Wiimote + Datel Retro Classic controller + Arkon SM514
Hopefully this all works out. I got the wiimote already, bought the Arkon on thursday and the Datel on wednesday so I should have everything this week.
I'm somewhere tired of not being able to play it like a game boy, you cant hold the screen with one hand and play with the other. Althought I have beaten plenty of games with just the keyboard, this would make it much easier i think...
I know the pic looks bad, dont be jealous of my MSpaint skills lol. I honestly dont even know if all the sizes are correct, but we'll see. Cant wait for this stuff to come in the mail.

Just got the datel controller in, its very small. About as skinny as the g2 itself.
If looking at it in landscape it is not as tall but a little wider. Ready to get started on this project tonight
I realize you already purchased everything, but why didn't you want to go with the version of the datel wii classic controller that doesn't need a wii mote to use? They make a version that has the bluetooth and works with the wii software in the android market. http://androidforums.com/android-games/89229-datel-wii-wireless-retro-controller-works.html
1. you still need to carry around the wiimote if im not mistaken.
2. you cannot hold the controller and the phone at the same time.
Maybe im wrong, please correct me if so.
This specific one doesn't require a wiimote: http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Wii-Wireless-Retro-Controller___EF000622.aspx
It has the bluetooth controller built in.
So you could technically just use that same phone mount and attach it to the back of this wireless classic controller to hold the phone similar to how you are trying to mount it now.
Ya that is interesting, I had no problem at all playing street fighter and other fighting game with my controller, maybe that is a plus.
And besides that, the controller itself looks to be very large, which is another reason I got a slim version of a controller.
To each his own I guess.

finally got the arkon holder in yesterday just finished up the controller maybe 2 hours ago id been playing for almost an hour.
Honestly I love it... now I can play and not have to hold something else lol >< all in one!
ended up using the wii pro classic controller, the datel one was to cheaply made...
my fav http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rxJq6tQVw8
Wow I never knew the red sync button was the same as pressing a and b. Then again that's what I get for not owning a wii haha.

Wow. That is awesome. Mad props to you.
Ill be selling that black one fairly soon if anyone is interested.
Got another controller today, hard to find brand new classic controllers (non-pro). I should have this new one done in about a week. Mostly just waiting on parts.
Finished my second custom wiimote/classic controller hybrid yesterday. alot smaller then the first one, still need to solder the wire to practically remove it.

very similar to whats included with the tilt..its a non standard htc usb plug with an extended adapter on it which has on one side what looks like a normal headphone jack and a mini headphone jack and on the end has the usb..ive included a pic of it..im assuming this is standard accessory equipment included with the ATT FUZE sooo i was looking on ebay for a video out cable and came upon this
http://cgi.ebay.com/TOUCH-PRO-TV-VI...0|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50
and ive included a pic
but it looks like you can plug it into what i thought were audio jacks and achieve video out? because i have these cables laying around (from video cameras and stuff) and i tried them just now and i dont get any results..any ideas on how this is being pulled off?
The one on eBay is a modified dongle. And the guy probably did it using the thread found in xda-dev! I will bet you that! LOL! But, if you had searched, you would have found this thread here.
derrrrrrr..yah sorry about not searching..just thought it was interesting and found a makeshift on on ppcgeeks really didnt think about searching lol

Well Pazookie, good for you getting your Fuze as a replacement. Didn't cost you a cent. Congrats and I hope you enjoy it. As for the Bold, I brought that the day it came out and took it back the following day. LOL The screen is awesome but I guess I'm just that WM kinda guy. I hated the BB format espically for email and text messages. Again, that's me and I sure it's that I'm so used to the WM platform. I know many people that would give their arm before lossing their BB. LOL
Have a GREAT holiday my Firend.

