Problem connecting to dock

This just started happening recently: when I place my Nexus One in the car dock, it doesn't recognize that it is in the dock. It still charges, but Car Home doesn't start, nor does it connect to the dock via Bluetooth. I checked the connections on the bottom of the phone and in the dock, and they seem clean, and the phone does not seem loose in the dock. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

[Q] Car Dock Calling problem

I am sure there is a setting for this just cannot find in on the phone or in the hidden menus.
Problem: When the Fascinate is placed in the Verizon Car Dock and phone call is place via the bluetooth connection the call is distorted (over amplified sounds like). The sound quality of the call is simply not intelligible.
Troubleshooting the problem I narrowed the issue down to the actual car dock mount. Sound quality is GREAT when connected via bluetooth and/or connected to the car charger. Place it in the dock and whammo - crappy sound.
I understand there are small magnets that the Fascinate senses and cause the phone to go into Car Dock Mode. Anyway of turning this off?
Thanks All.
If you are referring to the verizon car dock I have the same issue. I tore the dock apart but found no magnets so I believe the issue lies in the electronics in the little black box that slides down and plugs into your phone. My work around is dial a number, when it goes to bluetooth, switch it to handsfree then back to bluetooth. Or slide the charging plug up make the call then push it back down. Yes it sucks...

Samsung Official Car Dock "MOD"

Just wanted to tell everyone I "solved" the problem of the official Samsung Car Dock not playing music and phone calls through the headset.
Well, sort of. I removed the entire "USB slider" mechanism, and just hook up the power cord and headset directly to the phone.
If you pry apart the back of the slider, there a just some small screws holding to the dock. It comes apart easily.
Not quite the software solution I would have wanted, but the official dock is pretty cheap right now compared to alternatives, so I went with it.
I dont have a car dock I just run a soldered in audible cable out of the headphone jack. Perfect audio in, but thats also because I drive a VW that I had to do that.
I'm running SC2.9.2 - car dock works just fine with the USB slider and headphone out the back. Use the Car Cradle app and hit the Speaker icon. That turns on the USB sound. Been working for several of the previous versions of Froyo also.
I'm having a lot of trouble believing that none of you guys ever pop into the Dev section.
OTB'd CM6 FTW
Wouldn't an easier solution have been to just turn dock the phone upside down then flip the dock around? No need to pull of the slider mechanism.

[Q] G2X Card Dock Good - Desk Dock Not

Just got my G2X and purchased both a card dock and a desk dock from my local T-Mobile store. The card dock is not bad and also fits my older Samsung Vibrant and my wife's iphone. I have orderd a 90 degree micro USB connector and will see if I can figure outa way to connect it tot he car dock so I can easily charge while I am driving
I am having an issue witht the desk dock which interestingly is the same issue I had with the samsing vibrant in the vibrant car dock. if I connect the phone dorectly to the laptop running Xp withthe supplied cable, it charges and I can mount the USB drives in the phone. When in the dock, it will charge but I get a USB Device not recognized error
Anone else seeing this?
The dock might only have the charging wires in it...... Is the wire you use to connect it to computer the same wire attached to the dock? Does the dock need a power supply? which dock is it so we can look it up.

My car and desk docks arrived yesterday - I ordered them online.
Same issue with the desk dock. Win7 x64 Ultimate recognizes the dock as a USB root hub but is looking for drivers.
No, it doesn't require a separate power adapter - it pulls the juice from the USB port when plugged into the computer.
If anyone has a solution it would be GREATLY appreciated!

[Q] Dock for Car

Hey guys,
i need some help / ideas for the best solution for my "docking"-problem in my car.
I have a bmw and since there are no snap-in adapters for htc i have to go over audiojack for listening music with spotify and i can't just put it to the place where the audiojack is because i have to control music with the touchscreen (iDrive 1 so no bt-audioplayback/control...).
Now i got 2 problems:
1. the cable looks ugly when its plugged in the phone and
2. i have no idea where to place my holder because every place i put the ugly holder the car looks cheapy.
So, my idea is to go over the pogo-pins!
Yeah pogo-pins but i don't know the assignment of the pins so the solution would be the cr s650 dock.
BUT! i think i my car won't be able to provide enough power through usb (is it possible to power the dock with usb?!).
The plan was to place the dock (please see the attachment) in the red circle and put the cable under the cover to the usb charger and the audiojack.
And also i have to modify the dock so i can plug in a jack into the dock or just solder a cable or whatever...
So my questions are, do you think this will work? And what problems i will have implementing this? Any other better ideas maybe?
Thanks for help and sorry for my bad english i think

I have no idea about the pogo pin dock, but I would avoid making any permanent modifications to a BMW and deal with the ugly look...it will decrease the resale value...you could always take the dock down when not in use (which is what I do)
Regarding the pogo dock, Make sure that the phone stays still and will not fall off the dock with some hard driving.
Not the prettiest solution, but I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Mountek-nGroo...1131802&sr=8-1&keywords=cd+player+phone+mount
and just hard wired a power cable behind the dash (as to not have wires all over coming from my cig lighter)
The reason I went for that dock is because the phone is a lot closer and more accessible vs mounted to the windshield or elsewhere...also, regarding your proposed placement: having it down by the gear shift while driving would be pretty disorienting to me using GPS
