over it and the Nexus S will go back to Best Buy. If it's not LTE, I'd still consider it, but only because I just am not 100% happy with T-Mobile and AT&T service, and really would like a Verizon network device.
To those griping about "not another thread like this"...do everyone a favor and give the thread a 1-star rating and DON'T RESPOND. The bad threads will sink to the last pages of the forum and you won't have to see them. Keep responding with pointless "stop this kind of posts" posts and they'll just keep bubbling up to the top.
Along those lines, it would sure be nice if XDA had an IGNORE THIS THREAD feature to permanently keep bad threads out of your sight. I've asked/suggested for that feature in the general forum area, but no interest or responses.

especially since gingerbread isnt supporting dual core processors as of yet. Can you imaging a sweet sweet captivate 2 with touchwiz 7 running dual core on 2.1? I can.(Sarcasm)
I'd keep NS especially I have several top phones (N900, nexus one, MT4, NS) already.

The main difference is going to be your update frequency (IMHO), but custom roms can fix that problem. Bounce around the two forums and see which you like better, head up youtube and watch review videos, check out the development going on for each, then make an educated decision as to which is best for you.
That's about all the input I'm interested in giving before echoing slowz request.

[Q] Nexus S better dans GT-I9000?
Hi everyone.
I was wondering something about this new Nexus S....
I'm currently the owner of a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M From Bell in Canada.
Today at CES 2011 they said that the Nexus S will come to Canada.
I got 4 replacement for the GT-I9000M since August (in fact since october). The internal Memory Failed, The battery life was poor, 3 button recovery was not enabled, GPS innacurate, Hard time connecting it to my computer and all the stuff said in bad about this phone I got it.....
Since the Nexus S is almost the same (hardware speaking) I was wondering if all the bugs that the SGS suffer from was happening with the Nexus S?
Is the Partition Table is the same?
Do Internal Memory Fail once again?
Is there any issue with Recovery mode?
GPS problems?
Poor battery life?
Any Lag issue?
I really enjoy my SGS when it's not failing but the Nexus S attract me a little more since it got 2.3 and update straight from Google instead of waiting after the carrier "testing" the new rom...
So anyone having or tested both phone or can speak with experience in here?
Thanx
One of the main reason I don't want to get any trouble with the phone is that Samsung got the worst customer service ever seen in electronics (home appliances, tv, phones)...
so the less I have to deal with them the best it is.
Samsung said they are open the put it on the AWS network in canada so if the phone is good, this could be the phone that will make me switch from Rogers to Videotron
No offense, but you're asking in a Nexus S forum what phone we'd prefer. Most of us own a Nexus S. So what do you think the answer is going to be?
Frankly I am not sure why you are having so many problems. I have an SGS for work and it works great. I bought the Nexus S to replace my G1 and it's like a dream compared to my G1. You could always get one and try it out. If you don't like it, return it.

In fact the same thread is on the GT-I9000 Q&A forum. I want to see on both sime your opinions.
But I was thinking that maybe someone here had or also have the GT-I9000 as secondary or previous smartphone. So I could get some feedback and difference

I have both. GT i9000 was my main phone from July until I got the Nexus S.
They're both fine pieces of hardware.
Software-wise, the GT i9000 was a train wreck out of the box. The Samsung RFS file system introduces significant lag to the phone. I know some of the later "leaked builds" of Sammy firmware seem to have addressed this, but I'm not sure if you bought a new one that you'd get it. That means to make the i9000 a pleasurable user experience you must root it and put in custom kernels and "lag-fixes". If you're into that kind of thing, lots of support and options. If you're not, you will definitely prefer the out-of-the-box performance of the NS.
I much prefer the Nexus S physically. It looks and feels better. Has a bit more heft and doesn't feel like I'm going to drop it as much.
I prefer the standard four capacitive buttons on the NS, but miss the trackball of the N1 or physical home button of the SGS. On the SGS the home button is just like the iPhone button in that it will wake the device from sleep...only the power button does that on the NS.
The power button on the NS is a bit easier to hit one handed than on the SGS for some reason.
As I said, they're both fine phones. If you're a ROM flasher, then there are only two real determining factors in my mind that you should consider.
The first is how important is it to you that you have Google's flagship phone that is most likely to get software updates to the base OS fastest (if that's important the Nexus S is your choice).
The second is which network do you want to use, and which phone supports the best 3G speeds on that network. In the US, if you want AT&T 3G service, you must pick the i9000; if you want T-Mo 3G you must pick the Nexus S.
I'm not a huge fan of T-Mo as my primary carrier, so the SGS still has some allure to me, but if network wasn't an issue (ie., there was options for AT&T or Verizon Nexus S and i9000) then the Nexus S would be a no brainer!
Hello!
I've read all the comparison out there and I haven't really decided which one should I buy. I've read the hardware is the same but the benchmarks tests are showing different (the nexus always win?) Is the screen on the nexus worse due that it's not gorilla and that it is S-LCD ? I've heard that galaxy S has many lags and such, so my question is does nexus s have any "known bugs" ?
I really appreciate your answers!

