I am looking for somewhere to start building an application. I want to develop for Iphone, andriod and windows. I googled some application developement things, but I still don't know where to start/begin.
Do I download sdk of somekind for each platform, or is there some software that i start with and then port into mobile os that I want?
Please help a newbie out. Thanks.
You need to program for iPhone to have a Mac, then buy the SDK tool.
Android with Eclipse and an Addon can now make applications.
Each platform iphone,windowsphone and android requires their own set of tools.

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to build the XDA utils tree and itsutils.dll from source in order to play around with it a bit, but have had no luck so far. I've searched through all the forums, but couldn't find anything about building the toolset, only how to develop for actual mobile devices.
I got the source tree for the xda utils project, but the instructions on how to build them (here) are not very clear. What software do I need to have installed? Which libraries? Do I need to install an embedded version of the STL? Where can I find the "preview editions" of Platform Builder 3.0 and 4.0 in order to get the header files?
I'm running Windows XP 32-bit (I also have a 64-bit machine, though I doubt that'll make it any easier), and have installed VS 2005, the Windows Mobile 6 SDK, and eMbedded VC 4.0.
I'd really appreciate any advice or help.

I have never developed in Android environment.
Can anybody please tell me sted by step that how can I start building my own rom, from Android source code.....also tell me all the stuff I need to download before starting(LG Source, android source, IDE etc etc).......also tell me that are there any handset specific requirements for each rom or you can just put it like an operating system on anyone?
Eg. If I happen to get hands on ROM of Galaxy Fit can I run it on my LG P500, like we can install any operating system on computers.
