Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that check Fus now should work with GT-P1000. It is also possible to add GT-P1000 specific presets! Just PM me to add one
You can use this app to check if there's any new firmware pushed to Kies, instead of having to start Kies at all!
You can find more info here here.
It works

Check FUS finds an update, but apparently I'm running afirmware that Kies refuses to accept as updatable. Does anyone kno what controls whether Kies thinks the firmware is allowed or not?

The info for my device follows
Product code: TMB
PDA: T849UVJJB
CSC:T849TMBJJB
Phone: T849UVJJB
The model name according to T-mobile is SGH-T849. Check fus shows the same.
Thanks!
Im reciving a update today via kies, but fus is still showing deleted, so i guess the dl folder is somewhere else..
i would like to mention that i did run kies reg patcher 1.7.0.0 for fun and replaced all info from fus.
2sec later a update was available.

I have found the problem, upgrade mode was not enabled, which made it hide some updates and file location. It will come a small fix soon!
Sweet man
Update through kies went finally on a 32bit system, on 64 it would fail ugly...
The kies patcher works great, but fus is telling me now im on unofficial firmware, odd.
Ran the firmwareupdate again in kies for dbl check and it gives me the same update so
updating kies reg patcher with new firmware should solve that.
New version!
v.0.6.0
+ Last used preset/manual input is stored. (Not if you have ROOT, it will be replaced by the devices info)
* Changed the output format
* Changed to "Upgrade Mode" in the request to FUS. Will now return better output
* Fixed the order in the preset list
Automatic check will come in next release!

hi,
I want to Know where i can found the product code of my device like: GT-N 8000EAAITV.
And is possible modify this code flashing other firmWare or is it Unique?
Please help me.
This code can be found in Kies (when the Note is connected) or in Settings - Device information.
The "code" identified the current firmware installed, you cannot modify it as such (and it would also make no sense), but an update to the firmware will result in a changed code.
However, you do not seem familiar with flash upgraded, stick with the ones supplied by Samsung. Otherwise you might brick your device.

Kies shows the product/region code in the section where it informs about possible firmware updates, for my device it is DBT (German device).
Beside CheckFus, I yet did not find a code to access that information on the phone directly.

CheckFus is correct, as it reads out the data from the device. In Kies, the country code is in brackets at the end.
Have a look at www.sammobile.com for the firmware version available, then you can compare.
As far as I can see everything can change when you flash as firmware. Normally you stick with the one for your region (otherwise it might not flash or brick the device), but I flashed the HC 3.2 P7501 (Tab 10.1N) on my Tab 10.1 (which have identical hardware, just different design due to the apple lawsuits) and my 10.1 reported itself as 10.1N. Flashing the ICS 10.1 firmware, it was a 10.1 (without N) again.
But where is your need to change that? As long as the Note 10.1 works, don't touch it if you are not 100% sure about what you are doing.

I'm not interested to change it but i want to be sure that my device is an italy device.
Is possible that my seller flashing italian firmware on an american/europe device version and sell me this like an italian?
PS
(have you also any solution to the problem of import pdf in snote?)
THANKS THANKS THANKs to all
ITV should be the Italian version. I doubt that there are hardware differences between the versions, the firmware should do the localization. There have even been reports that a 8013 (US WIFI) is identical with the 8010 (EU WIFI), only the firmware is different.
Was the package closed and sealed when you got the phone? Where is the problem you fear.
Regarding the S-Note PDF import: Beside that I use ezPDF for PDF view/annotation, S-Note properly imports with my device.

Don't hurry please, keep in mind that on a Sunday, people might have other stuff to do.
What version do you have (Settings, App Manager, All, S Note, Version)?
Mine is 5r11736FV03
BUT S Note is part of the firmware, it cannot be modified without root rights and if modified, it might prevent any further OTA updates (as OTA are diff updates and if S Note does not match, a diff cannot be applied). I tried it once to install an older one and S Note just crashed.

