Sandisk MicroSDHC 32GB for $57 - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

Hey guys it's my first post in this 4rum.
Since I just got my G2 2 days ago and currently look for some accessories, I just came across this and thought I would have share for anyone that is interested.
This is a Black Friday deal for Sandisk MicroSDHC 32GB.
EDIT: Since I'm new I can't post the link but you can always go to Sandisk website and look in there.
Price: $62.99 with free shipping
Apply promo code SDTHANKS10 for an additional 10% off.
Final cost: $56.69
Was debating between a 16GB class 10 and this but in the end couldn't resist the price and made the jump, hopefully it's a good purchase.

Nice find. Thank you.

Thats a good price...to bad US site wont ship to Canada where they are selling them for 203.99!!!! WTF!! Someone should tell them that the dollars are almost equal now. lol

During checkout I noticed that it said the item wasn't in stock? Anyone think I shouldn't go through with it.

i got a 32gb but android can read it.....

Hmm, I went ahead and placed the order, backorder be damned.
I've emailed customer service to see if they have any idea when it'll be back in stock, and will gladly update this thread when (and if) I hear anything substantive :]
Thanks for pointing out the deal, OP!

I bought this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003WGJYCY/ref=oss_product
When it was $77 shipped ..I see the price has been jacked up to $79 shipped but still a good deal.
Its a class 2, but from the reviews its actually rated around class 4..and I have used mine, its not slow or anything.

Should be the same one I ordered from SanDisk, but buying directly from retailer website so the risk of getting a fake one is minimal. Anyway I heard SanDisk never make a 32GB Class 4, it should be Class 2.
For anyone with the backorder status. I contacted SanDisk and the rep said that my item will be shipped on the 13th, so it takes about 3 weeks to get here but well for the price guess I can't really complain.

Thanks for the update, iTravis-- the 13th will be a fine day :]
As regards the Class 2/Class 4 issue, I remember reading on these and other boards that Class ratings aren't always super reliable (especially between separate brands, although to some degree within the same manufacturer as well).
I'm blanking on the exact post, or I'd link the thread. In either case, let's hope our cards pull some Class 9 billion speeds on us, right?

I did read those threads and that's why I decided to get the 32GB instead of the 16GB class 10, for the price you can't beat it anyway . I guess we'll be fine if just use for apps and music.

Look what just popped up in my email:

Ha, you paid more than I did. LOL Well, got tracking number and it will be here by next Thursday. Price went back up to $199.99 on Sandisk website so this is definitely worth the wait.
Some people say they got a class 4 from Sandisk, I'll just keep my finger crossed.

I'm not trying to thread Jack so OP please forgive me...but for my few and fellow Canadians...newegg canada has wintec 16GB class 10 cards for 35 I believe it was. I bought 3 of em.
ALSO regarding shipping from USA...if you don't mind crossing the border to pick up parcels from cross border mail services, just call your credit card company and ask them to add and authorize the US parcel service company address as a secondary billing address. Then you can order from the USA to the parcel company's address if the retailer has to match your credit card billing address with the shipping address!

2GB Sandisk MicroSD Card on Ebay - Real or fake ???

Hi,
does anyone know whether this is a real or fake offer:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-SanDisk-mic...151690QQihZ011QQcategoryZ118260QQcmdZViewItem
They don't offer a noname product but mark it "Sandisk" (I can remember that the first *Mini*SD - not MicroSD - on the market was a no-name product, Sandisk only followed a while later).
USD 99 wouldn't be too much for this high-end flash memory, but for a fake it definitely would be too much.
(Of course also the additional costs for shipping and import tax would have to be taken into account, but maybe a dealer could be found to import it and retail it to us - provided this product really exists already.)
Any feedback on that ?
The MicroSD 2GB is the real deal, and so is the eBay seller flashman852. I have done business with him before and right now I am awaiting yet another flash card from him. He has positive feedback from 112.000+ unique users and negative from less than 1.000. I'd say that's a pretty good record, although now perfect.

I agree. It's the real deal. MicroSD started life as TransFlash then got adopted as an SD format, since it's compatible via an SD adaptor.
I bought one from another eBay seller on July 2nd for my 8125. It's worked fine since then and I have a bit over 1.5Gb of data on it, with room to spare
http://stores.ebay.com/eDigital-Express
Seems the Seller I used only charges half the price too. And they were very pleasant to deal with.

No you didn't.
MicoSD IS NOT MiniSD.
Oops, you're right. I didn't know there was such a thing.
Well mine didn't appear to be genuine
Bought a Qumox card from the same ebay seller flashman852.
Worked fine for initial tests but when the card started to fill it broke.
Now it wont even format and they are being difficult about a refund.
Will now only buy direct from Amazon, 7 Day shop or similar reputable seller.
Search for an article using fakeflashtest.