Nice resurrection of a 9 month old thread...
The nexus will benchmark and generally run faster/smoother thanks to it's native EXT4 file system. The screen isn't worse, it's just more fragile than gorilla glass (though neither is likely to withstand a hard enough fall).
Get the Nexus. SGS has a slow moviNAND memory on which the app data partition is. Thats why it's laggy like ****. 2.3* brought improvement in RFS, so the conversion to EXT4 (lagfix) ain't needed/doesn't make a difference. Maybe it doesn't show that much, if you don't install many apps, but when comparing SGS and NS side by side, everyone could noticed that lag on SGS. GPS is also worse and the build quality.
Maybe only thing I *could* miss is the AMOLED from SGS (on SLCD now), but on the other hand, AMOLED sucks balls on the sun, SLCD is much better. And that kinda is more important, then the black blacks.
Who cares what the HW specs tell you, or the benchmarks. It's hard to actually rate the phone, since no one can tell you the quirks of a device, if he ain't an experienced and technical knowledgeable user.
I know what I'm talking about, since I went from Desire to SGS in June, now I'm ****ing happy I could sold it and buy the Nexus. Everything works like a charm here, no need to flash 923 ROM's and fixes or whatever. I was constantly "improving" my SGS over 3 months, since I was never happy with it. Check the SGS forums, full of posts "how to improve that", "lagfix", "thisfix", blabla. Here on NS forums, it's rather dull (thank god).
Hope that makes your decision easier.
Thanks for your opinions! I bought the Nexus S today and it's awesome compared to my old Omnia II (če bi vedel, bi mi lahko kar po slo. povedal heh )
P.S. Just ignore the words in brackets, because I am from the same country as madd0g.

[Q] best phone to get in the next 3 months?

Looking to upgrade from my Tilt2; (exchange email/calender/contacts auto-sync is important). Also important, GPS, phone usage(lol), internet browsing, typing for texting, and emails. Camera.
My initial choices (carrier ATT)
Infuse 4g (4.5")
Galaxy sgII 4g and dual core processor, and android 2.3(4.3")
` - after September 18th for AT&T I hear
or wait for a future phone:
I.E.
Nexus Prime? (October? worth the wait? and why?),
Google?,
HTC Titan (windows O.S.)?,
Other's on the near Horizon?;
etc.
I'm not an Apple person, lolol.
I don't want to bite the bullet on yesterdays technology if something is 2-3 months away (since I will wait 2 years for another upgrade); I don't believe LTE will take hold until another year or two anyway, so that will be a good time to upgrade again.
Any insight or opinions are appreciated.
First off, someone can't tell you the best phone to get. Everyone is different and sees things differently. One thing that you see necessary and better than something else, could very well be a different view than someone else has. That's why carriers make different phones. Not everyone will like, for example, Sammy's Galaxy Note, so they also released other phones around the same time.
If you're on Verizon, I'd say wait. The Bionic is out today, but you should wait until the Primes(Droid or Nexus) and the Vigor, and maybe the Titan come out. Then you'll be able to make a fair decision since you can actually test out the phone, see what type of dev support it has here, etc.
Best way to find the best phone for YOU is to go out and try them.
Yes, per my post it is AT&T for the carrier.
Of those devices you listed do you know that they are coming out for ATT and when?
Next, asthetics are less critical than functionality to me. Nonetheless I have big hands, and as I mentioned I use a tilt2, and although once I've narrowed this down I will go put the final contenders in my hand. I'm not going to waste my time doing that until I've got a list of devices narrowed down based on performance and functionality. (besides the dealers don't seem to know much about the devices, which is my I'm posting here!!!) Lastly, most all of the objectives I have for evaluating performance and function cannot be tested in the store... and there would not be enough time in the store if I could, lol. This is where research comes into play.
All opinions welcome thanks for sharing your preferences!!!
For AT&T, the Galaxy S 2 appears to be the absolute best phone coming in the next 3 months. The Infuse, if it were updated to Android Gingerbread, would be just as good...maybe better because of the larger display.
I am not exactly sure when the Galaxy S 2 comes out, if its in the next 3 months, i would get it. That is my opinion, I am using the Galaxy S, so i kind of have a biased opinion. The phone is great, it has its flaws though, as does every other device on the market. Overall though, it is a great device and i know the Galaxy S 2 will only be better.
Thanks for the input, yes, I was surprised to see that the newer phone drops from 4.5 to 4.3", but the hardware and software are better on paper.
Supposedly the GS2 comes out after Sept 18th, even if it turns out to be Mid October that is soon enough for me. I'll go put one in my hand in October, and see what the latest news is for November/December and make my "final answer".
I really want a GS2 but im not sure if my cellular company is even going to get the GS2, if they do, it will be one with less features. I hope helped you like you were looking for, I cant wait to see what others suggest, hopefully some good ones.

