Last time I checked I couldnt find any but if there is one out there it would most likely be on Youtube.
Well just went and did it without ever doing a digitizer replacement before now my beautiful g2x is flawless even fixed my backlight bleed 100% somehow.

Why didn't you make a video?
No video camera and the video would've been 3 hours long

LOL.....were you sweating bricks until you saw it boot back up?
Yes I was a little worried but i was REALLY careful to not tear ribbon cables or soldered wires while taking it apart and man the glue that holds the digitizer down is ridiculously strong!

Did u heat it with a heating gun? That helps a lot. A hair dryer works too but takes a little longer.

I wonder what you did that fixed your screen bleed?

+1. That's funny as hell.
Where did you buy the digitizer? I need to buy and LCD and the Digitizer but im not sure the build quality will be good.
EBay but the listing I got it from jacked the price up

If its the same one I saw from gadget fix on ebay its for $349 that way too much. I found the digitizer for the p990 but im not sure if it works. I know the LCD work because ive read a few ppl doing it but i havent been abe to find anyone yet saying that the digitizer works too. They should because it the same phone but i want to make sure before I do it. My biggest issue is that im stuck, I dont know if i should just wait another week and get the sensation or fix the g2x.
Hey, about a month ago I dropped my G2X and the screen cracked. I got it fixed at some shady place (yeah i know my fault haha) and now I cant get signal or data. The screen and phone are 100% functional its just that I can't get any signal. I'm running stock 2.2.2, any ideas?
I have also tried a new sim card, didnt work :/
Have you had signal or data at all after the repair?

I don't know how the internal of the g2x look like but maybe a flex cable got ripped a little or a wire to the antenna is lose... just a possibility... you'll get that when you take an expensive phone to a shady place

Don't know if this will help or not.
EDIT: Can't seem to figure out how to embed the Youtube video properly:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K77Xepb6yd8
I opened it and it looked like the antenna cable was frayed? Not sure if it's supposed to be like that, I included a few pics. It was connected though, is there anyway to replace it?
http://imgur.com/T3bR2,y3n0h,w2F1d
Yea that shouldn't be like that... that connector can't be soldered back or just shoved in like that... I got some extra wire connector that look just like that from my old hd2... you tell me if that will work... its about 4in or so long... both end have same connector... if you say yea... I can mail it to you...
I tried to take a picture of it at close up like you to show how it look but its all fuzzy... lol well just let me know if you want to give it a try bro
Here's my email... [email protected]

The antenna to the G2x seems about an inch or two longer than the one the HD2 uses, although I might be wrong, because I seem to remember the HD2 cable winding around alot.
Its the white one... the black one is shorter... I was putting my hd2 back together while posting my last message.. I was in the same boat as he was but worst... the Guy that work on my phone did not even put it back together... he gave it back to me with it being apart and had major issues cause he Jimmy rig the crap out of my phone... I gave it to him to repair as a whole phone... so I ended up repairing it myself... and its working fine!!! Just want to save frost some money... xda been very helpful to me since I became a member

dropped my phone a few times before getting a case so I'm trying to find a replacement bezel. so far ive only been able to find the front face cover or the lcd. anyone know where I can get the middle bezel?
Where did you find them? Did you check ebay?
You might be able to find a broken g2x for cheap to use for parts if buying the parts separately comes out to cost around the same

This might help. Contact seller to find out what's included

That listing doesn't include the trim piece.
I am currently looking also and I have found these:
1)
Code:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Front-Bezel-Back-Housing-Cover-Case-LG-G2x-P990k-OEM-/160701841578?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item256a9380aa#ht_1823wt_1163
2)
Code:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Original-Housing-Faceplate-frame-Cover-Front-Middle-Panel-LG-G2x-P990-/320824421220?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab2a02b64#ht_1868wt_1396
I need to buy the second one. I do not have the phone in front of me right now, but I think that is the middle bezel.
globaldirectparts.com. search optimus 2x and g2x. I think that piece should be interchangeable.

So, I tore this part of the motherboard.
Should I solder a connection back in there or am I screwed?
Try soldring it to c if it woorks else u need to buy a new motherboard flex cable n its not that expensive

I looked at it closer and that ribbon has about 50 small wires running the length of it, so there's no way I can solder it. The ribbon is wired into the blue PCB, and the whole assembly runs about $50. Not worth it for a phone I intended to use only for testing ROMs.

I also tore this piece on my motherboard during a digitizer replacement now no wifi,Bluetooth or volume buttons. I am going to replace it (30$ on eBay). Im hoping it solves my problem. I was also wondering should I reflash my rom after a dissasembly?

I can't speak to that part. I got this phone from a friend who shattered the screen, and I couldn't even flash a Rom because of the sorry state of the digitizer.

Repair your phone as soon as possible because this spot is due to overheating and if you are using OC then use without it otherwise the only solution is to go Repair Shop
No i am not using it overclocked. I left it tethering and came back and found that. I dnt have an htc repair shop where i am and i dont trust these other repair guys. So i wanna knoe if its the lcd or what that is broken.

Well, your LCD is definitely breaking, its spreading out when hot because the heat makes the liquid more thin I believe. If you are sure all other functions are normal and that you are not getting any forced overheat reboots or the digitizer is fully functional then I would at minimum replace the LCD, if possible replace the LCD + digitizer as a whole unit as its easier to fit

No! That's a very dangerous thing to do! It won't help the screen and moisture will build up on your mother board and kill your phone!