thanks..merry christmas.//and about the fuze..i have never been more pleased with a device..it went above and beyond my expectations..i thought i was going to have to settle for less buttons and all that stuff but i have found the workarounds easier..i have found it to be more responsive and accurate as in screen taps and typing with the on screen SIP and pocketgba works again (on my tilt once wm6.1 came out that gba emulater stopped working). I LOVE this thing lol oh yah its built tuff too..i dropped it at work the other day (idiot coworker bear hugged me from behind thus flinging the fuze out of my hand). It hid concrete from about 4 feet and the back cover flew off and the battery popped off and only a smal scratch/paintsmudge on the bottom right corner (top half of device). Hope you have a great new year
Hi boys and girls!
I was planning on buying the new Diamond 2 as soon as it hit the shelves here in Norway, but as HTC still thinks I should pay for the repair of an USB port which was DOA I have decided to try to find some other phone...
So - anyone have any good suggestions?
Cheers!
Nokia 5110
I prefer the lime green casing myself, but that is personal preference, as is selecting a device or a type of wine.

@ Red: Thanks for the suggestion, but I find it too small for my liking. My three "musts" are:
1. The handset need to be sturdy. If i forget my hammer, I need something to hit other drivers with.
2. Must come with its own backpack, and the fabric must be washable.
3. I sometimes use the phone in my care, so the top part must be possible to detach from the battery. There just isn't space in my estate car to have the battery in the front.
My best bet til now is this model:

haha great response. With all honesty go with something a bit inexpensive in the meantime if you are waiting for TP2 to be released in your country.
Actually, I'd rather go for something NOT from HTC...
Go for Touch Pro 2 or Toshiba TG01
Or buy the new HTC Touch HD ...
Thanks for the suggestion. Will have to have a look at the Toshiba. As for HTC, I'd really like to stuff the aforementioned phone (the Ericsson) somewhere the sun don't shine. Unfortunately, I think I will have to use "most people" as a baseline for sun-exposure, as I have a feeling these guys (?) do a lot of "work" on all fours
I understand your reluctance to get a HTC again I for one have a HD which is actually really good although when i first brought one it had 3 dead pixels and although htc wouldnt replace it the shop i brought it from would, now after 3 months or so my replacement has just developed a stuck pixel which I have never seen before I've has so many products with lcd screens and worked in a shop for a bit that sold them and only ever seen them come with a dead/stuck pixel. its not really noticeable but very annoying considering the price of the phone. So I was thinking thats the last time i buy a htc but then I realized there isn't any 1 else who makes anything near as good in terms of features and looks.
my first choice would be the hd
go for the HD or a super processor snapdragon on the Toshiba TG01
Hey all.
Spring is coming, and I usually start to work out again around this time of year. It's warm out, and I want to run. This time last year, I had an iPhone, I had an armband for it, but never really liked it. I also didn't care as much about the phone. Has anyone found a good way to keep your superphone safe while working out?
wii excellent question. I love running. Just recently discovered runstar in the market. I am ready to go.
But unlike the iphone unfortunately the nexus one does not have a variety of 3rd party support
+99999999999999 on this question
Try an iphone armband? They are not _that_ different in dimensions.
119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm on Nexus One
115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3 mm on the iphone
Hi Guys,
I do a fair bit of running and wanted to take my Nexus One for GPS tracking my run. I use this armband. Very comfortable on your arm, and the phone fits perfectly.
Hope that helps.
I cant tell from the Amazon photo... Is that one thick, or does the phone just fit in there?
You have a side view of it?
Thx!
I too am looking for one...
I'm in the market for an armband as well. Thats why I clicked on this post
Anyway, I'd like to add that CardioTrainer (free version) is hands down the best work out app I've found. Amazing amount of options and settings for the free version. Its really fun to use for tracking in all kinds of workouts. I even fire it up when I play tennis and golf.

