Hey everyone! I am extremely pleased to bring you my first ROM ever...

What is it?
Sushi is my attempt to bring a fast, lightweight, vanilla-style ROM to you guys.
The core of Sushi ROM is currently Fresh ROM 2.0d.
What is special about it?
Fast
AOSP apps
Ads are blocked
Looks vanilla
JIT enabled
Lightweight
Old OpenGL so Nexus Launcher or any 3D app will have better performance
LWP's removed for speed (and since most don't stick or work anyway)
TrevE's dc.conf file for EASY adjustment of settings (a2sd, swap, JIT, memkiller, etc.) *Now with GUI app*
Well... there's nothing really else to say about it. You'll just have to try it and see if it fits your taste.

PLEASE WIPE ALL DALVIK AND DATA BEFORE FLASHING 2.0... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Instructions:
Flash it just like any ROM, and wipe Dalvik and Data before flashing. To enable JIT, open the "DConfig" app, and then select Enable JIT. Do not worry about the Banned Apps... they have already been removed. In fact, do not even press the Banned Apps button... I'm not kidding. Don't do it. Also, if you WANT JIT, do NOT sign into HtcFacebook... ie. the one that you are asked to sign into when you first flash the app. Doing so will cause bootloops.

+Directions: unzip file so you just have PCSCII.apk, then "adb push" it to /system/app. Reboot phone.

4/29/2010: Uploaded 2.02. AOSP skin added, 2.1 launcher added, camera added back
4/28/2010: Fixed JIT and DConfig, as well as apps2sd. Also removed the automatic Flipz_01 PRI adjustment. AOSP WILL COME LATER, MY MAIN CONCENTRATION WAS THE WAKELOCK.
4/28/2010: Uploaded 2.0. Switched the base from Damage Control over to Fresh 2.0d. WAKE LOCK IS GONE, all issues are fixed. Only thing missing from this is the cosmetics (AOSP skin etc.). That will come in time.
4/26/2010: Uploaded fixed AOSP icons... thanks JsChiSurf!
4/25/2010: Version 1.1b released, updated TrevE's dc.conf, added his GUI app.
4/25/2010: Version 1.1 finished, USB mounting fixed, moved wallpapers out of Launcher.apk to sdcard to save RAM and increase space for apps
4/24/2010: Version 1.02 released, 3G icon replaces EvDo icon, Hosts file included in ROM (eliminates need for AdFree Android app)
4/24/2010: Version 1.01 released, fixed alarm issue as well as VoiceSearch issue.
4/23/2010: ROM is released.

I want to give this one a try with my them customizations and using the helix launcher. What is the easiest way to get the htc lockscreen back on to it instead of the vanilla one?

The application Voice Search has stopped unexpectedly

Does this have treve's same mod that lets us move dalvik-cache and swap to secure digital with the dc configuration file? i hope so--- this is a nice looking rom (becides the USB being black). I had to ditch aloysis because the apps2sd had too much manual work, i hope you went with the real version that just works!

So weird I was just about to post and see if there was a non OCed AOSP JIT enabled rom out there.

I'm also getting a force close on Voice Search, the rom's currently unusable for me, I'll try flashing again.

thats something unrelaed, but here should be a fix. this was broken in the latest dc
try this
adb remount
adb push VoiceSearch.apk /system/app/

actually deleting keyboardwithvoicesearch.dcbanned seems to have done it.

flash the vanilla clock...i would of assumed he included itif i wasnt on my phone i would hook you up....im sure someone has it

I never use the alarm so I didn't know about that problem. I'll see if I can get out an update tomorrow that has fixes to the problems above.
EDIT
For the timebeing, if you need the alarm clock, try pushing the attached file to /system/app.
Note that this is NOT a flashable zip... you must extract the zip and push the apk.

[ROM][FINAL]AURORA v2 - Vanilla

Aurora v2 - Vanilla is released. This is the 2nd version of Sense Aurora v1 (Actually Aurora v1 - Sense). Now this version has everything as previous. But has some more things (And a lot removed to save space). Did not add boot animation to save internal memory. The ROM takes around 48mb of Internal Memory.
ROM is based on DXKL2 and tested on DDKK1 and SHOULD work on other firmwares (Can't give a guarantee).

How to Install (For beginners) -
1) Download zip and put directly in memory card
2) Download CWM by Skin1980
3) Turn Off phone
4) Boot in Recovery (Volume Up + Home + Power)
5) Wipe Data
6) Apply Update from SDcard
7) Select CWM by skin1980 (Its name was strange)
8) You will go into CWM recovery
9) Select Install zip from SDcard
10) Then select Choose Zip from SDcard
11) Click on Aurorav2.zip
12) It will install
13) Go back using power button and click Reboot System
14) First boot will take time but wait.
15) Enjoy!

Lol. He's talking about the launcher, not the OS. Also he already said on his announcement that it isn't vanilla core, just something similar. I'm guessing it's Zeam.

Yes this is not an OS (of course then this would no longer be a rom). This is just the launcher used in eclair (pre–froyo). And about your guess, no this isn't Zeam (had tried using it for v1 but an error occurred and it is also heavy.)

what the........! i downloaded and it was somewhere around 2.1mb!
maybe becuz i downloaded from a non market source. though it ran but showed continuous errors such as process.android. acore has stopped unexpectedly.

Haha apk size from market is around 300kb and installed it's about 700kb. Not heavy at all. So yeah. Anyway, gonna check out your rom once you release.

