[Q] FM Radio in Indian Moto Q9h! - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

According to this article:
cyberindian.net (full link removed due to new member restriction)
The Moto Q9h over there has an FM receiver, complete with RDS!
Is the hardware there for other Q9h models around the world?
Can it be unlocked with the installation of a radio application?
Other articles around the web seem to confirm this:
letsknow.info (full link removed due to new member restriction)
fonearena.com (full link removed due to new member restriction)

Because of the link restrictions above, you can get to the articles with a quick Google.

Browsing the Web on MS Smartphone (WM Standard) devices & Review of Opera Mini 4 beta
Make sure you read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1358226 – you’ll find it VERY useful!
Also, make sure you follow my articles posted to the generic General forum forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256 ). I discuss Smartphone compliance in ALL of my articles, but only post a note to this forum on the most important ones to avoid excessive flooding.
SEVERAL MAJOR updated have been posted in the meantime. This article is a MUST for ANYONE wanting to know how to browse the Web on a MS Smartphone!!!
(Please note that, currently, because of the 10kchar post limit and the consequent slicing-up problems, it’s on my blog that the latest version can be found, not here in the XDA-Dev forum. Sorry for the inconvenience / external links. The URL is http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=2084&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 ).
The updates:
UPDATE (07/11/2007): Article heavily updated: added the two IEM Registry hack sections; added the jB5 section.
UPDATE (07/11/2007): Another heavy update: added the Flash hacking section.
UPDATE (07/13/2007): Yet another heavy update: added the Opera Mobile WM6 registry fix section.
UPDATE (07/14/2007): Changes to the NetFront section. Thanks to AximSite / HowardForums forum member player911 for his remarks!
Hi
I've posted on the other thread.. and now i've seen it's gone :|
Anyway, you should include also the part with SmartExplorer downloading tweaking.. Many users may prefer this, instead working with registry.
Nice article. (HTTP tunneling on smartphone via JVM.. wow.. i have to try someday )

IMPORTANT for WeatherPanel Users

Hi all,
If you use WeatherPanel, please note that the auth server that WeatherPanel uses isn't working. Due to this your WeatherPanel may not get updates, and more importantly, your phone performance and battery life can be impacted (as WP tries to continually access teh server that isn't there. THis probabably also means and increase in data traffic if you are on a measured plan!)
Please see this thread for a fix:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/weatherpanel-freaks-weatherpanel-authorization-update-t8164.html
Also, I've updated my post in the Wizard forum about this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=307781
[MODS - Please lock this thread, as I really don't want discussions on this here. Discussions should be over on PPCgeeks or in my thread on the Wizard forum. Thanks!]
Thanks for the update. Got the WP_Auth_Moon_TRIAL08_CAB installed. But I'm really missing the Yahoo Icons.
I still have them on my storage card. I'll zip them up and post them tomorrow. I got them off the WeatherPanel Wiki. I'll have to find the link but do a google search and you will probably find it.
Why lock the thread for discussion, mfrazzz? A discussion in a new thread allows for collaboration and ease of retrieval. A fix has been made available that allows for updates via proxies as well a corrects moon phase issues. See weatherpanel.net. This is the original site where the fix was developed and Storyr, the guru who created the fix and keeps Weatherpanel running, posts there frequently. Some earlier workaround methods will no longer be supported

[Q] GPS,GLONASS,Navigon India,Offline Maps,Voice guided navigation,Google Earth

Condensing into one thread various queries on above subject :
1) Is MB865 capable of GLONASS or is it a hardware specific feature?
2) Why is Google Earth not available for India in Google Play when we can use it on the pc here? (just looking for thoughts / comments)
3) Why is voice guided navigation not provided for India (Garmin Navigon, Nokia Maps have it & Nokia also has a Nokia Maps multi platform mobile browser app) - (just looking for thoughts / comments)
4) Can anybody specifically share their experience for Navigon India as they are charging mucho bucks for their apps & need to know is it worth??
5) What according to you (especially senior members) are your favorite offline maps apps?? Share the names please.
6) Any other GPS tips / tricks would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I could be incorrect... but I believe that you would need a GLONASS chipset in order to access that Satellite Coordinate system
Please someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
On the lack of Google Services in India... look around for some articles on this... there just may be one that explains the lack of said services... either that or Google just hasn't worked out a deal yet.
I don't live in India, so not much help on the Navigation quality of India Maps....
Oh... and Google Maps has a caching ability builtin to the Labs in Settings. This should cache a 10 mile area that is selected.
Hope this info helps and good luck finding a Nav software you like!!!!

[Completed] Android WIFI problem

I use Cape Town 945 audio/video/rear camera etc system in my car. Firmware version is1011403920001_SW_20151223 + root + Google Play. This is Android 4.1.1 based unit.
My problem is that WiFi interface turns off always when WiFi source (like my phone with GSM/LTE to WiFi router facility) disappears. It is important for me because Iuse it for example for on-line navigation, traffic jam info and so on.
Is any possibility to keep wifi interface always on? Maybe additional application must be installed from Google Play or any patch?
Hi,
This is not a Q&A forum. It is more to guide NEW users to the best place on the site for their problem .
Please read the OPENING THREAD and the Second one , too.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.

It depends on what you need
Global ROM has gaming mode but it's mostly stock android
China ROM is themed quite a bit (themes custom launcher etc) but it has stuff like gestures however it's missing Google play store so it really depends on what you want I'd you don't need Google play and you want gestures etc China if you want stock like android and play store go global ROM simple as that
