Just Want to say Thanks to the Developers.

the myTouch 4G was my first smartphone. I was scared to root but once the perm root came out for this device I did it and I've loved it ever since.
I've loved pretty much all of the ROMs i've used for this phone (even though I have a hatred for Sense).
I JUST made an account on XDA (I had one before, deleted it, etc.) but i've been lurking on the forums here for a while. This phone has been awesome.
BUT, I'm moving on to the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II. I'm still gonna keep my myTouch and probably still lurk around here to play with some new ROMs.
So this is basically me saying Thanks to all of the developers for this phone. you've made me actually like it lmao.

He quit development for a while cos somebody fixed something in his rom... I'm not hating just saying.... Although he is an amazing dev and Ive user some of his roms and they have been great he just needs a change of attitude

If you put anything at all out on a public forum you have to expect there will be questions and responses etc. There are plenty of developers here who DON'T get mad when somebody asks a question for the 100th time. Just the little I've seen he seems like his ego gets in his way.

He developed on the X10 forum here on XDA (I still check out X10, but no longer own one).
It wasn't stupid questions, what dmcb123 stated was just one of the things.
He made good stuff. But a combination of poor decisions (not just Trip but others as well) and Trip's knack of being at the center of numerous controversies negatively affected the Dev boards before he moved on to Modaco. Honestly, when all this was going on, I quit my attempts at dev work (was starting to work on my own rom) - the whole atmosphere at the time was pretty poisonous.
Honestly, he's happy doing his work elsewhere. The devs on XDA are happy doing their work here.

Okay guys lets just stop talking about him, lets bring peace to xda

Made me laugh, he STOLE TAPS from Sony Ericsson! Look at the libs, they are ripped from the X10.
Also none of the ROM is owned by him.
Oh and through the whole thread NO kernel source, despite it INCLUDING a CUSTOM KERNEL.

Ummm who cares if he used other things to make his rom? Id like to see you go make a cm9

I'm just trying to help zips get a mt4g so he can continue his great ROM. (if he still wants to)
If theres a problem.. maybe I'll just have eat the cost and buy him one by myself .__. No need to get a mod on me.
Anyone got a working spare i can buy for cheapish..?
If not maybe it's time to move on to a new phone.

Wasn't saying that I'm going to put a mod on you. I was just saying you should ask a mod for permission first.

I pm'ed zip about donating him my mytouch, moving on to a new device and figured it would be better off going to him then sitting on my desk collecting dust. Plus I always liked his rom and hate to see it stay discontinued "just saw it discontinued today".

I had 4, but unemployment forced me to sell 2 of them. Now only my wife & mine are left. Otherwise I too would have given one, & I don't use any ICS Rom. But that's a cool thing you are doing. I hope to be able to contribute soon. I just gotta get back to work! Thanks tho, ill be using my mt4g for a bit longer.

And that's another reason I want to donate it, not everyone has a couple hundred dollars laying around for the latest and greatest phone, that's why were basically on this thread, so we can have the latest version of android on our phones or to have certain things on our phone that newer phones have that our phone didn't get.
Long story short I want to try to keep zips and all of the other great devs on the mytouch thread so we can have a fully functional ics rom without bugs or a fully working sense 4 rom...who knows maybe even a jellybean rom some day in the future.

Thats really not true, I like both of those guys but its not true. Invasion did the first full sense 4 port and is really working hard to fix full rosie. I dont know what the hell saranahai is doing but he helps me a bunch. I have been working on a sense 4 kernel and building from the source. You dont know what goes on behind the scenes brah. Just two or so months ago I seen this kid asking how do you you flash the new Virtuous rom and then all of a sudden he's on the team and is a kernel dev. Makes no sense at all. Now i feel like an idiot.

Thanks for that. I've been doing major catch-up these past few days. I've seen that sweet 3.0 kernel. Looks like we need to figure out the WiFi problem for the older sense 3.6 and 4 roms. I saw over in the dhd thread they have figured it out on their end but I'm sure it won't work with ours.

honestly i have no experience whatsover aside from modifying graphics on APK or translating but if you want another member count me in, i can do everything in my hands to learn and not bother or halt development, im also good with ideas and testing but i really really want to learn the whole rom development/porting, custimizing kernels and eventually launchers...i dunno if i still sound noobish for your team i can understand, nobody wants a novice but hey at least im been honest and tell you what i can give back to the team.
