Hello to all.
I think this week became the most important week for our desire.data2SD and camera working for hd ROM is two wonderful things.
Now I'm not an Android developer but this thread want became a point of beging to create a simple update.zip file for total automatic installation of wonderful data2sd mod.
I think became a must have for switching and trying ROM, no?
So if is necessary I can make my self as tester and help people to relase and easiest way to have data2sd.
Regard to all.

I'm testing this script on AuraxTSense 8.0, for test my script you need to replace it on /system/etc/init.d/
For the moment problems seems to be with A2SD config (symlinks on /data) on this ROM, this version of my script probably have this feature corrected, I'm testing it on this moment, I don't know if it is the solution.
Remember remove .txt on my script before put it on the ROM.

I think that I found part of problem, I copy some part of code from A2SD script, that I removed and I'm testing now.
I have been using firerat's a2sd script to bind /data/data to sd-ext.
Just wondering how this script is different?

Could u give me some guide?I want to try add app2sd(with ext partition) base on your rom.because i like a rom with app2sd and i think your rom is a good job.
Thanks very much.
And the update_script maybe have some mistake that I cooked with kitchen.
It abort when I flash it,so I make logcat with adb.logcat show the error is /system/bin/sh there is no such dir or file.I found a file named sh0 in /system/bin/ when I check the rom.zip.I don't know these reason

sorry i can´t help with apps2sd cause i don´t see the need for it on this device for now. i have over 500MB free Memory. if i need that space completly i will have a look on apps2sd
wich version of this kitchen are you using, which settings do you made? some more details would be good.
i only can say that my scripts are working very wel since 1.6.0 of this kitchen i think. before that i wrote them myself.

LBC, I'm trying to cook my own ROM and so far I have been successful and I have a fully bootable working ROM but when I tried to add full SENSE 3.0 Packages (locksceen, weather, SMS, Taskmanager) to the ROM through the kitchen, I get a bootable ROM but no GSM network and force close on the com.htc.phone service, but when i flash the SENSE 3.0 package "update.zip" separately it works ok and no issues at all. Can you assist please?!

Thank u. I will try to make a rom without app2sd whether I can flash it or not.
I chose 1. to unpack the rom.then I use 2. to update the su.I use advance options 17 to add app2sd.then I chose 99. to build the rom.
I would also like to see how this works and then maybe we could have a stock WWE pre rooted Rom added to the listings

You need to go to the advanced option menu and use option 23 - "Convert update-script or updater-script" I think, from the description of your error.
The DS requires an updateR-script, but you must make any changes, mods etc before you change this script because the current build can't work with updateR scripts.
All these answers - and many more! - are contained in the thread for dsixda's kitchen.
Peace

Looks interesting; I'll give it a shot next time I'm on gingerbread.
Though just a recommendation: Change the packaged kernel to the non-fso version; I say that so its compatible with most phones. Fso breaks the system for some people; give people that want it the option to flash it.

No problem. Its just how it handles the system and doesn't always play nice. Just like a person that flashes an a2sd enabled rom and someone who isn't partitioned can't boot the rom; little things like that. Hope the rom is received well.

Its all good, and never a problem.
ONE more thing, I double checked and saw the rom is undervolted -75mv; -75mv is 'technically' aggressive, and too much. Personally I use -100mv, but not all can. The safest bet would be to use -25/-50 as most phones can handle that. You may want to bold that in the OP to avoid little things.

It should only matter if you're partitioned and use a2sd; I believe just how it handles the files/apps. I'd make a backup prior to flashing if you did.

it has to be on ext4 at least i think. i say this because it has 2 tweaks in a init.d file (remove jouralism and perfect mount) it said that its EXT4 tweaks. So maybe they wont hurt it if your phone isnt on EXT4 but maybe it will...you can try and let me know but do that at your own risk

Standards touch calibration values are derived from empirical measurements to fit standars; Calibration values for pyramid are derived from personal work on physical measurements with a raw width field of 1 unit corresponding physically to 17mm of linear size on the touchscreen.
To grant a more userfriendly touch experiance i changed the normal pressure scale values. The purpose is to generate a valid touch signal also on a light touch. The result is the perception of a lighter and soft touch in the general phone use.

Maybe it would be good to write in the OP, that ppl that already flashed a current version of bricked kernel have to put mpdecision and thermald back in place, else they would not have any core and thermal management (the compatibility.sh adresses only renamed binaries ...).
Additionally i noticed that in your "init.qcom.mdm_links.sh" there is a line: "mount -t ext4 -o remount,ro,barrier=0 /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 /system". In this situation it won´t get applied but the system partition on pyramid is mmcblk0p22 (not 12), only as information.
I would like to know which changes are meant by "boot setup" and which exact version of EGL libs are included here.
But the reason i actually looked at the package is because of the touch screen configuration, in which file exactly the values are included? I really would like to change them by myself!
In my understanding it doesn't do sweep to wake?

1) the pack automatically restore the mpdecision and thermald daemons
2) the qcom mdm don't refers to system partition!
3) for the EGL version, it's different in the files, you can use opengl extension app in the market to check the version of the lib that u are talking
4) all the touch and iput settings files are in the usr directory

So little information. As I can understand from the first line - there is a whole kernel in this package? Where I can find information on this kernel? What is the battery consumption after this package installation?

Buddy,
Thanks for the effort but my device started to reset itself up after the boot process giving an error "Authorization failed." I could hardly delete the files in init.d folder and installed busybox again but it did not fix the problem. I still get the same error and resets. I am on Omega Rom v7 with ktoons kernel.
Please attach here asap a resep .zip file so that users like me can go back when they face the same problem. I am waiting for it.
Regards.

Just to clarify, I'll try your script again after getting it fixed but this time after taking required precautions Thanks for your efforts again.
Op - You forgot to unmount everything when the script finishes

I have installed the script again, this time I have unmounted system and data; which were the only unmountable options; then I reset, I again have the same "authorization failed" error and then shut down again. Did not fix the problem.

Cm11 4.4.4
Although I'm not using a galaxy s5. Its huawei y300
But should work the same I would imagine.
is it the updated SQLite3 binary?
According to my post here the version 3.8.7 has an overall 50% performance boost, but i didn't come around this version compiled for our ARM platform yet.
The latest SQLite 3.8.7 alpha version (available on the download page
http://www.sqlite.org/download.html) is 50% faster than the 3.7.17 release
from 16 months ago. That is to say, it does 50% more work using the same
number of CPU cycles.
[...]
We have achieved this by incorporating hundreds of
micro-optimizations. Each micro-optimization might improve the performance
by as little as 0.05%. If we get one that improves performance by 0.25%,
that is considered a huge win. Each of these optimizations is unmeasurable
on a real-world system (we have to use cachegrind to get repeatable
run-times) but if you do enough of them, they add up.

Does this do anything on CM11 and is it compatible with it?
