how do i unlock my mobile hot spot on my phone ? i have a optimus s help me

All you need is a hotspot toggle. I use Quick Settings by Sergej Shafarenka from the market. After installed, long press search key and open it, then click menu button, customize, Drag Mobile Hotspot into visible settings. Press back then turn it on.
You can then select it and it will take you to the Mobile Hotspot settings and you can set up security and rename as well.

easiest way is if you press power button as if you were going to turn off the phone... you get a menu and select it from there

I recall someone made a toggle switch similar to the one on Sense. Does anyone recall the name or provide a link?
On the market most toggle switches state that they require system access to turn mobile data on/off, and so they're just a link to the phone wireless settings. Must be a widget that requires root.

[Q] Always open Quick Settings?

Hi,
it's pretty annoying that you have to tap twice to open the quick settings... first tapping the clock and then the settings symbol.
Is there any way to always open the quick settings?
may only if there are no notifications?
Thanks!
I just put the settings app which you can find in the "other" section when you long press on your home screen, onto my home screen. Just one tap needed now to get to them.
yes, but that opens just the normal settings menu...
i like the settings-popup, it would be cool if this could be modified and always opens for quick access

Camera Quick launch and Direct Access conflict on Android 6.0.1.

I use the Direct Access home button shortcuts a lot but I don't need the camera Quick Launch shortcut.
When I disable the camera shortcut, the direct access shortcuts stop working so, when I hit the home button three times it just sends me to the home screen.
The direct access option remains "ON" but it doesn't work, it only works when I enable the camera quick launch.
Is this some kind of bug? It's really annoying.
I used the XEF Official Android M rom.

How to get the menu ... buttons on apps?

So I just got this phone and it's stock ROM and when I use some apps I usually have the menu to access settings. It's 3 little dots normally in certain apps. How do I get these back? Some apps are useless without being able to get into settings.

Try this:
Settings → Accessibility → Dexterity and Interaction → and turn on Assistant Menu. This will add a floating button to the screen that you can press to reveal a menu containing the old Menu button.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Use the app Buttons remapper and reconfigure the buttons: Press 'recent' -> Menu. Long press 'recent' -> Recent, etc.
Root is not even needed.

Way to add flashlight to lockscreen or gestures?

As title says. I have been looking all over to do this somehow on my note20 ultra, and None of what I have come across works.
There is a preselected list of widgets to add to lock screen, cannot add anything new.
And same with the gestures.
Is there just No way of doing this either of those ways, or am I missing something?
1. As of saying about gestures for flashlight in samsung,
There is a way to turn on flashlight by press and hold power bottom and then click on side key settings<open app< torch, that will enable you to turn on flashlight by clicking two times 'power bottom'.
But you have to be quick in clicking and just two times click.
If you click three times that will call emergency number of your reign.
2. In the case of lock screen:-
-> Swipe down with fingers then click on settings icon,
-> Swipe down and look for lock screen, click on it,
-> Swipe all the way down and click on shortcuts,
-> Turn it on if its off,
-> Then choose which side you want, to open flashlight,
-> Choose torch.
This will enable you to turn on flahlight by swiping in any direction from torch icon.

Neither of those methods are working for me. Double clicking the power button ooens the camera.
Power + middle is screenshot.
Power + top does nothing.
For the lock screen. I dint have any optio. For shortcuts. The screenshot shiws all thats available to try and change anyrhing available there.
After messing around with it. I remembered womthing about changing the side key functions. I was able to change the double click for camera to make it open flashlight instead.
Thank you for the help
1. Again hold power botton and than click on side key settings< click on open apps and then click on settings icon on the right side of open apps choose torch (first app).
