DSP Audio Manger For Android 2.2 builds HD2(Stand alone music EQ) - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi guys
This is the DSP Audio Manager for Android Builds
It is a stand alone music Eq for android so if you want to boost and enhance your music you can now do this using this.I have been testing it on the latest disire_hd build and its working perfectly, you can also use it on other builds aswell however i havnt tested it on any others yet
For those who are dissapointed by not having the EQs working in the Desire HD builds this can help relieve that dissapointment
unzip and put into the root folder of the build your using/going to use,if you dont have a root folder then create it

You link to download is broken

ive uploaded the zip instead so you can directly download the needed files

Nice, thanks!

works very well!!thaks a lot!

I've got another one. It is newer. The quality of the sound is also better...Everyone's got even newer than this please share.

ive tested the newer one already and wouldnt recommend it as you get a high pitch background noise when you play anything but the older one works fine

[Update][7/22][MOD][MIUI]DSPManager+Beats Audio for MIUI v4, HTC One X Snapdragon S4

Apologies for the last 2 posts, but the issues are hard to fix (like the sound echo, I'm really not experimenting it), and my abilities are limited, I'm not a professional developer, I'm not even adult, I'm just a student.
I would really appreciate if you guys keep supporting me and give me time to do things.
I'm sorry guys.
Alpha 2 up!
After flashing MIUI v4 I found that the SRS it includes isn't that good and it makes audio less clear.
So I searched for DSPManager in MIUI China, found one for XiaoMi and modified it a bit to let it work on HTC One XL, also translated it into English so you guys can understand
No need to backup: the installation rar will backup for you!
Run this on your computer. THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP.
The sound improved a lot after flashing this. DSPManager just rules.
Still needs improvement, this is only Alpha 2.
What this RAR contains:
Beats Audio files (may be a fake one, I'm gonna update it)
DSPManager & related libs
.bat files to guide you throughout the installation.
A Readme that answers all of your questions.
NOTICE: Disable any EQ in MIUI Music Player to make it work in MIUI Music.
Dis-check "Direct Volume Control" in PowerAMP to make it work in PowerAMP.
Known issue(s): "Dynamic Range Compression" in DSP is not working in MIUI Music (Perhaps other players also).
Change log:
Alpha 1
- Initial release.
Alpha 2
- Fixed severe bugs in installer. Installer working properly now!
Works with every version of MIUI v4.
Consider donating me! So I won't give up halfway.

Yes I think so but this audio_effects file is tuned for MIUI.
But I think it's okay to try.
BTW CM doesn't have a DSP???

Sorry, CM does, but I threw it in because i figured somebody else would ask. However, AOKP has nothing for the sound and it has lower audio volumes than other ROMs out there.

vlc I don't know but MIUI Music should work perfectly. Did you switch to headphone mode instead of speaker in DSP?
Works fantastically with the latest build of aokp. Had to modify the script a bit tho to work with adb over wifi since my tethered adb isn't working right now. Thanks for this!

[APP PORT] CM DSP for Galaxy S4

I just got the I9506 and coming from a CM powered phone one of the things I missed was the DSP Manager app. So, I decided to port it to the S4. All you have to do is to copy the files in the zip to their proper locations in the phone with a rooted file manager and set the permissions to RW-R-R
Sorry, it is NOT a flashable zip as I do not have a custom ROM installed to test it, you'll have to move the files manually.
If you encounter any problems let me know.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST to back up the files before replacing them with the new ones....
This has been tested and working on a I9506 with stock ROM (4.3), but should work on other 4.3 ROMS and maybe also on 4.2 or 4.4. Test and let me know.
* If your phone dies doing this I'm not responsible
** I just edited some config files, the REAL WORK is from CM team.
*** This has been done for my personal use, I'm not looking for fame and/or glory, just sharing in case it is useful to anybody else
Have you tried Viper4Android? A lot more features than the standard DSP application.

Is an app that adds a number of sound effects and let's you set specific sound EQ values depending on the output (Headset, Loudspeaker, Bluetooth). If you have a custom recovery do a nandroid and test it... I think it should work

Fair enough, what you're comfortable with is the most important thing. But just to point out that it's very similar in terms of UI it just has a lot of additional options for tweaking the sound. I strongly suggest you try it and see if you like it. You can certainly get a better sound out of it than a plain DSP app. It's absolutely essential for anyone who uses their phone as a music player in my view.
Works fine on i9500. Not works on stock music app. thank you

anyway thanks for sharing
What have you been using this on sense, gpe or aosp?
When I open viper4android and try load profiles , it sees no profiles ....I've extracted folder to profile folder and also tried just extracting to viper folder ...seems the profile files are .xml and the profile files should be .prf files
Viper doesnt install on cm12
@Lostmymind904
OP, could you add the link to Viper4android for the people who don't already have it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3021407
Also if you could add instructions for creating the Directory for the first time cause when you first install V4A
"/sdcard/VIPER4Android/Profile/"
will not be in your file managers.
Upon installing and setting up V4A we need to simply save the stock profile and then the Profile directory will be made

Due to what I believe has been deemed an issue with the One M8 amplifier drivers since CM11, all audio on CM11/CM12 based roms are VERY loud which leads to tons of distortion. As a guy who really appreciates music and sound quality, I haven't been able to stick with a CM rom for longer than a day without being annoyed by it. There are some settings that are out here that are supposed to get rid of the issue when using V4A for lollipop. I tried it one and still wasn't satisfied... However, with all these new CM12 based roms coming out, I kind of want to give it another try. Maybe some of the presets in this thread could help, but i have not tried and nobody here seems to know either :good:
hope that helps.

Installation should be as simple as Extracting the file then Grabbing and moving the entire "Improved Speakers" folder into Vipers4android's "profile" folder. And Yes The files or .xml files That's what viper4android saved them as So that is what I uploaded them as why would they be .prf???

Viper4android?

Is there anyway to get v4a working on nouget? I tired the method the the regular s7 forum but it didn't work.
Look for Viper4Android V2.3.4.0 here on XDA (the one that works without the Selinux permission and has a higher audio fidelity than the newer versions and has the better UI IMO) then flash that puppy. Check if it works and if not you have to Google "Viper4Android on nougat" and it will give you a bypass that has you erase a stock audio file that prevents Viper4Android from working. This wasn't the case for me since I didn't have that file. The version I speak of has Dolby audio; I erased that because it just added more static IMO. I had this with the dual audio mod for a while but it didn't seem to make a difference but add more static.
If this works for you, please update the main post with credit to those sources. If you also want some settings for some Fire Audiophile experience, please ask; I run heavy bass that doesn't drown out music and makes Beats sound way better.

I used this guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-viper4android-nougat-beta-t3499117
I downloaded this V4A zip and installed the apk inside. I did not install the Nougat IO test fix because I didn't need to. Everything works fine
http://www.mediafire.com/file/xonl4jha2e4vez1/ViPER4Android_FX_v2505.zip
I don't remember what post I found this link on, but it was here on XDA.
I am running Jrkruse's BS Free nougat. I followed his instructions at the link below, the only thing I added was flashing the engineering kernel as the last item in FlashFire and than rerooted.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/development/rom-t3572739
I also have SE Linux Changer installed and have it set to Permissive.
