As a HTC wizzard it was easy to obtain this information;
http://developer.android.com/
Then go here;

Remember to install the SDK first
Hope this helps,

Hello all,
I am quite new so please pardon my ignorance.
I am new to Android and trying to develop some applications with some success.
What I want to know is, if I want to extend/change a system application, for example, Phone.apk file) how can I do so without downloading the whole ROM source from GIT repositories. Also I will like to know is there a way to debug the same without building the whole source every time?
All the questions I searched were related to Java or general Android application development. I could not find anything related to extending/changing system applications. Maybe I didn't searched well enough. If yes, please point me to the right thread.
Any help will be hugely appreciated.
Regards,
Yogesh.

Firstly, apologies but as a new member I cannot post to the developers area.
I want to know if anyone has put any effort into a port of android to satio? I believe the first part shouldn't be too challenging as Android has already been compiled to the OMAP3430 SoC. I am familiar with setting up an arm cross-compiling toolchain and have worked with the arm9260 chipset in this regard (including writing kernel drivers).
As I haven't developed for a phone before, I'm not sure how easy it is to access the bootloader and download a new kernel.
Beyond that I'm in new territory regards the neceeasry drivers and accessibility to the information to develop the kernel code required
I look forward to your comments.
Regards, Steve

I am looking for somewhere to start building an application. I want to develop for Iphone, andriod and windows. I googled some application developement things, but I still don't know where to start/begin.
Do I download sdk of somekind for each platform, or is there some software that i start with and then port into mobile os that I want?
Please help a newbie out. Thanks.
You need to program for iPhone to have a Mac, then buy the SDK tool.
Android with Eclipse and an Addon can now make applications.
Each platform iphone,windowsphone and android requires their own set of tools.
For android look here:
