I'm looking for the social hub application that is on the European versions, and was supposed to be on the american ones and is on the galaxy s phones. I realize that the social hub may be interwoven into the framework of the device, but I wanted to give it a shot and see if there was an apk for the social hub out there.
There's no social hub on European tabs

I have the apk file but the US carries are yet to turn it on. when trying to connect i get "No SEVEN service availble." SEVEN is the name of the software manufacture that developed the Social Hub for Samsung...

Ditto for me.
I just flashed the new JM6 firmware and now I have the Social Hub app. At this point you are NOT missing anything, believe me ;-) It is nowhere near the mockups on http://socialhub.samsungmobile.com. All I get is a button to send text messages and a button to open a browser with the facebook web page. WTF!

I've been looking for a LONG time for an android app like this. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to find one.
This is a pic from the iphone app which basically shows when the next new show airs on only specific shows you enter in the app.. nothing else is there like on the TV guide app where you browse channel/time..
Thanks for all your help.
I'm looking for something smiliar... Would be awesome if someone could create an app that works a bit like http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/
Of course I could always load up the website, but would be better to have it as an app. If someone has the time and skills to do a proper app with a good UI I'd definately donate a beer or two.
tvguide.com has an app on the marketplace. There's also tvlisting from jersey productions.
I tried those apps and they arent really what I'm looking for, for anyone who has had an iphone and used "Tv forecast" you will know what I mean..
Instead of sifting through channels 1-900ish trying to find the right show you input it into the program and it comes back with the next NEW showing.. nothing more, no bloating of other random channels you dont care about.
I'm just looking for a similar android app, that would make my iphone -> n1 transition really complete!
the tvguide.com one allows you to put in favorites and it shows you the next showings.
Shoot an email to the dev of TV Forecast, maybe they'll port it.

yup, only basic functionality and a few bugs (beta). But still very useful
Great suggestion, missing some features from tv forecast but the best I've seen yet.
Thanks

Okay, this is bad a**! I always forget when shows I like will be on. Thanks for the heads up on it.
try TV Show Favs from the market, there is a free ad supported version with 14day premium trial inside.
this app in my experience blows tv forecast out of the water, and is so good i opted to pay for the premium version. even though all the features you want and need are free!
Check this App out. Works perfekt for me. SeriesGuide:

The facebook messenger that is anticipated by social junkies is finally here!
However it is not released officially on SE devices so I've decided to post the apk here.
To install just put the apk into your sd card and use a file explorer to find and run it. It worked on my X10.
Thanx ill try it....
can we have the update pls?
i love this app but how do you update it
thanks for the app
I guess we will be able to update the app once the app is available for our respective country
Or if someone post the new updated apk lol

Every friend of mine is on FB so I don't need any other messenger, so it is useful for me.. Why to use third party when the original developers are providing you a messenger...
Also few of my friends asked me how a mobile icon is appearing in place of a green online status indicator..
This is because I use the FB mobile messenger, it is not officially available yet for my country and so most people don't know about it lol

Hey guys
I'm on Android 4.0 since some days and I really like the new possibilites for widget: to be scroll- and resizable. As I couldn't find any RSS widget which uses these features, I decided to code it myself.
And now I proudly present my newest app: Simple RSS Widget.
The app is currently in beta status and might contain some bugs, so please don't be too hard with the market reviews
The app is free & without ads or scary permissions. As it makes use of the new widget features from Honeycomb & ICS, you need at least Android 3.0 to use this widget!
Download:
Android Market
AndroidPIT
Looks great, however I can't install, the Market tells me my Nexus One is not compatible - need to wait for ICS. ;-)
new beta for blackbearblanc, changelog:
multiple rss feeds should be possible now
option to use Roboto light on title/text on Android 4.1
should now also support atom feeds

does that happen on a specific feed? if so, can you PM me the url?
I tried to use this widget to show the feed http://www.reddit.com/r/Jokes/.rss but I found the story text is not formatted and placed all on one line. In addition the texts are littered with """.
I don't mind it being all on one line so much, but properly displaying the " would be nice.
Sometimes when unlocking phone, the widget is empty. A refresh is needed
I don't know if this thread is still active, but needed somewhere to ask, How can I delete the default feeds, from "Simple RSS" and add manual feeds, no matter what I do it keeps on reverting back to the default Feeds. please direct me to right direction to fix.
Thank you

Hey there,
Here are FRESHLY-EXTRACTED, with some mods (forgot to mention) Games Hub and Social Hub from SII.
FAQ--It's NOT the Curse Word!
What is a Games Hub? :O
-> A Application which features for Gaming Online or playing Social Games. It is done by Samsung and is found in the SGSII Model I9100. I thought to Extract them and Post it here.
What is a Social Hub?
-> A place where all your social networking updates are stored. You dont have to sign into different applications for different SNS. Therefore, it saves the RAM and the Battery to a certain extent.
P.S-> These are FRESH apps. They are Un-Touched. I dont Have my Phone NOW to test it!
Also, These work on my friend's I9000 flawlessly. Yeah, The Game's Hub argued that it wont open, we scolded it and then it agreed to! .: We Just Re-Booted the Phone :.
Try it out and tell me!
My phone is in for a Touch-screen Replacement! Didn't like the old one you see
Games HUB-> http://www.multiupload.com/YDWRC3ZH9Q
Social HUB-> http://www.multiupload.com/WR38B3KS2Q
-------------------
How-to.
-> Download the Apps.
-> Copy them using Root Explorer or anything equal.
-> Paste them to /system/app.
-> If they work show it off to your friends, If they dont, Just think these apps dont exist

AirDroid already controls your phone from any web browser, but the latest version of the app offers more useful features, like a new "find my phone" service that pinpoints your device via GPS and complete remote control of your device's camera. :good::good: Plus, it no longer requires your phone be on the same network to connect to it.
AirDroid 2 is in private beta, but the developers dropped the invite-only requirement to download. Even though the app isn't up at Google Play, you can download the APK from the link below. If you don't have an AirDroid account, you'll be prompted to create one when you download and launch the app. The two major features: GPS location and camera control, both work seamlessly. :victory:
You have to have GPS on for the 'Find My Phone' feature to work accurately. You also no longer have to have your phone and your desktop on the same network to control it—if you pair your phone and browser by scanning a QR code, you can turn off Wi-Fi and still manage your device over 3G/4G. If you want to give it a try, hit the link below for a direct download.

Yeah me too. It seems like it would be a great app, but I dont know if I trust that the dev wont have access to my phone as well since you dont have to be in the same network.