Oh couldn't tell since you mentioned Verizon smart phones. The Vigor will probably have a AT&T counterpart...may be later down the line though. Seems like HTC likes to keep similar phones on all 4 carriers.
best get the iphone 5
Palm Treo, they're very reliable and offer a wide range of modern features..Though not as appealing as a iPhone 5 or Optimus or Prime, it's still quite the contender. The Palm OS contains features for the business person and many good classic games like PacMan or Tetris. Hope this post gives you an insight on the best phone for you.

What's wrong with offering my honest opinion? He did say the best phone, and I gave him a top notch choice . The treo can hold its ground against the scary iPhone 5G or any fancy dual core device, it does feature 3D accelerated graphics, which is also avail on iPhone, making these very similar in specs.

edit: latest info I have found... I can't believe it is really a month from launch and no specs are confirmed... weird.

final conclusion, there should be 3-4 big smart phone releases, but likely not all will be out until beginning to mid of November. So I'm going to wait to find out more about all of their specs once released, as well as put a few of them in my hand once they hit stores.
I think for me the main choices will be between the HTC Titan, the GS2, and the Nexus Prime (or whatever name it finally has); If I wasn't so anti-apple, the Iphone5 will also be a contender and should be released within a month.

everyone here will say gs2 but i'd couldnt argue

Is it worth getting the new Galaxy 3?

I have the Vibrant, I'm using an ICS ROM. 4.0.4.
I don't use my phone for a lot of web browsing, more or less social things and games. I'm sort of sore on flashing new ROM's though I LOVE exploring them all!
For people already using a Galaxy, what would be your pro's and con's?
I've looked into the phone and it sounds amazing, dual-core snapdragon, stock 4.0.4, it looks to be as big as the Galaxy s II and a nice AMOLED screen.
Has anyone used one of these guys yet? How do you like it? Does it live up to your expectations?
There are some fantastic new features. A colleague tried one for an hour last weekend and his questions to me was 'why can't we have these at work' we currently have S2's
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I really like the whole "Sharing" thing between Galaxy III's.
Did your work pay for the S2's? That's very nice of them!
I wasn't impressed enough (compared to my Vibrant.) to spend the extra money upgrading an S2, but the SIII really has my attention.
I'm contemplating it very hard. Through my carrier I think it's going to be $280 before extra fee's though..that's pricey especially since the first I paid $250 and received a $50 MIR. :/
Coming from a Vibrant..definitely should upgrade. If you had an S2 or something comparable, it wouldn't be worth it unless you could get a really good deal.
Thank you lowandbehold. I feel a tad better about my wants. I was hoping it wasn't just because it was new. The hardware upgrades them self already make my giddy/
Although the Galaxy III is a killer in terms of performance and software features, which make it highly desirable especially for people who have an old smartphone, you should also take the upcoming iPhone 5 into consideration.
Another phone worth checking out is the HTC one X. Although not superior in performance compared to the GIII, it has a lot of notable features and shoots photo's fast due to it's fast camera processor.

Though the camera supports 1080P at 30FPS on the Samsung Galaxy S3 while the HTC One X doesn't. I would say get the Galaxy S3, the iPhone screen just seems tiny to me after having the Galaxy S3 since launch.
The iPhone 5 might be worth waiting out for if you have the patience to wait. Apparently Foxconn's CEO said the next iPhone "will put Samsung’s Galaxy III to shame."

