eBay 32gb sdhc (don't laugh)

Was wondering if anybody ever bought one of these 32gb sdhc cards and if so, then what was their experience like?

they are usually fake. they change the headers so when you plug it in it sees 32gb, but space runs out before you get to 1-2gb
not to say all are fake though. make sure your seller is well respected

I have one being shipped. I found out afterwards that these guys hack 2Gb cards to make them seem to be 32gig, but if you test them you get 29.2/32 BAD. ...from what I hear.
Also, It seems like the companies will give you a refund if you tell them you will give them good feedback for refunding your purchase?? Kind of scammy, to get more people to think they are good, but hey YOU get YOUR money back right.
I will report back when it arrives. I do not have high hopes, I paid less than $30.
I got some great 16gb's off ebay though for $27-30.

The seller seems pretty good with 100,000+ reviews and only a few negative ones.The few negative reviews are all for 32 GB sd cards. And some positive reviews that said the card was fake but they got a refund.

I bought an 8gb Class 6 unbranded one off ebay for £14 expecting it to be fake, but it's brilliant...
I'm about to test it with the software flybyme recommended though...

The eBay memory card arrived, and it is definitely fake. I am not that upset since I knew it was going to be fake. ($28 for 32GB was the clue)
The test returned 1.9 GB good. I have purchased 2 16gb cads from ebay previously that are both flawless. So they aren't all fake.
Time to fight for the refund.

No, did you read my previous postings?

I hope you leave negative feedback on that guy, and you have ebay refund your money so he gets pinched. I'm betting Dante is revising his circles of hell to include a spot for people who sell fake products.

Try putting 29GB of data on it first before you celebrate. The fake ones all report the correct size, but are really smaller cards and can't hold anything more than the original size.

Sounds like a good deal then

just figured out 64gb card will work for this phone.

Yesterday my 32 gigger crapped out on me. Froze my phone, too. Didn't have another one. So I put in a 64 sandisk class 10 and holy cow the phone recognizes it. Got 4 of the 64 gig lying around. I knew these guys were good for something.

Can you address all 64 GB? It doesn't surprise me that the phone can read/write the card, but I am thinking it might behave like putting a "too big" drive into a x86 machine, be it when CHS became overwhelmed, or the whatever-it-was x-TB limit that was recently hit by older machines.

Just ordered a 64gb SansDisk Ultra for another phone. Should be here in a few days. I'll slap it into the 4g to see if it recognizes all of it.
EDIT: Formatted fat32 primary and phone is able to use all the the 59gb.

that's still pretty amazing.

A review on Amazon talks of the cards getting very hot and failing.
I don't have much more information that this, nor can I confirm that the issue described is why Amazon is no longer selling the 64 GB card.

I ordered the AFFP-A a while ago and have had zero issues with it. It's 60 bucks right now but I bet it goes on sale for Black Friday. I'll vouch for that card. I have 47g of music on it and still have 12g left over for other things. Get it and you won't regret it.

These 2 items are the same product, same card. The only difference is one comes in retail packaging, and one tries to save Earth just a bit by packaging in Amazon's Frustration Free Packaging (AFFP).

Using a SanDisk 64gb in mine right been formatted in the s4 and all works great at

i ordered off ebay since i had a 25$ ebay bucks certificate. i ordered a 64gb sandisk class 10 from dz-tech for ~$55 i ran a test on it that wrote 64gb of crap to and verified it so its legit.,, took forever but if you must go the ebay route i recommened sellet dz-tech

Yeah a few days back they were like $35 plus tax. I'm trying to find one right now as well. if I see anything under $45 I'll post a link.

I just went with the top-rated 64 GB Class 10 micro SD card on Amazon and it worked out. Be sure to get Class 10, it makes a big difference when you're watching 1080p movies or copying a lot of files!

Here's where I got mine. It was on sale for $49.99 but it's up to $53.46 which does include free shipping. And it is SanDisk and not some off name brand. Good stuff and brand new. Worth paying a little extra sometimes to make sure it's good.

If you don't need it asap, I recommend waiting a few days, or even weeks. Their is always deals on those cards. You can save up to $20 or even more.

