Since the Nexus S will be sold in-store only and not online by Google themselves there is no custom engraving option. I really liked mine on my N1 and it would be nice to keep them consistent when getting a new Nexus phone. It really made it feel like my phone.
I wouldn't do this, but I'm assuming one would have to send their Nexus S in to some special customization company to get it engraved?

Hahaha, whoops! Forgot it was plastic since the feel of the outer casing of a phone doesn't bother me. I say that now but when I go into Best Buy on the 16th I may change my mind.
Oh well!
Take the cover to a local engraver, they'll do it.
Check under "wedding decorations" almost all wedding shops have an engraver. Should run you $20 to $30 bucks.

Dont forget the N1 was plastic as well....but it just had the metal band around the side and the back

it's a 44 cent stamp. the rest is for the cheap protector
that makes sense, anyhow, is the protector good? i mean... i payed a lot for the zagg one... and now i feel ripped off LOL
6 dollars for shipping for one for my g2 and my wifes vibrant...

I wouldnt really call it cheap.
Its the same 3M military grade rubberized plastic that Zagg and the rest of them use just they order the big roll then stamp it out they make maybe a dollar off of each phone after shipping and supply.
But its about half as thick as the Zagg and doesnt quite feel as rubbery but hell you are paying 3 dollars and it will be far easyer to fit in the Slip Grip car dock ^_^
its good stuff, been on my g2 for about 2 weeks now.
Just ordered mine anr can't wait. Great product. Used it before.

Same with me. It's pretty good and the screen protector feels good as well.
None of that orange peel stuff neither, the air bubbles and water inside also went away in 3 days and it looks perfect, flawless now. I wish it also protected the sliver metal around the screen but it's good enough for $3.
And also, I like the glossy look of the phone when it's under light.

Nice find!!! I went through SOO many G1's. I want to make my G2 live at least a year!
These stealth shields are nice for sure.... $3.50 for two of them off of ebay, free shipping, arrived in 4 days....
Hell of a deal, Hell of a product.... Lower cost and better quality than anything I can get at work at cost.....
They also threw in a cleaning cloth and a squegee to put it on with... this is the service everybody should deliver!

Nice find! I ordered one for my G2 and one for my girlfriend's G2. Just under $5 for the two. Much cheaper then the screen protectors or cases T-Mo sells.

Yep, The battery cover has its own little skin you can put on.
My only gripe with the whole kit is it doesnt cover the corners of the phone very well.
One quick question: does the skin cover the camera?

Damn, I hate the feeling of going over to wipe a "smudge" from your screen but finding out it is a scratch. Worst part is, I bought screen protectors but haven't put them on yet :'( . Am I the first? What would you guys do if you were me? Go exchange in store? Call and make them send me a new one?

Any clue how? I keep my phone in my old G1 nylon sleeve but have no protector or shell/skin/etc on it otherwise. It's either in the sleeve or in my hand, though.

I think I left a plastic ball point pen in my pocket with my phone for a few minutes earlier today. Maybe the tip is metal? Also I keep my keys in my other pocket but MAYBE, SOMEHOW my keys got put in the same pocket as my phone (which I severely doubt). Because My keys are the only things I can think of that would have scratched it =(. I'll do a bit my investigation later.... It sucks too because if I exchange it I'm afraid I'll get a phone with lint under the screen. My first mytouch had lint under the screen so I exchanged it for my current one, which WAS perfect. Gosh, I'm so pissed right now..

Damn. That sucks. I just took my screen protector and my gel case off. I hate he added bulk of the case, but hate trying to get it in and out of my pocket even more. And the lint it collects is super awesome. Just takes away from the aesthetics so much.
Also, I had a screen protector I got off amazon... 5 for $1.99 delivered. They are identical to zagg except for less surface texture... but, still rubbery and tacky feeling.
Has anyone found a full face screen protector that is the rigid glass like type?

make up a story about how you have a hardward issue and you have tried to master reset the phone. then they will send you a warranty replacement.
i always do this once my phones get too beat up
just call 611 and say your (speaker phone or track pad or anything) doesnt work and theyll have you do a factory reset once you say you finished reseting the phone and tell them it still doesnt work theyll send you a new one under the 12 month warrenty
lol watch out it gets addicting :/ anytime i dropped a phone id just return it lol ive seen over 20 G1's pass through :/ only thing you they dont replace is back cover and battery

+1 on the realook. Add a G1 oem sleeve for 4 or 5 bucks from ebayyyy and you got protection for under $20.

I have to say I ordered this as a stop gap until some of the custom made brands came on line. But, hey, for £6.65 delivered including stylus, screen protector and belt clip, this will do just fine . It is especially useful for propping up the phone at various angles to watch videos and the credit card slots mean I can leave my wallet at home most of the time .
please be very carful, i ordered a pouch from ebay for £3 and the first time i put it in, i thought it was stiff becuase of the leather, but when i took it out, the piece of fabric inside scratched my screen so badly :[ :[ i was SO angry, but thank god it was just the screen protector! i threw away the pouch right then and got a refund from ebay!

This is not a pouch! No way could it scratch the screen . I cannot be negative just because it was cheap. Real leather too - unless they are injecting smells now too lol!

For £6.65 - and everything you get with it - it has to be a bargain that I thought I would pass on to you guys. Sorry if I have upset the cynics. If it falls apart in a year or two (which wouln't surprise me) then I'll just send off for another one .

I just ordered the book version of this. My wife has the flip one. Quality for the money and no way of scratching or damaging the phone. Not sure what all the warnings are about. Very strange!

The exact item I got doesn't seem to be listed any more but this is from the same seller and a near identical picture (mine had white stitching) but this one is over £2 cheaper!
It took 10 days or so which is not bad given the weather problems,

Just testing it, I dropped it from about two feet and it just bounced. It has the nice little lip aound the front that protects the screen.
It also Recesses the camera lense.

It doesn't look much thicker than a standard TPU case. So I would say you're still going to be pretty slim.
Nope. It actually hardly adds to it. Plus the phone feels less fragile. I really like it. I may buy the white one too.

Not like it did. But its flush. I lay it on its face now tho as the front is raised quite nicely.

Dont go for snap on, that i can say.. they dont look good. I bought one crystal clear snap on, put it on and within few minutes i took it off.. if you want to protect your phone then go for otterbox and if you are looking for barely there type of cases then choices are limited.. i am now using amzer shellster which is basically a vombo of shellcase and holster. Forget the holster use the shellcase. Try fommy.co.in they have it for 849.
(I think i have done enough advertising for the shellcase, may be amzer owes me a second shellster )