Lol, doubt it
Thank you for your suggestion, however I am not an iPhone person and I don't believe T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone5. Or at least there's no official word on it. Just hopeful reports of people stating that 'It could happen! Maybe..'
I just love the android's platform and it's lack of boundaries. I've also heard rumor of some Android's having a "Flash Counter" that count the number of times you've actually flashed the phone, and because of it the warranty won't be active. (Like the Galaxy Note supposedly has one.) I could also be wrong since I haven't looked into this. On that note, I don't believe they'll be implementing this feature into the SnapDragon CPU's. However correct me if I'm wrong! I'm very much a phone newbie.
My friend owns a One X while another has the new Razr Maxx.
Since they aren't brand new I'm curious as to switching to those guys..it would be cheaper however have the same quality as the S3?
I've been with Samsung for 8 years now and they haven't let me down.
So loyalty stays with Samsung for their phones.

Samsung announcing the S4 the day before the release of the one...

Samsung announced today that they will be revealing the S4 on March 14th, the day before the One's launch. Hopefully it doesn't ruin htc's launch, i can see alot of people canceling their pre orders after seeing the S4's specs. What do you guys think?

Same not interested in the galaxy s4. Had an s3 and it was nothing to write home about
I agree about Samsung, I had S3 and Note 2 and both are nothing to write home about except for note 2 battery life.

about a week ago, my next phone was indeterminate between the HTC1, SGS4, and the Motorola X-Phone.
initially, the SGS4 was rumoured to have amazing specs, but recent rumours have Samsung nerfing more and more of these "killer specs" due to production issues(though the 8-core exynos they were originally supposed to be going with was just two switch-between quad cores of different speeds, meaning the qualcomm which is now rumoured isn't actually a nerf after all) .
Add the fact that it will almost certainly be sporting the cheap poly-carbonate shell, the S4 is not a contender for me anymore.
the HTC1's solid build will help it a lot against the SGS4 threat since many buyers base their decision more on how a phone feels than what it contains (just look at all the people buying iPhones)
biggest thing against it will probably be battery life. If HTC didn't pick up their game in this regard, then the rumoured 3000Mah X-phone may take the market.
I wish there was something more substantial than rumours to go by.

same here
I don't expect there to be a huge overall jump in anything - The S3 was an underwhelming update to the S2 - same damn camera, pentile screen etc.
But rest assured that Samsung will have some sort of ace up it's sleeve and/or marketing gimmicky crap (Pop up play, Nature UX ,S-voice, Smart Stay, S-note, S-tits) that will devour the entire market share of the segment.
Samsung does do the basics well though - it will have microSD and I expect the battery of the S4 to be excellent and close to 3000mAh - but they have very Apple like followers now. If they include some aluminum on their chassis and call it hyperaluminum and it'd sell 10 million on that alone.
I mean seriously - they called the glossy plastic back on the S3 'hyperglaze'.

"hyperglaze" ? they should had called it "hypercrap" LOL
The only feature I thought that was quite clever on the s3 was the 'smart stay' thing... Pop up play I NEVER used... ever! S Voice was a pile of crap, most of the features were naff
And lets be honest... Samsung has made it's fortune by essentially ripping off apple with its design, people will jump on me for saying that but it's true. A physical home key with the other android keys that fade into the background so it looks like they're not there, similar shapes, a UI that looks extremely similar. Samsung have done well with marketing but.. not for me Each to their own I guess.
love this thread so far

