Create GPSSetup2 Shortcut on Homescreen (Needs Launcher Pro) - Galaxy 3 Android Development

Guide to create GPSSetup2 shortcut on the homescreen. First you'll have to download and install the homescreen and launcher replacement LauncherPro (Attached, link at the bottom). Then, follow these steps.
1. Press the center key on the phone. You'll get two options on the screen: 'LauncherPro' and 'TwLauncher'. Select LauncherPro. Let LauncherPro load.
2. Now again press the center key and this time select TwLauncher.
3. After it loads, press and hold your finger on an empty spot on the screen.
4. In the list that pops out, select Shortcuts.
5. Then select Activities.
6. After a few seconds you'll get a long list of Applications. Scroll down to GPSSetup2. Touch GPSSetup2, it'll expand to show more options. From this expanded list, select the first option i.e GPSSetup2 (com.sec.android.app.GPSSetup2.GpsSetup).
7. That's it. You'll now have a shortcut to GpsSetup2 on the homescreen.
8. After this is done, simply go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and uninstall Launcher Pro if you don't want to use it.
9. If you do want to use it, press the center key, tick 'Use by default for this action', then press 'LauncherPro' (Much better than the Samsung Launcher and homescreen, except for the less colorful icons).
That's it. No need to enter that long code anymore to enter GPSSetup2 everytime..

You can add a GPSSetup2 shortcut to your homescreen. You'll need Launcher Pro installed. It's not necessary to use it as your launcher, but it needs to be installed to be able to get the Activities list in shortcuts that can be placed on the homescreen.
To do this, long press (on an empty area) on the homescreen, select Shortcuts, then Activities. After a few seconds you'll get a long list of Applications. Scroll down to GPSSetup2. Touch GPSSetup2, it'll expand to a list. From this list, select the first option i.e GPSSetup2 (com.sec.android.app.GPSSetup2.GpsSetup).
This will create a shortcut for GPSSetup2. No need to enter that long code anymore..
After you create the shortcut on the homescreen, you can uninstall Launcher Pro if you don't use it..

Here is what you need to do:
Press the home key
Click the windows icon on the top left of the screen
The last 2 entries in the displayed list will say "Programs" and "Settings" - you need to click on "Settings"
You are now in the "Personal" tab in Settings - click on the "Today" icon
There are 2 tabs in this screen - "Appearance" and "Items" - you need "items"
A sorted list of the "Plugins" available in the today screen are listed. You need to tick the one called "TouchFLO 3D
Sorted!

T
hanks, but if I had setting button I did not make the thread....I don't have setting button so i can't go to "today"! help me...how can i enter in Setting across Explore folder???
I can't understand why your settings menu would disappear - is it possible the language on the phone is displaying "settings" as some other word?
Anyway, there are many other ways to go into "Settings" - here is just one option:
Install mortbuttons from http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=page&entry=mb_overview&action=view&menu=14
Use your file explorer to go to \windows\Start Menu\Programs\Mortbuttons
Run the file "Settings (MB).lnk"
Select the "Today" icon and then use the instructions in my above post to switch TouchFLO on.
Can I say that for a guy with just 3 posts, I think the tone of your posts is a little agressive considering you are asking people to give freely of their time to help you. I was going to ignore your response, but am giving you the benefit of the doubt because of possible language misinterpretations.
Maybe try to give a little with your future posts!
Thanks so much for help.... I want to tell to all guys sorry for my tone, i don't know if what i wrote was correct...Thanks again for all patience.

[Tutorial] How to change Icons without modding .apk file

I've seen a lot of requests on how to change icons so I decided to make a noob-friendly tutorial for you guys, in which shows a great way to change your icon almost instantly and without needing to mod an .apk file!
1. Download some icons and put them on your sd card. A good website to get icons from is DeviantArt
2. Download an app called FolderOrganizer from the Market.
3. Open up the FolderOrganizer application and go to the "Apps" tab.
4. Find the app that you want to apply an icon change too. Once you find it, press the down arrow beside it. You should see a pop up, and within the pop up, you'll see an icon called 'Icon'. Press that, and look for the icon you want to change it too on your SD card.
5. Once you have done that, go to your home screen, long press in an empty area, and select Widgets, and add the widget called "FolderOrganizer Item".
6. Choose "Apps", and then choose the app with the new icon.
7. The app should now be on your desktop with the new icon.
If you have any questions, feel free to post it here, or pm me.
I hope I helped some of you.

[Q] TNT Lite 4.30 Lock Screen Question

Sorry, I don't have enough posts to post in the dev section.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Installed tnt lite 4.30 and eveything is looking good except for home button issue which roebeet is already aware of. I don't have the lock screen though. I thought that was one of the things 4.30 added. Do you have to enable it in settings somewhere? I looked all through there but did not find anything about it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Install Launcher Pro, then add a shortcut to the home screen, select "Activities" look for Settings and expand it (click the arrow circle), from settings choose "com.android.settings.ChooseLockGeneric" it will open a windows to rename the shortcut , rename as desire and after that click on that shortcut it will open the lock configuration screen. Select pin, pattern...

Here's one method:
1) Install Astro File Manager from the Android Market
2) Press an open spot on your desktop (like you would to add a widget)
3) Tap the "More" tab toward the right of your desktop
4) Tap "Astro"
5) Wait a few seconds and the Astro file browser window will pop up. Browse to and select the file you want to place on the desktop.
A shortcut will be created on your desktop. When you tap on it you will possibly get a selection menu. Click the "Use by default for this action" box, then select Polaris Office.
That should make it work for you any time you tap on it.
Mike
Thank you!

Voice Application Widget That Can Open Shortcuts

This problem has been bugging me for quite a while and I would be tremendously happy if someone could help me with it.
I have script shortcuts on my phone (using GScripts) that do a variety of things, varying from opening my garage to turning off my computer. I also have Widget Locker installed so that the first screen I see is the widgets/shortcuts placed on the page.
What I want is a way to simply press a button and have it search and open up the desired shortcut. I've tried things like AppVoiceLauncher and Voice App Launcher (free), and they work perfectly with my device, but the problem is that they don't open shortcuts, only programs.
So does anyone know of a way to be able to long-press the search button or press a widget that would search and run my GScript scripts? I want to be able to drive and press a button on my phone and simple say "open garage" ("garage" being the name of the shortcut script) and work without any other gestures with the phone.
Does anyone know of an app that I may have overlooked that does this? Or possibly a workaround?
Thanks for any and all help.