I've tried changing the time stamps but nothing seems to work. Can someone upload to another host? or shed light on what to do with the time stamps?
I don't see any info regarding an update anywhere on the web. You would think someone would write about it.
Hey,
I'll try to reverse the update process over the next days, it seems it requires more than just valid timestamp to receive the valid download.
This update is an OTA update and does not contain the full system image. Mounting the rootfs fails, I think it's more likely an incremental patch file or similar.
Nevertheless, you can easily sniff it yourself. Just make sure you use an on-device sniffer because Samsung uses a technique to bypass proxies.
Once set-up, start the Gear Manager on your phone and search for an update for your watch.
Furthermore I requested the open-source parts of the Gear S2 at Samsung. They made available the files for the last firmware here:
opensource.samsung.com - search for SM-R720
Best regards,
- S

It's more likely for research. Normally you simply update via the Gear Manager. Nevertheless it should be possible to upload the file via Odin as well.
There is a new version of it called NetOdin especially for non USB devices like this.

is this firmware update worth side loading? I don't think people on "Non Supported" devices will be able to get the update normally, so this might be the only option.

I agree, I did not notice any major changes after the update.
As said, this is for research purpose in my view. The update *should* only be applied via the official Samsung Gear app. This update file is for the Classic Bluetooth EU version btw.
Anyway, since the files seem to be patches and not a full OS, we might not go too far with this. Mounting does not work for me, so rooting can not be applied to it, yet
If someone finds the full firmware somehow (maybe call Samsung and pretend a brick?), let us know

Interesting, someone succsessfully testet this update? I am quite interessted in this Version because of my US Version of my S2 classic. Can I overwrite es US setting for the metric system and my anguage s-voice?
I can't really deal with that fahrenheit degree.
Does this update fix the notification issues? The issues I see is when the watch doesn't show the always on screen it will not vibrate when notifications come in.
I just got the update on my s2 sport and have not really noticed any differences. It said performance so maybe the battery life will be a little better than what it already is! I'll keep playing with it to see if there are any changes I'm missing.
Got the update last night and so far, no real changes. There is susposed to be an update in November to enable Samsung Pay. Can't see that this update has that.
I can confirm that I have repeatedly been able reconnect my S2 to my Nexus 5 on Marshmallow after I installed the S2 firmware update that was available in the USA in the Gear app under the About Gear settings. I went from firmware version R720XXU2AOIL to R720XXU2AOJ3. I found that even after installing the firmware, I had to do one Light Reset on the S2 before the S2 would reconnect.
So far so good. Have intentionally gone out of range 6 times and reconnected all 6 times. Will report back if situation changes.
There is a firmware update available for the watch from the gear manager. My update was 5.30MB in size and says it has bug fixes.
Hi. Am I the only one who was unpleasantly surprised that the secret codes doesn't work after nougat update? I just flashed via Odin the ROM BTU downloaded from Samfirmware website and used HOME_CSC. Is something that I can do? Or someone else encountered this problem?

Can someone, Please, help providing me with BGL CSC (it is for Bulgaria - not branded). I have downloaded the latest G930F BGL firmware from SamMobile which is multi-CSC but when I install it, it installs XEO CSC (Poland). If you could help me with advise I would appreciate it.
@rifek4, can I change the CSC with Phone Info app without rooting? I don't want to root.
@rifek4, thank for all your help. I will skip the part with the rooting because I do not want to trigger the knox and I want to use Samsung Pass/Pay, Google Pay etc. I thought that there might be a single BGL CSC file to flash or a button combination like *#272*imei# (which is not working).

For those looking to flash their devices immediately, U1 firmware is now available via Frija and other such tools that pull from Sammy's servers. Manual Entry is required, XAA sales code.

