eBay 32gb sdhc (don't laugh) - Nexus One Accessories

Was wondering if anybody ever bought one of these 32gb sdhc cards and if so, then what was their experience like?
hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/32GB-TF-Memory-Card-32G-Micro-SD-SDHC-MicroSDHC-MicroSD-/180527156723?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Electronics_Memory_Cards&hash=item2a0841cdf3#ht_979wt_1077

they are usually fake. they change the headers so when you plug it in it sees 32gb, but space runs out before you get to 1-2gb
not to say all are fake though. make sure your seller is well respected

I have one being shipped. I found out afterwards that these guys hack 2Gb cards to make them seem to be 32gig, but if you test them you get 29.2/32 BAD. ...from what I hear.
Also, It seems like the companies will give you a refund if you tell them you will give them good feedback for refunding your purchase?? Kind of scammy, to get more people to think they are good, but hey YOU get YOUR money back right.
I will report back when it arrives. I do not have high hopes, I paid less than $30.
I got some great 16gb's off ebay though for $27-30.

use this to test

you also have ebay paypal buy assurance so you have something to fall back on

Thank you. I will post the test results in 2 weeks or something. It was free shipping from hong kong
The seller seems pretty good with 100,000+ reviews and only a few negative ones. The few negative reviews are all for 32 GB sd cards. And some positive reviews that said the card was fake but they got a refund.
oh well

teh OP buy this memory? im kind iterested pretty cheap tbh

I bought an 8gb Class 6 unbranded one off ebay for £14 expecting it to be fake, but it's brilliant...
I'm about to test it with the software flybyme recommended though...

The eBay memory card arrived, and it is definitely fake. I am not that upset since I knew it was going to be fake. ($28 for 32GB was the clue)
The test returned 1.9 GB good. I have purchased 2 16gb cads from ebay previously that are both flawless. So they aren't all fake.
Time to fight for the refund.

No, did you read my previous postings?

I hope you leave negative feedback on that guy, and you have ebay refund your money so he gets pinched. I'm betting Dante is revising his circles of hell to include a spot for people who sell fake products.

I purchased one for $133 with shipping from amazon marketplace (GoBeyond).
It's shipped from Ireland, WOW!!! but I got true 29.7GB (measured from host and phone).

Try putting 29GB of data on it first before you celebrate. The fake ones all report the correct size, but are really smaller cards and can't hold anything more than the original size.

2GB Sandisk MicroSD Card on Ebay - Real or fake ???

Hi,
does anyone know whether this is a real or fake offer:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-SanDisk-mic...151690QQihZ011QQcategoryZ118260QQcmdZViewItem
They don't offer a noname product but mark it "Sandisk" (I can remember that the first *Mini*SD - not MicroSD - on the market was a no-name product, Sandisk only followed a while later).
USD 99 wouldn't be too much for this high-end flash memory, but for a fake it definitely would be too much.
(Of course also the additional costs for shipping and import tax would have to be taken into account, but maybe a dealer could be found to import it and retail it to us - provided this product really exists already.)
Any feedback on that ?
The MicroSD 2GB is the real deal, and so is the eBay seller flashman852. I have done business with him before and right now I am awaiting yet another flash card from him. He has positive feedback from 112.000+ unique users and negative from less than 1.000. I'd say that's a pretty good record, although now perfect.

I agree. It's the real deal. MicroSD started life as TransFlash then got adopted as an SD format, since it's compatible via an SD adaptor.
I bought one from another eBay seller on July 2nd for my 8125. It's worked fine since then and I have a bit over 1.5Gb of data on it, with room to spare
http://stores.ebay.com/eDigital-Express
Seems the Seller I used only charges half the price too. And they were very pleasant to deal with.

No you didn't.
MicoSD IS NOT MiniSD.
Oops, you're right. I didn't know there was such a thing.
Well mine didn't appear to be genuine
Bought a Qumox card from the same ebay seller flashman852.
Worked fine for initial tests but when the card started to fill it broke.
Now it wont even format and they are being difficult about a refund.
Will now only buy direct from Amazon, 7 Day shop or similar reputable seller.
Search for an article using fakeflashtest.

Fuddggggeee, I was just looking on my computer the other night and I saw a great deal on Newegg for a class 10 64g card- I don't got the link and I forgot the name as I'm on my phone and I was just browsing, but it'd just take a look on the site.

I bought a 64gb sandisk ultra class 10 for $25 a little over a week ago from Amazon warehouse. It was slightly used but looks and performs as new. I saw the deal on slickdeals. Not sure if there are any left. They seem to sell fast once offered.

I see quite a few really cheap micro SD cards on eBay but I'm scared of purchasing a knock-off. Does anyone have experience with this?

