Man this sucks! How come I never get to see ANY apps in the Samsung Apps!?!?
OK; I keep seeing references to the Samsung App Store, but there isn't such an app on my T-Mobile Tab... Does anyone have an APK for it? Is that all that is necessary to install it?
Samsung App is the dumbest way of distributing apps not only because it doesn't work properly (especially if you flash different firmware) but because it's regionally controlled by negligent and lazy phone providers. Why can't we have equality? !?!?

Agreed...... NFS not showing on the UK Tab and Asphalt 5 HD is the wrong version for the Tab.

Asphalt HD works, but it is an enormous app (100MB+) so I have excluded it from my Titanium Backups.
NFS Shift isn't available in Samsung Apps (UK). I guess one way to make appear is to change the Product Code via the IMEI service mode...yuk !

That is so weird in that Asphalt 5 runs flawlessly for you.
I've tried Asphalt 5 downloaded from the Samsung App Store and on my UK non-carrier Tab it does not fill the screen but instead runs in the top left side of the Tab and non of the buttons correlate to where you press. As such it is totally unplayable.

Yep its odd. I had to download the galaxy tab specific version from gameloft website (asphalt 5)

Was that a Demo? as I can't seem to locate a demo file at Gameloft for the Tab.
Not so sure about this NFS thing anymore. AndroidGuys (or another Android blog) have quoted EA saying NFS will be public to Android users late December. Is the game you got from Samsung Apps a demo or full game?

Trying to understand why we are both on the UK Samsung Apps with your download fine but my download is a corrupt screen.

I've got NFS Shift on my UK tab and it is mint! Best racing game on the Tab! Make's Asphalt 5 look worse than it actually is! (Which is hard!)

I finally found out why the Asphalt 5 from the Samsung store would not work on my UK Tab...... I had another look at the information that was showing for the download and noticed Samsung had changed the update date to the 29th Nov 2010. The one I had previously installed and which would not work correctly was an earlier Nov release.
Downloaded again, installed and this time it works fine.
At last, now I can let me granddaughter play (she loves her cars).

I actually bought that as well loool..
Use the desire hd apk with the galaxy s sd files..
Game works superb EXCEPT , cars you buy are pink ie not shown properly..
Use hood cam though and its a perfect version (nearly lol)
will add all the other games in OP when I get time.
If you want asphalt 6 and others leave posts in the gameloft forum..

edit: I just tried it, worked, pretty badass game, its not so bad they are pink, looks pretty funny tho, have you tried other combinations?

pes indeed has much better game play, but realfoot ball has better graphics, is your version of pes full screen on the tab?
Hi Guys this is an awesome post and very much needed! I followed each link and they all led to the pages for the Motorola Droid. Is there is suppose to be the case? I'm generally finding it very difficult to buy games for the Tab of gameloft's site. For example there is a page for the Tab specific games however only a few actually allow you to purchase. I would like to buy Gangstar Miami Vindicition but can not find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

modern combat 1 and 2 work, nova, Spiderman, dungeon hunters. Heros of Sparta also have tab version and work well, the galaxy s version of splinter cell works good aswell, just the menus are borked

I have been doing some testing for our web site and have come across the new playstation suite (ps pocket version 1.1.1.0.0) apps for the xperia play. Install both these apps attached and update over the one you have (only available on 2.3.4 software and up). Note you do not need to be rooted to install these apps will work on stock.
Screenshots in second post (res evil and gta2 are my psxperia games sorry).
So whats diff about this?
Well sony now have intergrated the ps store into the ps portable app and anything you now buy from the ps store will pop up in the ps portable games launcher.
Will i still be able to use psxperia games?
Yes!! it is still based on the version from the 2.3.4 software so can use the psxperia games from the version 2 converter.
Playstation store can i use an account i made before?
Yes!! use your existing psn accounts but if you have brought any of the ps1 apps from psn before for (eg. Ps3) they wont be the same and will have to buy again (cheeky sony)
Ps store if i buy a game will i have any issues?
NO!! We brought twisted metal 1 and it works perfect on this and using are psn account we where then able to redownload on other xperia plays and other playstation certified divices.

unlike android market you can buy from the uk playsation store if create a uk psn account use a credit card and you will be able to buy ps store games over in any different country. This also works for japan (jap account) store with different titles but only good if can speak it.
Attempting to install on my rooted R800i just keeps giving me "Application not installed".
Thanks for these, already had the store but the pocket app is what i wanted since i too brought Twisted Metal, and wouldn't show up in the app until now. Hopefully Sony will release this officially soon so we can see some updates to the content CTR, GTA, MGS, FF and PSP stuff hopefully

you need to be on sony ericsson firmware 2.3.4 arc or play to be able to install if have this firmware try reboot and try again should install like any normal apk as same permissions built in 2.3.4

I was getting the 800something error at first until I turned WiFi on - not sure if that was already said somewhere or what but thought I'd mention it just in case.

