Gameloft have a buy one get one free offer until SUNDAY 28th.
Best get a couple if you ask me!
http://blog.gameloft.com/uk/index.php/2010/11/25/android-buy-one-get-one-free/
Gameloft's system is terrible. Can't transfer games to new devices.
i think you can, but you have to email them about it. Better than nothing I suppose.
I can't get it to work for me.
Offer is on the UK Blog, I'm in the US...Wonder if that makes any diff?
1. I went to buy one of the games and was brought to their Payforit site.
2. I was prompted to enter my cellphone number and that I'd get a purchasing code within 2minutes
3. Went through steps 1 and 2 about 4 times, each time waiting well over the 2min suggestion.
...Yes, I'm connected via 3g and not wifi too.
Gameloft games can be transferred between devices. However, I had to make a voice call to get it done. Took about 5 min and then received an email with a download link. I don't think that this offer is open to the US. International mobile numbers likely aren't accepted by the site and that's why the text never arrives.
EDIT: I called them up on their support line and they honored the UK deal over the phone even though they confirmed the US site doesn't offer it.
Ill be picking up the g2x tomorrow when the store opens at the tmobile store on northern and parsons in nyc. This will be my first time getting a tmobile phone at launch so does anybody know if there is usually a line?
Im also worried because there will be 3 new devices releasing at the same time
probably not.

pretend its black friday and go there at like 3 am...... <---sarcasm! lol
at my store (witch was a little kiosk in the mall) when the vibrant was launched there was a line.... id say get there early cuz i asked the rep if alot of these phones have been sold online/phone and she said YES ALOT!
I got the Vibrant 5 days early from Costco Too bad can't get G2X like that...
the only reason people lined up for the iphone is because they are/were weak minded and succumb to the subliminal advertising that apple ran. I mean seriously it is just a phone.
Did they change the release date? Everything I'd heard was that they were supposed to be in the stores on 4/20, i.e., Wednesday, not tomorrow.
I think you are correct, I think it is 4/20 not 4/19 .. so that guy can go in tomorrow if he wants lol.
lol ya start the line for us Ill send you a card with my name on it you can tell people your holding a place in line for me till wed morning.
Think many people who wanted one now ordered via phone/web. Doubt many will be in-store.
Im getting mine in store also this Wednesday here in Nashville TN. I called last Saturday to verify that they will have some on the 20th. She said yes. And also put me on a Waiting list for the phone. According to her, they will hold a phone for me for 24hours and she asked for my Name / TMobile number.
Funny thing is, I was the first person on / starting the list. I called again today to verify again and was told they now have 3 total people on the list lol. Ima go there first thing in the morning though.
Was going to order online but dont like paying for things and having to wait on my items. Id rather pay and get the item right then and there.
I remember when I ordered the Nexus One back in Jan when it launched. Those where the longest 2 days of my life LOLOL.
I once showed up mistakenly one day early to pick up a video game and they actually sold it to me. Could be he is the one laughing tomorrow ... Well probably not but I always root for the underdog. Lol
The store where I picked up my vibrant a long time ago, said I won't have any problems picking this up Wednesday. I can't wait!
I went to the T-mobile store to check out a G2X. The rep said there should be plenty of G2X's on the sales date and joked that T-Mobile didn't even advertise their new 4G phone.

I've never heard of this waiting list... I might need to look into it this morning
I just spoke with a sales person at my local corporate store (Framingham, MA), who said that they had "plenty" in stock. I asked if I could reserve one, and he said that I shouldn't have any problem if I show up around opening time tomorrow. FWIW.

