Here is a Christmas themed gingerbread keyboard, fresh from the ovens of CrashedUser Studios.
Thanks go out to CrashV2010 for the original idea and for all of the testing, help, and multiple signings of zips for me.
Thanks also to theimpaler747 for answering the questions we had, and for pointing us in the right direction.
Directions:
1. Download the attached zip.
2. Place on the root of your sd card.
3. Flash from recovery.
4. Enjoy!
Tested and confirmed to work on CM6.1 and aospROM. It should, in theory, work on any device that can run the gingerbread keyboard. Note: this is for MDPI devices only. Be advised, this will replace your standard android keyboard.
See third post for screen shots.
CHANGE LOG
12/15/10 - Themed the speech to text screen. Minor tweaks to other .png's. Unless this starts exploding phones or something, this is the final version.
12/14/10 - Added snow cover to tops of keys, tweaked other keys, added lights version.

She's digging the lights... btw glad to see there's still a dev/themer/hacker/modder or two left. The mass migration off the hero forums is sad. Especially since I doubt any other community has milked every drop outta their phones the way this little phone has been wrung...

There is and I have the instructions based on the Vibrant. Unfortunately I've had problems getting it to work. If someone wants to help out on this, the post that I was following is here.
I know that the Fascinate guys have gotten it to work. Nitsuj17 gave me the link along with others when he helped me out with some theme porting questions.
Quick Boot I use it and love it. that is the free version.

That's what I use too, but I use the pay version to get the hot boot option.
What he's wanting is a way to not have an extra app added to the phone, though.

Yeah, it is still being updated. It just isn't a T-Mobile theme, which is kind of a deal breaker. I don't want to install a permanent skin anymore since it came out.
Just another port of a chinese ROM. It only really stands apart from other chinese ROMS in a couple small things.
The main difference is that it is really not very customizable(eg you cannot move the app drawer icon from the right side of the dock, or edit any options available to most launchers).
I am guessing the author of the Rom is just trying to come up with something simple and clean.

looks like a good start, ill try it out when i learn chinese
lol.. The screenshots were taken from the chinese site. It's almost fully translated. The grouping option in the launcher is not fully translated. And the custom file manager app was not translated so I replaced it with the asop file manager..
Edit: Also removed the chinese app store and added gapps.

I haven't had a chance to play with an actual motoblur rom(even though I'm trying to port it), but it seems from screenshots/vids of motoblur that this ROM may be trying to emulate it a bit.

I never meant to ignore you, sorry if it came off that way. My phone has been busted and this was my last replacement shift. Anymore broken and I would have received an "equivelant device"... I'll be uploading my updated kernel source soon. Also, I can point any of y'all in the right direction about building/compiling sense kernels. Gtalk me drob311420. Good luck!