Standard MO for Samsung is to remove the Manual Entry requirement once the official launch date hits. Once that date comes, you should be able to pull it via Automatic.
Someone in the Fold 4 forum verified that current Odin 3.14.x (patched of course) works fine for flashing
Happy flashing!
Sweet! Thanks.
Thanks! Just successfully flashed this U1 firmware over my AT&T firmware, I did it with the home_csc so all my data is still there.

Yep
Does it enable bootloader unlock? I'm not usually a Samsung person but would consider it if this was the case.

That's a U not a U1.
Frija still not picking up anything with automatic selection yet for me.
Does flashing this u1 firmware over u device have negative repercussions? Would the device still get updates as they're released for u1?
Yes

1. Could have negative repercussions, yes. Depends on the way that you tend to use your device. If you don't like it, you can flash right back to U
2. Yes, U1 updates work as normal
I flashed and now I have att bloatware on my device. Is this normal?
ahh, just realized I probably downloaded a different file.

How would I go about flashing back to U? everything I've seemingly tried has yielded nothing in Frija.
I'd rather have 5G+ on the ATT firmware/

SamFW.com is great for firmware, but they're not gonna have an AT&T USERDATA file. I'm not sure if everything will work properly without it. I have a source that can get me Samsung firmware for any USA device, but I have to pay him for each one

Flashed and was able to enable WiFi-calling with US Mobile that I previously didn't have the option with July update. This is OneUI 4.1.1 btw, and the bottom of the screen is reserved for taskbar which is NOT enabled for Flip 4 so you get a black bar at the bottom in apps, just so you know.
This morning my flip4 finally received the September security patch along with firmware F721U1UEU1AVIA through OTA. My flip4 is an unlocked US phone, I'm on West coast. I haven't noticed any changes yet.
Download Samfw Frp Tool
Remove Sim card but keep wifi on
Change CSC to TMB
Check for update and install
Insert Sim card back and CSC will change automatically to XAA
NO DATA WILL BE LOST
I went from AVG6 ATT and switched to T mobile and im getting upgrades. Lets see if it goes up to A13.
Running that FRP tool on Virus total produced 5 hits... I'd double check the reliability of that tool before installing and hooking up your phone.

Haven't checked it myself but they provide virustotal link on their website and it wasn't showing malware

Pretty much all tools like that will have some hits, in at least one database, due to the exploits that they use. Doesn't necessary mean that it's malicious
How do you find the latest stock firmware for USA, I tried XAA/ATT/TMB with Frija but didn't work.

Why are you looking for USA firmware, for a non USA phone? That's not how it works

I bought it overseas. I thought it would work by using my carrier stock firmware.

The only non USA devices that you can flash USA firmware to are Canadian devices
This is so awesome, i'm so glad that this was just recently posted. I just received my phone a couple days ago with S908U1UES2AVI5. I followed the steps from the OP and immediately was able to download and install the update. It is currently on the black screen with the android updating progressbar, waiting for this to finish.
Edit: Just to note that I have XAG
Edit2: Updated to S908U1UEU2BVJA
Thanks!
has anyone got November security update post ONE UI 5?

Here u go.
But this version didn't worked for me, so I had to use older version.
I threw in a Tmobile simcard and the update went through, then after the install I swapped back my original Sim.

It's really easy. Enable USB debugging in developers mode, plug in phone to your PC and open FRP Tool, write TMB in CSC field and press change CSC. That's it
Ok, seems that it's time to stop waiting and just use what we have on hand here.
Im on factory unlocked S908U1, in Europe, with European SIM.
Build number: SP1A.210812.016.S908U1UES2AVI5
Service provider software version:
SAOMC_SM-S908U1_OYM_XAA_12_0028
XAA/XAA,ATT/ATT
Here I'm puzzled, because I've never used eSIM, and it shows ATT for some reason.
Question for more experienced members here:
Is there any problem for me to update with TMB? If it's all the same, why we are waiting so long updates for unlocked s22?

Change CSC to TMB and you'll get update. Don't forget to remove Sim before changing it