Good! XDA-Developers doesn't allow warez in any way, so they are very strict in checking the apps. the faster the new build is uploaded the better! Keep up your work:silly:

Can you make a non-ICS themed version please? I use crybernation and I really love the GB theme but it has a huge battery drain, and some bugs... So if you can remove the ICS theme and just upload another one with stock GB theme with TW 4.5 launcher I'd download it as soon as I can!! But I hate ICS themes on a GB rom...

Is there any adrenaline in hard way version? How about battery? Any drains?

EasyLife has stock kernel and HardWay has newest Vitality kernel, which is considered better than stock kernel. However Vitality kernel ususally comes with exAdrenaline modification, which is not present (as far as I know, but I may be mistaken) in HardWay version and has to be installed manually (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544066). Installing exAdrenaline gives you better performance and battery life, also gets rid of sdcard mount problem (often occuring in Vitality).
I have another issue with this ROM. Why are there two different fonts in default locksceen? You see "1" in displayed time is different than the rest of the numbers (in fact "1" is the same font as default font in value pack). How can I fix this?
Another thing getting in the way. "Lockscreen wallpaper -> None" option still doesn't work (as in original XXKQE rom).
Despite that it is very decent ROM, pretty and neat.

Great job. I love this rom. I've installed it a few minutes ago and it looks that is working flawless (The only problem is that the launcher it lags sometimes). It's fast, it's good looking and will definitely be my rom until next release ^^. So, I'd rate this rom with 9.5/10.
One more problem is when you activate the rotation animation.. it's buggy, when you rotate the phone it shows a green screen. But except that, it's awesome.

Who would like the version of the KK-Smart style S4 or Z1?

Both S4 and Z1 would be nice, but what about standard cm7 ui? Do as you wish, I appreciate your work and wait for R2. When will it be ready?

i would prefer aosp kit kat style

I've installed the R2 version yesterday and it looks like it's working better, but the only problem I've seen is that at "about phone" menu it still says that it's the R1 version, even though I flashed the latest release.

Problems
Cannot install Google Play Services, same user ID as installed app error.
Lock screen does not always appear fast enough on screen on, can use phone a bit before it shows.
Power menu freezes phone if on lock screen
Cannot edit accounts on phone, prompts for adding.
Apart from those, great job

Also just a brief note, I think KitKat has way less space available than Jellysmart, can we maybe get a cleanup?

Hi folks, after long time i made finally a new slim-rom bassed on v1.1 B01- Kitkat update from 25.7
I modified a custom ROM from myzte.cn
ROM is smoother than 4.3
What I did:
* Deleted some useless Chinese apps
* changed original email, calculator app with the original google ones
* changed dpi to 445 , looks better in apps and it´s stable
* default language is set to English
* added Apollo music app / original music app is deleted
* added 4.4 camera app
* deleted Chinese zte browser and replaced by default android browser
* added CM launcher
What was moded by the Chinese:
* it´s ROOTED
BUGS:
- NO ART support
- Dolby digital don´t work
- let me know
What you will need:
1. the great ZTE s291
2. Installed Recovery - tutorial here: s291 ROOT and RECOVERY
3. free space on your sd- card
Install instructions:
1. Put slim_kk_s291.zip to root of your SD-card
2. Put google apps also to the root of the card - download: http://d-h.st/AeM
3. Turn phone off and boot to recovery (hold volume up + power button until it vibrates then hold only the volume up button)
4. Wipe data /factory reset
4. Install slim_kk_s291.zip
5. Install google apps
6. Reboot phone
7. Enjoy

Does this fix the widget problem?? and also you should replace the settings app with the android default settings.

That´s not so easy to change the settings app. And the widget problem is still there but you have now choice to use Mifavor , Google now and CM launcher , on all the widgets work fine.

This ROM is actually pretty awesome. All the bloatware was gone and I got to root my device!!! thx so much jozco looking forward to new roms from you

Yeah it´s better than the stock , but i think that the optimalization on our device it´s not so good ... in few games i got a lot of lags , in 4.3 not , but the system seems to be more smoother , we will se on 30.7 (Wednesday) when the next update will be out... Than I try to make another slim rom , hope it will be better than this. And write me what launchers do you use , i can put them in the next update and the widgets will work.

How change battery life compare to 4.3 ROMs?

I really like to use go launcher but I don't want to use it because it won't let me add any widgets. Now I just use the google launcher. Hopefully in your next ROM you can add go launcher.

Viper4android?
Has anybody tried out viper4android. On my 4.3 Rom (B10) it works. Only dolby low power feature somtimes disturbes.

widgets (in NovaLauncher) and GravityBox don't work on Your ROM. Do they work on Trebuchet?

I have sometimes FC on Gapps. Am I the only one? And on "Clock" and "Trebuchet".

I have the same issues. Trebuchet is very unstable. Stock launcher seems to be stable, but it is hard to personalize (icon sheme, start bar,...)

Use the google now launcher. It's pretty stable for me.

My root acces just disappear ! first time I see that !

I downgraded to the slim-Rom 08. With this one the antutu Benchmark went down from 32.000 to 27.000. And there were a lot of chinese apps still inside.

Can I use basic recovery on zte s291?

Hello guys I' m using The slim b08 and my device goes to 41000 on antutu but it is still 4.3....can you give me other links for this ROM? And gapps of course....these ones doesn't work at all.... THANKS A LOT
