The new update calls home to check if you're really part of the beta, it won't work if you're not. I'm part of it and it still said that Swype was configured for a different device, so I rolled back.
I can find crack easier.
Man these Swype folks are all about locking down this must have kb can some one please PM me a copy of a working apk. I will gladly send swype as much money as they want for it but they aren't playing nice.
Just Google swype + version number. You'll find a working version in the top result.
If someone will please PM me the apk, I'll theme it

Edit: Please don't ask me to PM you the link

I want to contribute to xda I have many ideas just no experience. Only thing I know how to do so far is use photoshop and illustrator. I have a lot of experience with both. I have a great idea of a rom I wan't to make but making roms shouldn't 'bee where to start with no experience. So I'm looking for help with learning to theme apps, roms, launchers, or possibly creating mods. I would be more than happy to donate for your help. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Grab Ninja Morph from the market and pull your framework. You can always start by modding your icons and such.

To mod my icons would I have to extract the app png then edit in a program like photoshop or gimp then overwrite the old png with the one I edited?

an APK is another name for application that you download from the market (or other sources) and install on your phone. Here is a link that explains this application. Note - you must be rooted to use it on your phone.

Here's one from the MT3G forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916602
Here are the two that I had on my computer...I just made them flashable to CM for you. One black, one white, both different.
The white one's file size considerably larger than the black one, but looks better.
The black one is pretty much the same as the one in the link above, excepts it is on a black background and says "HTC".
Nandroid first just in case, then flash from recovery.
I tried both and decided on the black one. Thanks ranger!

I really like the new market layout. The old market and Nokia's OVI store are too similar in look. Coming from the Nokia 5230 to something as good as the Exhibit 4G, then even better (SGS4G), I didn't appreciate a market that looked and felt like the OVI Store.
Just wanted to add that I got this OTA on Froyo.
Same here but on kg6. Then I tried to restore my old market but it would not install. So I downloaded the blue/transparent new market.

If you are trying to install your old market, go to applications in system settings, uninstall market updates and clear data.then drag your old market apk and replace the new vending.apk. reboot and it should be the old one. The only problem is that it may automatically update the market after the first run. Lol.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
I prefer this over the old one. Don't know why a lot of people don't like it.