Buyer Beware: eBay Micro SD cards

Don't be an idiot like I was.
Before you buy any micro SD cards on eBay, make sure the seller is *not* listed on this website:
http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/
In fact, if any mods are listening, could you please pin this thread? I know some of the forums for other devices have threads on this subject, but if they sink, nobody will get the warning.
Thanks.
or you could just avoid buying flash from ebay all together.
Whatever works.
I was wandering around my hometown yesterday pricing 16GB cards. The cheapest price in a shop was EU80 -- nearly $100.
I believe there are reputable sellers on ebay selling for less than half that.

That's great, but be careful. The biggest scam out there is 2 and 4gb cards programmed to look like 16gb to your operating system. The only way to test them is with a free utility called h2testw.
Hopefully your card is a good one. Mine turned out to be 2gb.

There are a lot of Kingston 32GB microsd cards being sold out of the US via Ebay for $199+, and they're all fake. Only Sandisk have released the 32GB versions.
Be warned..
For those in the US, just buy from Newegg. I got 3 16 GB microSD cards for $41 apiece.
you can also tell by filling up the card
if it doesn't go past 2gb, it's not a 16gb card

I've not touched eBay memory cards since I bought a Sony from a 'trusted' seller. Turned out to be a cheap knock off. I had my money back in a day after suggesting to the seller that I'd be contacting Sony's fraud investigations team if I didn't get prompt action.
Then I contacted them anyway

They "Weren't just Selling them".
Their supplier sent them a batch of fake CPUs. Once new-egg discovered the error, they refunded money and offered discounts and also dropped the supplier.
It was clearly an accident.

wth. You sound like you work for a certain political spin machine.
Clearly, anyone with half a brain, can see that Newegg expediently rectified the situation. If anything, this situation with the bunk processors would put Newegg in an even more trustworthy position than they were prior to this unfortunate incident.
i recommend newegg we have 4 a-data 16gb class 6 cards from them.. work great.. stay away from 16gb sandisk cards.. i have had 5 failures with these (their 8gb cards work fine though)

I bought two Sandisk 16gb Class 6 cards for £40 each from a Asian in Canada. When I received, I benchmarked them & found that they didn't even perform at a class 2 level.
I put on a claim on ebay & contacted seller. The seller said that there are alot of fakes on ebay & that I has sold thousand in his store without any complaints. I got a full refund.
I bought a Genuine Team 16GB Microsd Class 6 from another seller ebay id: taiwanlien. I have benchmarked it and everything.
If anybody does want to buy memory from ebay buy it from this seller taiwanlien.
Thanks

[Q] Fake ebay micro sd card and paypal claim

Hi, i just had a (bad?) idea, since there is a lot of fake micro sd card on ebay and people are being scammed, i were wondering how paypal are handling the fake claims? Do they actually refund you the cards? Or do they need you to send the fake card back? Were just wondering if it would be possible to actually buy a 32gb fake card (which should be around4/8gb?) and actually having a total refund for it since it is not as advertised? (free fake 32gb SD?) Yeah, i know it sounds crazy but scamming a scammer is it so bad?
So were just wondering to the ones who actually got scammed and filed a claim... Is it such a pain in the butt or could it actually be done?
Well just a though i had...
hey there,
do you think thats fake : h t t p : / / cgi.ebay.co.uk/32GB-MEMORETTE-MICRO-SD-SDHC-CARD-CLASS-10-FREE-Adapter-/230588940502?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_PDAsAccessories_MemoryCards&hash=item35b02c00d6#ht_4977wt_717
(remove the spaces)
i wish it is not fake.
The fake micro sd card scam works on ebay because in almost every case it'll cost more for the buyer to send the card back then what they paid for it. Paypal won't refund your money until you have proof the item was received by the seller. This usually means tracking and signature is required when you ship it back. Most of these fake sellers are from china or hong kong which with the tracking/signature requirements ends up costing $20+ which you don't get back when you get you're refund.

I've had experience of fake SD cards bought on ebay.
I was cought myself about 4 years ago, it took ages and eventually I got a full refund and got to keep the card.
Recently a couple of friends had the same problem, this time both got full refunds almost immediately.
I was given the task of trying to reformat to a usable state...
However unlike fake usb memory, which can be reformatted quite easily, with freely available software, SD cards seem to be practically impossible to reformat correctly.
I have on "16 GB" card that I have managed to use as 512MB, but even that causes arror and data loss at random points.
I bought a card that turned out to fake, so I contacted the seller and threatened to report them to ebay and paypal and I got a refund. Kept the card too.
don't even bother with ebay to anyone looking at this thread. I just found out that my card is actually a 8gb card said to be 16gb (i believe they can resize it so the phone thinks its 16gb?) and once i passed 8gb nothing saves on my sd card, and I went back to get my refund but the user is no longer a member! lucky for me...
yup, here is another victim

just a few post down
Paypal Australia requires that the item be returned with an online tracking number. Minimum cost to China, $50.
The system seems to be set up specifically to penalise the victim.
After all, that way Paypal gets to keep their commission.