I just did a large 8k run, and I have a belkin iphone armband.. my nexus one fits in there perfectly, and the opening is at the top so the headphones fit great.
only downside to cardiotrainer is that it eats your battery! I was at 100 charge when I started and down to 70/60 when I was done.
I had the same issue with Cardio Trainer until I set the GPS to sample every 10 seconds (settings in CardioTrainer). The default I beleive is 1 second, which is a bit excessive...
Yeah there is somthing going on there. I'd lower most of the settings if its that bad.
On my jogs, which range from 3 miles to 6 miles, I use cardiotrainer and stream Pandora with 100% 3g the entire time and at most it uses 20% of the battery.
Thanks for the tip on the belkin. I'll give it a whirl
Looks like everyone likes the armband approach. Maybe I'm just too OCD to like it. I feel off balance or something.
Honestly I'd rather just have it strapped to my chest or something. But I used to use the belkin, I gave it away with my iphone, but if that's your thing, definately go for the belkin, it rocks.
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I bought this at a local store for 20€. Fits the N1 like a glove, lets you plug in the headphones, has a nice touch and a firm grip and the touchscreen works if you touch it through the plastic front, don't know how. Please ask me if there is any other thing you'd like to know.

I'm not a fan of armbands. I just use generic waist belt case to hold my nexus and this rocketfish bluetooth headset from bestbuy. I can't post a link here but do a search on their website "rocketfish bluetooth" sku is 9246862.
Its my first bluetooth headset and I like it alot. I can answer calls, change tracks, up/down volume without touching my phone. No more tangles with headphone cables.
Has anybody tried this vehicle bluetooth dock? Looks pretty bad ass and would work with future phones. Maybe this could be my last dock for a while? Just wondering about the volume rocker on the sensation. Looks like accessing the charging port might not be an issue.
Looks well made and not really a bad price when you price the official sensation dock (that doesnt have bluetooth)
What do you think?

That's a good price, was looking at that but was expensive, better the the OEM dock.. Parrot is a good Bluetooth brand, and it should work, don't see why it wouldnt...

Looking at the pics makes me miss my n1 a little lol...
But personally I have never used parrot, but looks like a good alternative. But this tread reminded me about my BlueAnt S4 that I have stashed away because it didn't play well with my Nexus one with MIUI.
Just ordered it along with a sonos s5 zone player and zone bridge.. gotta love wireless
That product screams "Break into this car and steal me... im worth it"

Yes the wonderful N1. I ordered a new one from ebay for $250 bout a week or so ago, gave my original to my girl when i got the EVO 4G. It looks like the senation may spend a few days down being replaced so the N1 will make a nice back-up.
Bump... Its hard to believe nobody has tried one of these...on any phone? mine has shipped so it wont be long now
Can anyone post up some suggestions for a good car mount for the skyrocket? I'd really like one that didn't block the camera so I could record video while driving.
Thanks!
hands down the best mounts in the market is Pro-Clip USA. Expensive, but worth it.

Its ok, you just can't help it. I'm pretty capable but I thought that this community may have a preferred vendor that came recommended for this product.
ProClip is good stuff for sure, but I've never seen a mount from them that's not on the dash or console area. If you want to record while driving, you'd want something on the windshield or dash; preferably windshield if you have a newer car, since they're made and installed to dampen vibration.
For recording you'd probably want something like this Arkon windshield mount:
http://www.arkon.com/mobile-grip/mobile-grip-flexible-car-mount.html
If you really want it on your dash, you could go with this one:

A quick search would have brought you to:
Looking For a Car Mount?
And there, I posted the Sprint D710 model is the one you want because it is almost the exact same size as the Skyrocket, just needs to be modified slightly
Universal holders are ridiculous - for the same price, get the one for the phone, you know you can sell it with the phone and make more money as a "package" instead of trying to keep the same ugly car dock that doesn't charge your phone after you sell the Skyrocket! And as for Pro-Clip.... I've been a big fan of theirs for a long time, but the insane pricing and having to hardwire it every time gets really old, really fast.... for HALF the price, you get an OEM Samsung charger that just needs to be modified and then use Bluetooth to get audio to your car's stereo, very simple, classy, and not ghetto rigged like this awful universal mounts!
I really like my Cobra Universal Mini Mount.