Installed fine on US Verizon R800x CM7 FXP052 CDMA, but got an error 8008103E when trying to access PlayStation store the first go around, then 8008104D as an error code, and now back to *3E.

Have you tried logging in with a Japanese or UK PSN account?
First PSStore start gave me an error (8008104D). On the next start, it worked.
Unsurprisingly, when selecting France, this doesn't work.
Tried my uk psn account, first it came with error code. Now says not the right region.

Just updated in the UK - content is still the same but hopefully it's putting the groundwork in place for new stuff to come out.

It works and is installable on all devices without rooting. But theres just no content.

It would not let me get in without updating. It was only for the store, not for the launcher so I doubt it would affect the games.

The USA store opened up for xperia s and ion in this update (not sure about play). If changed the build.prop under final property's (all R800 to LT26i) or what ever model over in the USA you could use your U.S psn account.

Its not open on the Play, at least not the Verizon one. If its open on others I will be attacking my build.prop at my earliest convenience. Then sending ANOTHER nastygram to Verizon and Sony....

It's not. Hence why there is NO content because there is NO version for the usa yet. Yes changing the build.prop will work, but still does nothing as far as anything in the us region is concerned lol

By changing the build.prop to the other devices you will be able to see games. They set out a collection of games on the store for different devices. The collection from the play and the S ot ion is different. (example. You can buy g-police on the play UK but not the xperia s UK) also the tablet has had access to the psn USA store for months going back to last year.
Ps if you wondering the games brought will have the play controls. It's yes it will state what devices it works on in the description. The apk files are all the same.

XBMC really is designed for tv use currently there are 2 touch screen skins (made by me again) but they still suck on something as small as a phone you really need a tablet at least for it to work half decent.
I guess its a gimmick factor for now that you can actually run it. But don't judge it too harshly unless your using it the way its meant to be on a TV

Its part of the reason why we didn't just ship out apk's or put it straight onto the "Play Store" because its still got a lot of development to go before it really a daily use app. And everyone would just grab and install all the pre-compiled ones without even reading any informational posts about it and complain that its crap when really the main reason the source code is out is so other developers can help us make it lots better for the day it hits the play store
Thats just the way XBMC rolls :laugh: develop in the open and encourage other people to help make it better

Is the touch screen theme installed? I can get it to launch but I can't seem to control anything on my NookColor, was wondering if that might be the issue.
Also, where does the app store its settings? The .XBMC folder (in Linux) or the XBMC folder in applications data (on Windows) where the repositories addons and themes are stored.

doesn't work on transformer
well I tried it on my asus transformer and it doesn't work. when i run it it just closes. never even got to the xbmc logo but I am using the custom revolver rom anyone getting it working on the transformer with the different rom?
I was able to download and install the add on for blip tv and watch a video!

I made my own compile and have it working fine on my Galaxy S 2.
Works fine on s2 for me running rootbox

So I bought Chameleon Launcher for my TF101 and thought: This would look pretty good on my Note. So I did it!! Now my Note has Chameleon Launcher running perfectly.
What I did was:
- Made a backup of the Chameleon Launcher app with TB on my TF101
- Extracted the three files from my backup folder and put them on my backup folder on my Note.
- "Restored" Chameleon Launcher on my Note with TB
- Changed the System DPI to 192 (I`m on Paranoid Android)
- And that's it
It looks and works pretty good

It can but due to the widgets being so big you only get about two per screen and your phone has to be always in landscape or else it will force close. With 192 you can use your phone in portrait with no problems and you get a grid of 2x4 in portrait and 4x2 in landscape

I am only just getting into the Chameleon Launcher concept and while I haven't bought it, it does look cool and it would something I would try out (expensively) on a Galaxy Note II (if I decide to get one).
Do you think a Google Play spoofer would allow me to grab this without using an APK off a tablet?

I'm not sure, I would guess you would some how have to modify your build.prop to make it think it's a whole diferent device. On the other hand, if you could get the apk by any mean would probably be able to install it. But being it's a paid app, I strongly suggest buying it if you really like the launcher don't go out on a pirate hunt for the apk haha :silly:

Yes I can see that being a huge problem
I bought this app a while ago while it was still pre beta, but as yet haven't even been able to download it from the market.
Apparently a galaxy note screen is not enough to satisfy the download requirements.
I don't have a tablet either so not sure how I will get this on my phone now!

Could you install the pre beta on your Note?
Yesterday i could install the launcher straight away
Running on stock rooted rom with 240dpi
Today the play store tells me i cant use it with my galaxy note... I have it installed but this means i wont get updates....
I already sent an email to the the delovoper that i want my money back
Very disapointed at the moment i was so happy about this launcher...