As much as I dislike PayPal, it's really not set up to hurt the victim. Who would sell using PayPal when, in the event that someone simply "claims" that item is a fake or not as advertised, they get completely screwed over? I definitely would not be setting up an online business when each and every buyer I have can click a few buttons and receive a full refund and the product he purchased, coming straight out of my pocket.
It's not to rip off the buyers, but sometimes it's hard to please everyone.
Hmm I bought an 16 GB card on eBay but during the uploading of the data on it I noticed the card had already a name and some files on it...So it was not new at all!
A simple mail to the vendor was enough to receive another, new, card and a stamp to send the first card back...
The vendor had a spotless score...
I think you always take a risk while buying on eBay...
I found a great deal on a 64gb micro SDXD card on ebay for $13. The card works fine but is really only 32gb. Although disappointed, I didn't bother sending it back because $13 is still a lot cheaper than I can buy a 32gb micro SD card locally. However, after reading a number of posts it appears that the modify these to read like they are full capacity but begin overwriting data once they reach their real capacity. I see many for sale in the same white and blue packaging and won't buy one again. What amazes me is the high seller ratings these guys seem to have on Ebay.

[POLL] Your Asus Transformer Tablet Order Situation by Retailer

So, please tell us if you received your order and from which retailer or if you have placed an order and that order is in backorder along with the name of the retailer.
I would say that if your order is in processing, you shouldn't vote yet until there is status update. So, one of my orders with newegg is sitting on "charged" so, I am going to see what happens with that before voting.
Also - you don't denote whether you ordered the 32 GB or not. I ordered the 32 GB and thus knew I wouldn't be getting it shipped right away.
how any of these threads do we need?
Yeah, well order is an oder be it 16GB or 32GB version. I can't edit the poll, please someone edit the poll with list of all retailers and same options for them.

21st in line on NCIX.com in Canada. Hopefully mine is shipped in the next batch they receive!
Hey!!! Why no Walmart or received from other..lol. I ordered (16GB version) on the 26th and got it today around 2:00pm EST. So far it's pretty awesome
Why not walmart? I can't edit the poll anymore so a mod will have to edit and enter other retailers in.
My amazon order had small update but thats about it and it seems most of the people here have orders stuck with amazon.
I've got a preorder from amazon with no shipping estimate

Great deal on s9 Plus from Samsung right now.Worth it for us Note 9 potential buyers?

Just saw Greggles talking about this yesterday. You get a S9 Plus and you get a free Chromebook and a 64gb micro SD card as well.
If you don't use the spen a lot is that deal with it since it's $100 cheaper than the Note 9 and getting the Chrome Book and SD card as well? Also I got an s8 Plus sitting in the drawer as well for trade in.

I got their other deal last week. They were giving $400 for trade in of the S8+ with a 256GB SD card on the unlocked models. [emoji846]

I got the deal last week too, $200 trade in for any working phone and 256GB card. I sent a working junk phone that some one gave me back.
I would never use a chrome book the 256GB SD card is more beneficial to me.
The note 9 is nice, but I would also never use a s-pen for anything.

Pretty good deal, the total for my 128GB S9+ and 128GB redEvoSD is $840 including state tax and after subtracting additional $140 I have gotten for the Chromebook. Total price. Just opened email from Paypal that someone paid me $160, the asking price for the 32GB Chromebook. Not bad, it's been 'back to school' season, it took only 2 days to sell it. I don't have a need for that chromebook, glad that someone have it, brand new, for $60 below orig. price. They paid extra $10 fee to swappa, I'm shipping it out tomorrow, label printed, paid $23 to USPS for that.

I did not think about the back to school angle. Nice!
I buy brand new, never been used, phones only once every 5 - 6 years. I usually buy off swap or local. So I always go big when I do.
Got the 256B unlocked version and the 256 GB card for $818 and some change. Of course that is pending they accept my 200 trade in. The phone had no cracks, held a charge, and was no other issues besides cheap.
I was slow on the draw and missed the sale they had a couple of weeks ago when they were giving out free bluetooth headsets. was kicking myself, but realized I have a really good pair so. Storage is what I need most.
i'm not sure the deal is working correctly...
the final payment is over $1000 when the phone is only $839, and the fine print says excludes taxes... seems like they're charging for the "free" chromebook?

Well, nothing is free. I'm happy to have this phone, though with sagging sales on S9/+ we should see much better deals soon.
I have a question to ask, if you guys don't mind, what is the current SV number on your phones, you've probably bought your phones around the same time as I did and I'm baffled by having SV07, is that the # tells how many times the software was cycled on the phone? I only got one OTA installed so far. Did I pay for a 2nd hand phone?
