Wiimote on TNT....finally! - G Tablet General

i take no credit for this i found it on another thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=856476 but i have a feeling some people are still trying to figure out how to get wiimote and other keyboards working on the g tablet.
what i did was install wiimote from the market then with root explorer i went into data/app and moved wiimote to system/app. then i made sure the permissions were set correctly.
user- read write
others-r
groups-r
reboot and it should be auto enabled, i didn't have an option to tick or untick wiimote in keyboard settings. when i went into the wiimote app though i was able to change from tapntap to wiimote

What did you use as a PIN code?! TIA.
Nevermind got it squared away.

Yup that was me

wait so you do these steps
then how do you get the stock keyboard back?

Superuser & Wifi Tethering

I just put Donut 1.6 on my MT3g! I love it, very fast and simple, could not ask for more BESIDES wifi Tethering.
It has the app, and i have reinstalled it, but i keep running into a problem with Superuser.
Every time i go to use tethering it comes up with SU request. From what i have searched, i am supposed to have a Allow and Deny option. These options never come up.
I have put on Shell and typed in
ID
SU
ID
Now, from what i have seen it is supposed to say Rooted in here. It does NOT say rooted, and when i press menu to select "Request Superuser" it says i do NOT have it installed, even though it clearly is.
What are my options i have to get my wifi tethering working? I have searched and tried EVERYTHING but redoing my rom, which i cant do by myself. I had my friend do it for me.

Yarvik TAB465 with ICS

Hey guys I came accros this really cheap Yarvik tablet, with ICS ...
Price seems amazing its only 229 EUR here in Holland.
Spec sheet ->onyougo.com/manual-yarvik-tab465_pdf_en_12400199.pdf[/url]
Do you guys think this unit will be rootable ?
It does not have the Google Market but GetJar so it would be great to be able to install these and other apps.
I have this tablet tab465EUK. I finding more info about root and ROM change. Google Play not working (force stop, error, I tried three version GPlay).
I got Yarvik GoTab Exxa 9.7, Model TAB465EUK, Android 4.0.3, Kernel [email protected]#61, build 03F2-P1-H02-M01-1594.20120411.
The ROM already has busybox and su installed. Also, all filesystems are mount rw and use of su does not trigger any visual notification.
Hence it is quite easy to install Connectbot, go to "local" and become user on command line.
Also, ES File Explorer acquires the root permission w/o problems.
P.S. This is a pretty dangerous thing, I may try later to replace the su binary w/ superuser.apk so that I get the visual notifications.
P.S.s. Google play from CM7 worked just fine (I just copied vending.apk to /system/apps), I was able to login with my account from Samsung Galaxy S, download and install apps. Sometimes it behaves a bit weird (cannot use "back" key, screen flickers during installation of app), though functionally seems okay.
EDIT: the tablet looks and works quite good. However, the quality control is probably pretty weak. Users complain about poor wifi performance. Mine has problems with sound (headset makes buzzer noise when anything is plugged in to microUSB) and while charging the tablet the touchscreen touches generate randomly placed clicks anywere on the screen. So I probably have my tablet replaced some time later.

Help! Deleted my launcher with Titanium Backup and now phone doesn't work!!