I found out about two weeks ago there was a 128 gb micro sd out, and it was going for $200, but if you pre ordered it with Amazon you only paid $119.00, but you had to wait 4-6 weeks for it to be sent to you. I didn't have the extra funds in my account to get this.
So i said to myself i'll wait, and get it when i have to extra cash to spend. Now that i have it, Amazon is no longer selling it at that price.

1) "never buy flash sd or micro sd from online retailer. Period!
2) only buy flash sd or micro sd from a store with an excellent return policy such as bestbuy or futureshop.
Yes you'll pay premium dollar but the reality is there are fake memory cards everywhere and the retalers don't even know they are selling it and if they don't even know they are selling it, good luck proving it!
Also 69 is way too good to be true! you need at least clash 10 on android and and heck Sandisk is the only memory card manufacturer that has proven their use on android, if it not Sandisk, forget about it!
I hate fake memory cards, worst thing about them is how much time you invest in trying to fix them! You spend the first week in denial that you could possibly been sold a fake memory card and spend all this time formatting and re-formatting them with different applications and operating systems, try different roms, different kernel combinations, posting help because your rom is acting buggy, lose data? and all the while reason for all your woes has been due to using a fake memory card.

Very probably fake, i was buying mine twp months ago and the one with the largest storage was 64 gb. More than enough for 99% of uses.

I got mine from Amazon for the $119 price a couple of weeks ago. I formatted it to Fat32 with 8k clusters...no issues at all. Card is detected at proper size and is detected in custom recovery fine also.

I've bought them from Amazon.
They need to be sold and shipped by Amazon.
I've had one fail. No issues was able to get a new one.

the one sold on new eggs is fake, anything at 64gb or above are micro sdxc, not micro sdhc as stated.

Works just fine, as has been shown numerous times. At the moment the specsheet for the S4 was made there were no 128GB cards.
So I assume you just looked at the specs to get that (wrong) assumption?

128GB SD cards will work with our phones with a SD to MicroSD adapter. i use one now.
in fact it will go up to 256GB
NOTE must be formatted to Fat32 to best compatability, also depending on your kernel.

Sandisk are making some (soon) though?

The 128GB card works on the S4, even though I have mine in my Note 3.

I believe he was talking about the Samsung from Newegg. This is definitely fake. As said before, anything above 32GB is SDXC, not SDHC like in the picture. Also Samsung has not yet releases 128GB. Also, look at the picture. "12" is of a different font /size than "8". The reviews for the seller "Redtagonline" has 2 stars out of 5. Just preorder from Amazon. Make sure you format it as either Fat32, or eXFat if your Kernel supports exFat

Man, Amazon still advertising @ $119 but been out of stock forever.

I have the Sandisk 128gb from Amazon in my S4, it works great without problem.
The micro sd to SD card adapter that comes with the micro SD did not work with either PC or Mac, so I had to plug my card into my card reader instead, which worked fine.

I've had better luck with returns with Amazon than with Worst Buy which will never get my business again. To each his own.

Real or Fake 128gig Samsung Micro SD Card?

Paid 80 bucks for this from amazon about a month ago. 40 bucks after i used my rewards. What do u guys think? REAL OR FAKE? Looks official to me. Came from China.

good to know youre getting a fake adapter with your fake card lol.

It could be that a version of this is sold overseas, which does not include the sd card adapter.
However, what does worry me is the text for '128' looks slightly off imo. You can notice it more with the '2', but it seems a little stretched or elongated vertically.

Looks fake. I purchased the same card from Amazon (ships & sold by Amazon) and it came with the adapter. If it was shipped from a third party it more then likely is fake.
Plus, why would your model number be 16D when it's a 128GB card?

I never, ever buy flash memory from amazon or ebay... 99% of them are fake. You are pretty much stuck buying from authorized resellers as there are so many fakes you are more likely to get a fake one than not (most people just don't know it yet because they didn't hit the upper limit of the actual storage capacity which has been faked).

Just make sure if you purchase anything from Amazon that it says "Ships & Sold by Amazon" and you should be fine.

I always buy like that...but i did take a shot knowing amazon had me just incase. When i was ordering it i knew it was gunna be fake but again...i took a shot