Nice!!!
With them not advertising it. Alot of people dont even know about the G2 except for us since we more Phone Pros. The average Joe dont be on twitter and dont be on XDA so the average person doesnt even know a new Android phone is coming out. That said, there shouldnt be a problem for us getting one at the store.
The store I went to last night (metro Detroit) said they only have 5 in stock and had about that many people come in and ask for them. I'm gonna go back tonight and see if he'll sell one to me early.
I went to a store this evening and a.rep let me look at his, which he was very impressed with. The screen is really nice and it is very, very fast. Wish he didn't have a sleeve on it though.
He said that there were a lot of people on their waiting list, but that they got a lot of phones. I put my name on one and I will probably go in tomorrow morning and pick one up.
yes, some stores have a waiting list. I was in one store this evening that the manager was VERY knowledgeable about the G2x. We chatted for a while and he revealed that they only have 10 in stock. He ended up adding my name to one G2x box for me. I watched him go to the back of the room and added my name to it. He also said that they are expecting more phones tomorrow.
i called my local tmo corp store yesterday and was told "just try to be here at 10." the rep mentioned that they'd have "plenty" in stock and he didn't think that it'd be sold out quickly.
I'm getting more and more sick of my Galaxy Nexus by the day. The LG G3 is on sale on Amazon right now for $50, and is my current front runner for replacement, but I'm looking forward to the New Moto X, and possibly new Droid Maxx.
Does anybody know what time Motorola's event is today?
i have been looking for 20 mins and no website indicates what time it starts! annoying!

I posted in a comment thread over at droid-life asking if anybody knows.
Apparently last year, they had an NDA, and it was a closed event, so that's probably the case now.
Once the NDA lifted, articles started rolling out, around 1 pm last year after the event. There was no live stream or anything though.
Seems like a silly way to do a launch event, IMO.

I seem to be getting a lot of questions regarding Motorola's "event" today and I keep seeing this question pop up on G+. Well gang, here's the deal. There's multiple private sessions going on today at the Moto HQ. Today is a time for members of the press to get a hands-on with the new Motorola hardware and ask questions in a classroom like fashion. This is not a public event and nothing will be showed or posted for a while. You'll have to wait for tomorrow's launch event.
Sound familiar? This is how the Moto X event went last year.

I decided about a month ago I was going to get a new phone, and was looking for good specs but low price without signing a contract (AT&T) is my carrier. I just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 from them in December, but it was only 16gb and locked up tighter than fort knox. So, after 2 months of struggling to operate within 16gb of memory, I decided I wanted something better.
So, I searched around and found the Oneplus. However this was fraught with getting an invite from someone. So, I created an account on their site, store and forums. Then looked around a bit, but asked for nothing. This was mid January, and after looking around I decided i needed to wait until now to get one. So I never looked back. Well, the morning of the day I was going to get serious, I got an invite direct from oneplus, without ever asking for it. So I went ahead and ordered it.
Just wondering if this is a rare occurance , or does oneplus eventually just give everyone an invite after a month or so?
Everyone just eventually gets an invite, they're not reading your mind. There's no timeframe on it though, they dispense invites to coincide with their manufacturing capability.

I signed up around after black friday and received 2 invitations since then. I never used them though so I guess they didn't send anymore. That was over a month ago.
I see, so everyone does get an invite at some point. That means that many of the people running around pleading for an invite when they "claim" to have been waiting for months and not gotten one yet means they are being less than honest with the rest of the forum members.
Last May, I purchased Backcountry Navigator Pro from the Amazon App Store. It hadn't seen much use until recently when I started spending a lot of time on the hiking trails.
I was interested in checking out one of their premium addons (in-app purchase) but it kept giving me errors about premium addons not being available in my market. I shot an email off to the developer, who noticed that I was on version 5.0.3 and instructed me to update to the newest (5.7.4) via google play. Problem is, Google Play - while showing that app installed on my phone - doesn't keep it up to date. My assumption is because it came from Amazon. So, I contacted the developer again and explained the situation. I was told that they had pulled that app from Amazon about 7 months back (shortly after I had purchased it). I was told to contact Amazon and request a refund so that I could re-purchase the app on Google Play.
So, I contact Amazon help desk. I explain the situation to them. They respond that there is nothing they can do, and instruct me to contact the developer.
So here I am, sitting on a $14.00 paid app that I can't actually use, a developer that is either unwilling or unable to help, a google play that won't update an app if it wasnt purchased through them, and amazon unwilling to refund me.
My question is simple... does anyone here know of another way to get this app updated without shelling out another $14 for it?
Side note - Lesson learned. Don't offer support to 3rd party app stores. It'll bite you in the ass.

Hate to break it to you, but you won't be able to do anything here.