I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section
Hey there everyone. I have a My Touch Q LG-C800. I believe that I might have bricked my phone but I was on a couple different web sites stating that if you can still factory reset your android phone you should be alright.
So let me explain how it happened.. First I rooted my My Touch Q, everything was running perfectly then I thought I wanted to do more since I thought woah! rooting was so easy and I used "SuperOneClickv2.3.3" to root my phone, so it was really easy.. lol but ya then I started to use "Titanium Backup" since I really hated having all those other stocked apps on your phone, figured it could help boost the speed of my slowww My Touch Q. Opened up Titanium Backup and went to the system apps, I first stored the apps that I thought I still might need to my micro sd card, then after finished backing up those apps, I then uninstalled the apps that I found was unneeded. After I finished backing up and uninstalling all the unneeded apps I figured that hey! I backed everything up and I should be perfectly fine to do anything else now!! So I went to the market (Play) and downloaded "Rom manager"..
So then I downloaded rom manager and it had and option to find a rom online and I chose the rom with the most download cause I thought it should be the best choice to make. I click on it and I forgot what it was called (I connected my phone to my laptop and am able to get the phone into usb storage mode, microsdcard/clockworkmod/download/download.cyanogenmod.com/get/update-cm-7.1.0-Z71-signed.zip and microsdcard/clockworkmod/download/download2.clockworkmod.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip-- I'm not too sure what this means but it could be of help). then after clicking on the rom to download it then gave me a lists of versions to download I of course chose the stable version. (sucks that I can't remember what rom I actually download..) after I downloaded it it told me to back up my rom.. so I thought it'd back up everything from the phone. (I know I should have done my research before proceeding..) after backing up the phone.. it just did like a factory reset on my phone.. and I mean that was fine but the main problem is that after it had the basic tips tutorial and all that jazz and intro to stuff for the phone, I chose to skip all that stuff because I've restored my phone plenty of times.
But this time was different I clicked next and after that it wouldn't let me go to my phones like "home" and when I clicked the home button it download go to the home screen. Like the notification is still there just not that bottom part, it's just black there and I can't click anything there. Although I can drag the notification bar down and stuff. and lock screen works fine.
So I think my phones still not bricked.. but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get the "default launcher" back.. on to the phone because I remember I had uninstalled it from my phone because I was using a different launcher "adw launcher or adw freak launcher, one of the two". I btw did back the default launcher with Titanium Backup, the default launcher is "com.lge.launcher-380e147c617387bc38cabec97baa8437.apk.gz"
If there is anyone out there that could possibly help me fix my phone that would be very much appropriated My girl friend had bought me this very phone for me because I have been using the gravity t for sooooo long lol and it hasn't been working well the touch screen it had had totally mess up. Anyways have a wonderful night everyone!
Go to google market on a pc search for launcher like adw and install .It should install on your phone even thou your on a pc (make sure phone is on) then click home button on phone adw should start. Then you can reinstall default launcher from tb. Not sure if this will work but worth a try.

He has no launcher simple so the phone does not have a homescreen until he installs a launcher somehow. I just offered one way to get one installed when he had no access to play on his phone. There are lots of other more complicated ways but was hoping to make it easy for him.

Seeing as you seem to have used SuperOneClick, you must have enabled USB Debugging, which means you can use ADB. Connect your phone via USB to your computer (have it switched on at the time) and open a command prompt in a folder with adb.exe and the APK for some launcher. Run the following command then:
Code:
adb install launcher.apk
(assuming the launcher is named launcher.apk; change the command to reflect the real name of the APK).
After it says it has finished installing, press home and the launcher should hopefully load.
Try what was suggested above with the Play Store and see if that works, but if it doesn't, this will.
Or else make a flashable zip file with any launcher .. reboot recovery flash it..
Thanks will try it try it out.

How would I be able to access the file that I'm downloading from the market on pc? Would I have to connect to the internet and sign into my gmail account on my phone? If so that's not possible because I can't go anywhere, the bottom part under the notification bar is all blank after the android's like introduction thing. And I won't be able to connect to the internet because I can't even go into my phones control panel? or what ever to find my home wireless network and enter my password
Boot? as in ..

Hmm by boot do you mean screen turns on and the intro starting and setting up screen starting up after the video? Then yes it does in fact boot up. Just the middle screen isn't functional because I uninstalled awn dock or what ever, the like defualt launcher for the phone. Have I installed the rom?.. That's hard to answer. I have "Downloaded it with rom manager" and clicked on install after reboot but.. I do not believe that it actually install.. I mean how would you know if it installed?

Remember I have done the factory reset on this phone so I'm still unsure if usb debugging is automatically on still or checked. I hope it is though. and there is not way for me to actually go into the settings and check if it is on. but will definitely try this out. I've never used ADB before so idk how or where to get it, I have tried to figure it out but wasn't successful. I do have APK, along wth Android SDK Tools.

Hey don't be sorry! I will give droidexplorer a try, would the phone need to be in USB Debugging? If so I don't have access to go to my settings and check the usb debugging.
Hello I'm back to share with you guys some wonderful news!
Ya I was able to fix everything by going back into the internet just like scull2011 suggested but the problem was I wasn't able to move around or get in the wireless internet connection to do so. But thank god the genius button was there! lol! Idk how or why I went into the "genius button" but I started off just by accidentally saying settings.. for some reason but then I was sent to the settings place and I was able to set up my wireless internet and searching for the market and installing a new launcher (in my case I downloaded adw launcher) and now I'm able to get everything to work luckly!! Never ever would have thought of using the genius button!
Yesss now I don't have to use my Gravity T!!
Thank you to everyone who responded on this thread so quickly!!
It really shows the community and network of people on xda-developer who are willing to help people like me!!
Glad you fixed it.