I honestly think that samsung was there for the taking at the time of the S3 - it was an underwhelming device. HTC were in with a huge chance but - like the Sensation before it - the One X was plagued with teething problems which put its performance below the GS3 as the time.
It always takes a while and 2-3 updates for HTC devices to realize their potential - remember HTC Sensation and the memory issues with the browser and the launcher? and the GPU lag? The Galaxy S2 had none of that and went on to become the people's champion. HOWEVER - after a few painful months and great dev work the issues were fixed and the Sensation went on to become even better than the S2 IMO - but it was too late.
In the case of the One X, HTC already had the best design and screen on the market but it was plagued with software/driver issues. Honestly, the One X before and after the Jellybean update were too completely different devices - gone was the overheating, the stuttery UI, the poor battery - it had become an amazing phone. But again, most people were put off by the initial problems and just went for the S3 instead.
I feel that HTC really need a solid, issue free launch for the One for it to be a success because, objectively, i don't see anything coming close to the One this year. HTC's really changed the game with the speakers and camera - and no-one saw it coming. All the One now needs is a well executed launch with no major issues and I feel the One can be THE top selling phone of the year.
Now, obviously with any new device there will be bugs in the beginning which is fine as long as they're minor and quickly addressed. Hopefully HTC avoids these issues and really takes the game to Samsung this year.
I applaud HTC for having the guts to do something different.... Samsung will just 'increase' the spec a bit over the S3 and for most people they'll be like 'OMG THIS IS THE BEST PHONE EVER' and if it does what you want then fair enough.
I really really hate how the galaxy range feels so cheap in the hand, when your spending that much money you want a premium product and I think that's why people love Apple so much... It may be expensive but you normally feel like it's worth the cost.
If you ask within the XDA community - whether anyone would cancel their orders for HTC One, answer is NO. Whoever decided to get HTC One is getting it. It doesn't really matter what Samsung shows for GS4, people will get the HTC One who already pre-ordered.
The same question if you ask outside the XDA community, then it's something totally different. As always, only thing which will push the device to consumers is marketing, promotion and brand awareness. HTC has to match Samsung's efforts in marketing. Else, many people might actually cancel the order.
Android Central is hosting "World's First Samsung Galaxy S4 Contest". Really!! And there are now close to 4000 comments already. HTC needs something to combat this Samsung marketing juggernaut.
I think HTC's deal with AOL might help them. All AOL sites are part of blinkfeed.
http://blog.aol.com/2013/02/19/aol-debuts-on-the-brand-new-htc-one/
They will however need much more than that. Expect a good review from Engadget and Techcrunch for HTC One.

I agree with the statement above. ^^^^^ Thing is, Samsung has made a name for itself just like Apple, The iPhone isn't that great, but people worship apple like they are perfect. Coming from an iOS community i've seen the most ridiculous BS ever. Following people on twitter waiting over night for the next iPhone, iPad, crappy Macbooks, when none of them are ever that great. Just over expensive and too simple. They practically worship apple and its disgusting. I can understand people going for the "just works" slogan because, well, they "just work", great. But people who are on android want way more than that. Which is why i find Android Superior and am going from a iPhone 4 to an HTC One. Even though Android IS better in pretty much every aspect, people go to apple. They were the first, so they had a head start and made a name for themselves. (Also I think android before 4.0 was bad anyways, I didn't like it and i haven't seen so many people switch until 4.0 was out) So it will most likely be that Apple will always be ahead in smartphone sales. Samsung also was an early competitor, and was able to get there name out there since they had so much money to advertise. So everyone I know is either ALL APPLE, or they will only go for Samsung, thinking everything else is inferior. Not saying Samsung is terrible, but they got ahead while I think there smartphones aren't superior. This is why I think Samsung will hurt HTC when it comes too sales. Samsung is big, HTC isn't.
Can wait to see the look on Ur faces wen Sammy slams the 1 to an early grave....y the heck do u think they will stick to plastic....HTC using all aluminum body sure means the competition will follow suit. And u know the will fill it up with lots of extra features....if there's one thing Sammy its better @, then its marketing. Remember how we keep blasting the iphone, yet it sells so well. HTC 1 was made to get the company back on its feet financially. To these OEM its not about just making a good phone, its all about selling most. And as it stands Sammy has the upper hand, and I don't think they are ready to give up....so prepare to be blown away....LIKE IT OR NOT

Actually, if you care about HTC as a company then you should care about the announcement - it would be an understatement to say that this is the most crucial battle yet for HTC - and they've done their part by making an excellent product. So let's see.

Problem is that the S4 was surely in production before they knew HTC would be using aluminum. And believe me, I already believe that Samsung will out do the HTC One by a long shot because Samsung has always done better with marketing there phones. Im sure they will release a new version of TouchWiz with lots of new features, but the Ones features are also great. Sense 5 looks mint, compared to TouchWiz and unless Samsung follows in that more minimalist design I'll still find TouchWiz ugly. I would agree its not about maknig the better phone is its about profits. Just like every other company in the world. Samsung will always have the upper hand whether or not they are crappy or great. Just like we see with pretty much every single Apple product. They made a name for themselves, So no matter what they put out, the iSheep WILL continue to buy there overpriced, crappy products. Still, Samsung > Apple any day. Samsungs products aren't crappy but i've never been impressed by a single thing Samsung has ever done.
