Dear People,
How do these stack up against WP7/HD7 now that the specs/features of Nexus S/Gingerbread are released?
It's not hard to find the specs, and I think if you use search you wouldn't need to create yet another flamebait thread.

You should only post in the dev forum stuff you made/developed
There are a lot of questions already on the Q&A forum about this. Which no one knows for sure yet. So be patient.
4.0 confirmed for nexus S, so maybe we will have for galaxy s also..

i was wondering that if sum1 can port window os for our i9003 device.....
it has already been done for htc hd2 see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912416
Htc Hd2 is a Windows OS phone and Android has been ported to it.
And not the other way round.

Also windows os is closed source so i think it would be illegal to port it
!
Dont post this kind of thing in development god dammit, learn to use formus or dont use them.and yeah it is stupid since hd2 is windows powered.
Buy a windows phone instead ...

Don't need to be so aggressive. This thread should be in the general section though, labelled request.
On topic- like devilhell said, I think its closed source , so porting it wouldn't be such a good idea
Cheers

Hi,
I have an HTC sensation software number 1.50.415.1 (living in Lebanon) and I am trying to search for an update to Android 4 all the time but getting the same answer always: No update / new OS version for your device.
As I heart, the Android 4 can be installed on this device since more than 6, 7 months. Can anyone tell why I can not find an update for this device? Isn't there an update or is there any way to upgrade to Android 4 (without jailbreaking sure)?
How to check whether the installed OS is official or not? (since after contacting HTC support team, they said this software is not official while I am sure it is. Anyway nothing to say about HTC support team that are very careless and non-professional).
Thank you for your help in advance,
Fadi

Should I re-post there or I the replies will be here?
If I should re-post there so how should I move this thread?
Thanks.

Hello and welcome.
Yes there is an Ubuntu touch port in the works but the development is suspended. Since the final official build got released on the 17th, you could expect it for Nexus S in the following weeks. And no, it replaces Android. No idea about performance.
andrei, Thanks for the reply. I will keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks.