Google gmail apps doesn't work now
I backed up my files with Titanium Backup hoping that it'd back up that data but guess not the sock apps? So I got the launcher going again but now I came across another problem.. My gmail accounts doesn't synce anymore or google music because I had uninstalled the sock app Social + 3.0.200. I tried to find it on play store but doesn't seem to have it. If anyone came across this problem before please help. Thanks.
Or if there is not way in getting the stock app back on does anyone know of a Calender App that doesn't need syncing? I'm starting school and it'd be really helpful to have a powerful Calender App.

cant get quickinstall to work.

My dad has inherited my touchpad, for now, and he's depseratley wanting Kindle on it. I'm in the UK so it's not a standard app.
I've downloaded a Kindle ipk but can't seem to get webOSQuickInstall to work. I already have preware and what not so must have done it at some point!
QuickInstall is saying that no devices are connected, tried reinstalling Java, turning developer mode on and off again
Any ideas?

Did you make sure to select "just charge" when you plug in the TP? I went bonkers once on my Pre2 before I realized that I forgot to make the selection.

Keyboard issue after upgrading

So I upgraded my Honor 6 according to this hihonor.in/community/blog/upgrade-your-honor-6-to-android-l
Everything seems ok really, except for one critical little detail: I have no keyboard. When I click on a text field to type, I only get that google voice thingy, and in input settings I get no choice to add new keyboards, nor can I modify the current one. And my spoken English just isn't good enough for this, I need my keyboard. :crying:
Help please?
I have of course tried every reasonable variation of a reset and so on, they all fail. Currently looking into downgrading it, and then re-upgrading it or something along those lines..
PS: This has to be the most annoying website I've ever been to when it comes to new users. After spending 10+ minutes trying to register, I give up and log in with my google account, which works on the third attempt. And then I try posting this, but noo, can't post links... Not to mention that there's a captcha around every corner.

Yay, pushed it out via adb and it works like a charm. Thanks
Any clue WHY this wasn't installed in the first place though?
Nop , i had the same problem too and i solved it that way
Keyboard working for me fine after upgrading, but when I encrypt the phone and reboot it, I cannot get keyboard to show when I am supposed to unlock the encryption. I had swiftkey keyboard installed before, and it didn't work. I had to do factory reset, and then with the default (google keyboard) no luck either. I am using the international variant H60-L04 and I updated phone through the stock updater app with honorindia stock lollipop.
I can't even install the keyboard. It gives me the error -505. Please, tell me what's going on there

Try Swiftkey keyboard
"Type password to decrypt storage" and no keyboard
I am also having similar problems with no keyboard after upgrade to 5.1.1 and then encrypting the phone.
"Type password to decrypt storage" and no software keyboard when I click the textbox. The only other thing to press it the "emergency call".
I managed to hack together an USB OTG-cable and connect a hardware keyboard and use this to input the password, but its a bit annoying having to get a hardware keyboard everytime you need to restart the phone.
I have the google keyboard, skype swift and the 1pass keyboard and I have tried to disable other keyboards and set the Huwai as default, but that did not help.
My phone is a H60-L04 with android 5.1.1. Unrooted and very much vanilla.
Do anyone have any suggestions for what more to try?
Hi sgiratch, did you had any luck. I had the same problem today. I am not able to decrypt my phone. Please guide me how to get out of this problem. Not able to switch on my phone.
No luck. Im carrying an OTG-cable with me at all times and have a keyboard at hand. Thats the only temporary fix I've found. I try to avoid rebooting the phone
Hi sgiratch, Thanks for reply. Our charging cable will work as OTG cable i guess, but what keyboard you are using..I dont understand wht key board to use.
You can't use your charging cable. You need a micro-B to plug into your phone and the other end of the cable has to be a female type-A. And then you can connect any USBkeyboard into your phone and type away.
Like this paruu.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/otg-cable.jpg
Thanks sgiratch. I will try this out.