I don't have experience with the ones on eBay but I would definitely stick with well-known sellers. FYI the 64GB card is back on Amazon for $25.06 now. I'm thinking about ordering one. Reviews on Slickdeals say that the cards are legit with expected speeds.
Edit: Also now shows they're coming in stock on May 1 as opposed to May 7. I went ahead and ordered one. If it's bogus Amazon is pretty easy with returns.
Seems that you just need to refresh every few minutes as they're going in and out of stock.

Not sure which ones you're viewing, but I have a 64gb SanDisk Extreme, 2 64gb SanDisk Ultra, 2 32gb SanDisk Ultra, and a LOT of smaller, older SanDisk cards. I've never had an issue with any of my many SanDisk micro-sd cards, nor any SanDisk card my friends & family have. My old SanDisk cards that I used 5-6 years ago still work just like a new one. In fact, SanDisk is the only brand card I'll buy!

Hello There My Friend, I Wish that everything is great and You Are Okay, Be Noted that You will get 2 Shipments or 2 Package the first will have the SAMSUNG Micro SD 128gb And the Second will have the Adapter for the SD, If You face any problem with our items Just let us know here and we will solve any problem according to your wish and as you like, Thank you And best wishes!
good to know youre getting a fake adapter with your fake card lol.
It could be that a version of this is sold overseas, which does not include the sd card adapter.
However, what does worry me is the text for '128' looks slightly off imo. You can notice it more with the '2', but it seems a little stretched or elongated vertically.
I would try some sd card benchmarks
Find out easily... http://www.heise.de/download/h2testw.html
Looks fake. I purchased the same card from Amazon (ships & sold by Amazon) and it came with the adapter. If it was shipped from a third party it more then likely is fake.
Plus, why would your model number be 16D when it's a 128GB card?
Here's the one I got:
YEAHP, it's fake lolol. Time to call amazon and my credit card.
Money credited back to my account including my points. Knew amazon would back me up as well as my credit card, so i took a shot at it.
I never, ever buy flash memory from amazon or ebay... 99% of them are fake. You are pretty much stuck buying from authorized resellers as there are so many fakes you are more likely to get a fake one than not (most people just don't know it yet because they didn't hit the upper limit of the actual storage capacity which has been faked).

What is your 128gb micro sd card choice?

Hello guys, I guess we don't have this discussion here yet. So one of the reasons that m9 kicks ass is having an sd card slot. But which brand is the best, most reliable and fast? What is your 128gb choice?
I honestly was gonna go for sandisk but I read some worrying reviews on amazon as they sent some people fake sandisk microsd cards and they sucked. That's another thing, where can we buy those online, the safest place?

I'm very surprised to hear that SanDisk would send out fakes and risk their reputation. This must be Amazon or a 3rd party doing this.
Samsung have always been great at making memory chips so I see no reason why their memory cards wouldn't be top standard.

This is one I bought. It has the highest write speed of any of the cards I could find online and I can confirm that it works flawlessly. I've been shooting 4K video on it and it has the proper read/write speeds to manage that efficiently. I checked the reviews prior to purchase and they're extremely positive; among the highest of all of the choices on amazon believe it or not.

Thank you for the answer, I have a question, since I am coming from very limited memory 16gb htc one s, for the last 2 years I suffered so much about storage on my phone and I swore that I would get the biggest storage available on my next phone, but I am not planning to record 4k videos or store hd movies. tons of photos, I just want to be able to update my apps, download apps. take photos every once in a while without seeing a low storage message
so my question is would 64 gb micro sd card be enough for me definetely or should I just go for 128 gb?

Nah, I think that 64GB is probably more than enough to cover you for quite a while. The only reason I personally got the 128 is because 64 was cutting it close for me to be able to store my 36GB of music, my 10GB of photos, nandroid backups, and have room to shoot some 4K. If you're not doing any of this, 64 is a lot of storage and it'll take you ages to fill it. Save yourself $80 and grab one of the 64 cards on a sale via amazon. I've seen Samsung, PNY, and Sandisk all get down under $30 for the 64gb cards. All class 10.

Hey guys,
Just ordered my 128GB Ultra Micro SD MicroSDXC 48MB/s Class 10 UHS-I and waiting to receive it
I always use http://www.memorybits.co.uk for memory cards - they are the cheapest I have found (been using them for years) considering the products are always genuine and reliable.
If you're not from the UK, they have a list of partner sites on the left-hand side - essentially the same site for other countries; I suppose they have warehouses in different countries that they ship from.
Personally, I would never buy memory from eBay or Amazon again - I have fallen for cheap cards in the past. There are just too many fakes around and it's not worth the risk. Even if you get the storage capacity you expect, the chances of a "too-good-to-be-true" kind of deal on a high capacity card lasting more than a day before corrupting all your data are pretty slim
Also, standard delivery is free, they accept PayPal and they have branched out over the years and do a fair bit more than just memory cards
I promise I'm not affiliated in anyway Although I should be on commission :good:
